DELICIOUSFRESHFASCINATING — we came to the Escape bakery on a tip from H Mart staff, who recommended the Escape bakery for fresh-made Korean rice cakes instead of the frozen rice cakes sold by the H Mart. We take those kinds of tips, and so we got our 3 lb. bag of fresh rice cakes, then splurged on some custard-filled walnuts(that reminded us of Deli-Manjoos), and an interesting glutinous rice cake studded with both red and black beans and pieces of pumpkin covered by a thin cake-like crust. We have never had anything like it, but it was a fascinating combination of flaky, crunchy, chewy and smooth textures. YUM. Service is fast friendly and efficient.

Another location beside in Hmart. I’d never ventured into this space but a friend wanted bubble tea. Their lychee milk tea had no flavor at all. They might have put too much ice. I was so disappointed. Needless to say. Their bakery items are okay, nothing spectacular. I like their red bean buns, but they a little pricey. All in all, a solid place that I would have no problem visiting again, but there’s nothing unique here.

Their coffee is crap. I asked for a cafè au lait and for it to be strong as I needed the caffeine. It tasted like hot water with foamy milk on top.

It’s a decent little coffee shop inside H Mart. The menu isn’t huge, but does include a little bit of coffee drinks, bubble tea, regular tea and smoothies. The prices are a bit high for average drinks. I recommend the milk teas for sure.

Their red bean bun is simply the best!!! All these years I have been buying red bean bun from different Asian stores and they all come from this little bakery. Finally found the original source but didn’t buy any red bean bun from them, too stuffed already. Red bean bun!!!

Stopped in for coffee here and actually took the time to sit down and take in the space. This is a funky little room with bright, interesting décor. But to the coffee, good, bold, not over done stuff. I enjoyed it. Will go back for more. Employee was very nice and friendly. I’m always on the hunt for good coffee in Carrollton. If you have a suggestion, I’m all ears!

A jewel hiding in the corner. As soon as you walk into the store you will smell fresh bakery. This store is full of different breads, donuts and even cakes. Be sure to ask them if you are interested in cakes for all sorts of occasions. Roll cakes and Asians pasty are too die for. What makes this place special is is bubble milk teas. Classic milk tea and taro milk tea are my favorite. The place is rather bright because of the windows and sunlight really suitable to come and read. They also have patio seasons if the weather permits. They have free high speed internet which is a big plus. Will come back here soon.

Still just 2 stars for me. We have picked up a dozen donuts from them about 5 or 6 times over the past couple of months, and at least twice it was very obvious the donuts were a few days old. Yuck. Why risk stale donuts when there are several other local donut shops nearby to choose from?

This is not the spot if you are looking for a Starbucks-like atmosphere in which to loiter. My wife and I killed some uncomfortable time here by ourselves with a cappuccino, brown rice green tea, and some donuts. The donuts were good, especially the blueberry cake, but the coffee was not. The tea tasted like it was brewed with leftover rice water — maybe that should have been obvious? Either way, in the end we both agreed we would have been better off at a chain of some sort. For me, that means two stars.

The new place was very refreshing and clean. The environment was very laid back and easy going. Free wi-fi is always a bonus to any location! The staff were very friendly and the drinks/bread were surprisingly delicious.

Exceptionally good coffee! Runs clean down the throat. Free wifi is always great, and the music was fine when I stopped by. The almond brittle is great.

Saw the new Coffee and Bakery open where the old Yogurt place used to be, and decided to give it a try. Very friendly staff, free wifi, coffee and donuts are fresh, but nothing exceptional here. What turned me off was the music choices they made. Music was a bit loud for a small place like this,(3 tables, and one had a jacket laying on it, as if it were taken, but it wasn’t), and the lyrics were very offensive. I made eye contact with members of the staff, but fhey seemed much to involved in their own conversation to care. Call me an old fart, but that is no way to run a business.
