Had lunch there, wanted to see what was done to the space after Siam Classic closed its doors. More banquettes and a paint job. Lunch specials are under 8 bucks and comes with a small egg roll, crab wonton and soup. The egg soup was icky, no flavor, the egg roll and wonton were so greasy and no flavor. It’s a why bother? I had a vegetarian dish with steamed rice. Plenty of food. Really salty, no flavor. Service was good. Probably won’t be back had my sodium intact for the week.

This is the late review. I went to this establishment and ordered several things. The first thing was General chicken. That was soggy and disgusting. Second thing I ordered was chicken chow mein and to be quite honest it was tasteless and The noodles were soggy. I place my order over the phone and really just wanted a combo plate to go however they decided to make it Allah cart which ended up costing me over $ 25 for everything I ordered. I just went with it and figured I would take leftovers to work the next day. This place is a joke. I will never go there again. I ordered a few other things on the trip that were just as bad. No need to go into that.

Nice easy location, but hard to find because it is on a side street. Food was good, loved the fried rice, had lots of different things inside! Very extensive menu. We found the egg soup did not have any flavor, but the hot and sour soup was better. They accommodated us with the food allergies at our table. I realize this is a new location, but it seemed like it was well established already. Staff was friendly and did a good job. Recommend giving them a try!

Their new place already opened! As the owner said before that they’ll be opened around mid March, not Mid June as some people gave the information! Ordered to go for chow mein and lunch special. Never been here before so what’s not to try. The chow mein was okay nothing special about it, just like typically American Chinese food. So does with the sweet sour pork. And the fried rice was so meh! Very tasteless, blend. The price is average price. Service was fair, nothing special. I might or might not go back, so will see.

Well, OK, then, looks like the Bamboo Garden is up and running sooner than I expected. It’s the same spot as the closed, Thai Siam Classic and before that Beijing Palace Chinese restaurant up behind the SaveMart on south Carson Street near the Indian reservation. I went today with 2 other friends… and I forgot my damn camera! Oh, well, we’ll still have a review. Nothing was that earth shattering that a picture was gonna make you come here. Looks like new paint and some new booths and new lights. The booths are the same ones from the last 2 restaurants. NOMORE $ 4.99 or whatever super cheap lunch special. Not very crowded, they only just opened 1 day ago here. Looking over the menu, I see all the usual American Chinese food that most people have come to expect. We go with the lunch specials all priced around $ 7.50. You get the entrée and a choice of fried or steamed rice, egg roll, fried rangoon thingy and choice of soup between the usual hot and sour and egg 2 friends got the Mongolian Chicken and I had the General’s Chicken. They had steamed rice and I opted for the fried. The food is out fast. The egg roll was standard and hot. My friend’s said they liked their chicken dishes and it had a different flavor then our usual Chinese place. The soup was pretty good for me. My fried rice though, is not really fried rice as is so common for Chinese lunch specials, but steamed rice that’s colored brownish, as I doubt this rice has ever seen the inside of a hot wok. No added anything to the«fried» rice… just rice. I usually get chow mein at our usual place with the lunch specials. My General’s Chicken was thickly battered and fried, more thick than I’d like, but you may like your chicken pieces looking like a corn dog, but not me. The food is served on oval plates that visually give you the sense that you’re getting more food than you really are, hence, the portions are not really big like our usual Chinese place. Overall, the interior looks more upscale than most Chinese places in Carson City, but when I’m out for the food, I’ll be staying with my usual place with bigger portions and cheaper prices and tastier food. Give the new Bamboo Garden a try, you may like it better than I did. Eat in, instead of just doing take out to get the real feel, not like some people.

Best Chinese in Carson. Can not beat the $ 4.99 Lunch special. Just saw a sign in their window that said they are moving across the street into the old Beijing Palace on Cochise St.

Stopped here for a quick meal on a road trip. The service was prompt and our food came right out. Food was about as standard as Chinese gets. Nothing to write home about, but definitely did the trick.

Best Chinese food ever, both in Carson, Tahoe & Reno Area and Bamboo Garden is better that any place in Greater Salt Lake City Area, where I currently live. I wish they would build a restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah where I live, the drive to Carson City is a little long, but to eat at Bamboo Garden it is worth the drive. Any time I make it into Carson City, Nevada, I eat at Bamboo Garden at least a few times. I only wish I lived closer. The food is fresh and service is top notch.

Always a very good place to enjoy Chinese food in our area. You always get a little more than you think, such as an almond cookie and a fortune cookie. Their twice cooked pork is great. Very pleasant staff.

We came here tonight with my in laws for the first time. We had the dinner for 5 with the poo poo platter to start and wonton soup and an amazing array of seafood, and beef for dinner. The food was amazing! We had more food then we knew what to do with and the service was phenomenal. We will be coming back for sure and recommending it to anyone we know who’s looking for good Chinese food.

Everything was really great and they delivered it to my hotel room. The only thing I wasent super stoked on was the pork noodle soup but even that was fine. I will definatly be ordering from here again when im in the area.

Many Chinese and sushi restaurants in the Carson Valley will not make items to order – Bamboo Garden will. As a picky vegetarian who doesn’t like a lot of thick, gooey sauces on my food, the folks at the Bamboo Garden were happy to adjust menu items to satisfy my palate. They brought the sauces on the side, so that I could decide if I wanted to add them. They didn’t cook with MSG. The food was fresh. Very fast, friendly service. Lots of food for the very reasonable menu prices. Nice, clean restaurant, too.

3.5 Nice little lunch that cost about $ 9 per person including tip. My friend who lives in Carson picked this place for our lunch get-together — never even knew it existed. It is between the Raley’s and Kohl’s. I chose the spicy hot and sour soup, which hit the spot on a cold and rainy day. The egg roll was delicious too — I liked that they put a dot of the hot mustard in with the chili sauce. For my main dish, I got the walnut honey shrimp. Whoa, there, don’t go too crazy with those two whole walnuts in the dish! But never mind the walnuts, there were at least 8 or 9 good-sized shrimp.
