I thought the food was decent but overpriced in my opinion. I was able to beat the lunch rush so I didn’t have to wait in line nor did I have anyone behind me to have to rush to order. The lady at the counter was nice and gave me a quick rundown of the menu. I decided on a double cheeseburger with A1 sauce and grilled onions along with lettuce and tomato. I added a small order of fries and decided to add the cajun seasoning. The burger was decent, although the onions lacked flavor. The fries were plentiful even though I ordered a small but they were over seasoned. I skipped on a drink to save $, my burger and fries were still over $ 10. I’m not sure if they get crazy packed during the lunch rush, they seemed pretty slow for what I thought would have been the busy time when I was leaving. I’ll probably eat elsewhere next time I am in search of a budget lunch.

Pretty good, decent vegetarian option here, a melty yummy«not-burger’. You can add whatever you want to it which i like, but sometimes the employes dont get the order right. So other than that, its pretty good. It sure isnt In-n-out burger though, lol. sorry but its true.

So I’ve tried 5 Guys in Washington State and now twice in Carson City. The first time in CC was when it first opened and I thought perhaps their game was off so last night I tried them again. The buger was mediocre at best. The bun was soft and almost mushy which really hurt the buger. I ordered grilled and regular onion and all I received was grilled onion. Perhaps it’s just me but the bun needs to be changed. The regular fries were okay. Wish they would do a well done fry and cook my buger medium and NOT use a GRILLPRESSTOSQUEEZEOUTALLTHEJUICEFROMTHEMEAT. But not all is lost! Love the drink machine and the peanuts!

I don’t know what’s up with the hype around these fast food franchises. I’ve had overrated Five Guys Burgers and Fries before but this trip, I was hungry and craving for a burger. Being a different location, I was giving this franchise another shot. Well I regret it. $ 14 for a Burger combo… which is ok if it was the most bomb burger I ever had. Nope… All I got was a messy burger served with precooked mushroom and onions that were soggy. If this came from McDonald’s, I understand but I am paying $ 14 for this, I expect perfection. In the end, the burger didn’t fit the bill. I’ll stick to In and Out.

They salt their fries wayyyyyy too much, but other than that it’s really good. Their fries are actually really good but I couldn’t eat that much because of how much salt there was(and I actually like salty food).

After going to a Five Guys in CA and having a better than expected experience, I decided to give this location in Carson City a try, even though In N Out is just across the parking lot here at the big shopping center strip mall thing at the south end of Carson. If Habit Burgers was here in NV, I mos def wouldn’t be here at Five Guys, but no Habit Burgers here, so here I am! Entering, there’s not many people in here and no line. So we just walk on up and order. I see the prices here are slightly less than the CA location I last went. I’m here with my BF who lives in Carson, so he gets the«Regular» Cheeseburger fixed«all the way»($ 6.79 ea). I get the same so 2X on that burger, along with a «little» order of fries($ 2.69). After my fry experience, I know even the«little» order is a ton of fries, plenty to share. 1 regular drink($ 2.39) we get to share(unlimited refills). The«regular» Cheeseburger is a 2X patty double cheeseburger. If you only want 1 patty, get the«little» cheeseburger, same bun just 1 patty for $ 1.80 less. While we wait for the order, I notice the music is turned up pretty loud, loud enough it makes it hard to talk without yelling. My BF asked then to turn it down and they did … that was pleasant customer service. Our bags of food are ready and I get them at the counter. Everything even if you dine in, is served in a brown paper bag … just their thing here I guess. To eat, you just have to rip open the bag and use it for your plate. The small fries is really a small cup filled with fries and then on top of that they add a big scoop of extra fries, believe me, a small fries is plenty for 2 people. The burgers come wrapped in foil and sort of steam the burgers, but at least it melts the cheese. With all the added mushrooms and tomato and grilled onions, this is a pretty sloppy burger to try to eat neatly … just give up and figure it’s a sloppy burger. As we’re eating one employee is cleaning tables and asks up if everything is OK. Yes, just fine. Would you like any more fries? he asks. Like FREE? NOCHARGE? I received free extra fries at the CA location, so I guess this is a policy at Five Guys now, extra free fries for done in customers! Well, hell yeah, I’ll take more fries if you’re offering. He returns in a bit with a bag of fries… looking in, holy freakin french fries! This is a whole order of fries in here… tons! So many we take home almost a full order. My one grip with Five Guys in the past has been the pricing, where I end up spending $ 14 for lunch for a fast food lunch just for me. NV prices are a little less then CA and with us sharing a drink and sharing a small order of fries, where you get free extras anyways, the total cost per person is about $ 10, still more than In N Out, but you do actually get more food and the fries are better. When in Carson, I’ll return here when I feel like a ton of fries with lunch.

Nearly 3 years to the day since my last visit, I returned hoping for better results. I ordered a little bacon burger and little fries with a drink, which came out to around $ 11 or $ 12. I just can’t justify the cost for the burger, in my opinion. It was virtually tasteless — I couldn’t really taste any beef to the burger(probably way overcooked) and there was no flavor to the bacon either. Fries were also overdone and over salted. I think I’ve learned my lesson and have realized that this chain is just not for me.

The burgers are great the fries not so much. But that’s not the problem, the problem is is that the prices are a little on the high side. Other wise it is a great place to eat but just keep in mind that if you are going to go to make sure you have a little extra cash.

Pretty good fast food store. Clean with quick and semi friendly employees. I craved some French fries, ordered the large, and there were abundance of crispy fries. Fries are good value for the price. The reason for only 4 stars: emotionally withdrawn employees and too much salt in my fries. Regardless of the negatives I will return for more.

One of the best places for me to eat a great delicious juicy burger. I tried the bbq burger and all I got to say is wow! It tasted so fresh and amazing. This burger really hit the spot. The fries are freshly crispy as well. I spoke with the manager Nick and I complemented on how tasteful the burger was. I learned that this place has no frozen refrigerators. Which only mean one thing, no frozen food, everything is made the same day and cooked when you get there. Take my word and try it out for yourself.

Burger is pretty good at times and their fries aren’t really that good(at least the time I went) Good atmosphere there though.

One of the best burgers you can find in Carson City! I love the fact they have malt vinegar for your fries! Very attentive staff and clean dining room. No need to go to In and Out, this place reigns supreme!

We have been back a few times because we love the burgers and dogs. This time the music was just too loud. Made a comment to the manager and he stated that the company wants him to make it even louder! Not good for your older customers who can’t stand the new crappy music. A safety issue: Ketchup spilled next to outside trash can cannot be cleaned up during open hours? Manager said he is not allowed to bring out soapy water during open hours to clean it up??? Someone is going slip and sue… Not good sense.

It has been a while since I have been here. I came with my family today. We had burgers and hot dog for my daughter. I get jalapeño on mine. I like them fresh and hot. The truck here is you have to take the burger out right away before it gets steamy from being wrapped in the foil. Also have to get the fries out of the cup or they will get steamy. I rip the bag and lay them out. Food was good. They have other items on the menu, I have only ordered the burgers. So one of these days I will have to try something else. But what else is there right!

For an amazing burger from a fast food joint check out 5 Guys Burgers and Fries! Grab a soda from one of their new fangled soda machines. There are about 200 combinations of sodas to choose from. I enjoy eating there as well as take out. Anyone tried their fries yet?

You know when you have chosen a burger and fries place to eat, you are going to get burgers and fries. Duh. I was hoping visiting Five Guys on Topsy Lane would be somewhat entertaining, besides the food. Wrong. I was greeted nicely by the gentleman at the grill and that’s where the warm and fuzzies stopped. An employee was eating her lunch directly across from the order counter, not concerned at all abut her sloppy appearance. I guess management wanted to demonstrate, «Even employees eat our food and live to see another day.» Well, sure, because it’s probably free. But I really don’t want to see employees grazing with sticky fingers in their mouths before they handle my food. To ruin the experience even further, was another employee loudly yakking on her personal cell phone. After several glares from me that obviously didn’t register(absent brain cells, I suppose), I asked her to please take her conversation outside. Does this place have a manager? If you want to eat at a restaurant that doesn’t care about their customer’s dining experience, feel free to visit Five Guys… And please start without me, as I won’t be returning.

Great burgers and love the soda machine but the fries were a bit underdone which kinda sucks since this place is know for the fries so close to being 5 stars other than that it was clean people were friendly restrooms clean and tidy

After coming down from Alaska to visit family and vacation away. I was happy to find out a 5 Guys was in the vicinity and knew I had to check in. I went to this location, not much parking but I didn’t mind. I went on and saw the weirdest sight. Mounds and mounds of free peanuts! I didn’t partake but appreciate customers can have some while they wait. I ordered a simple bacon cheese burgers and medium fries and drink. The first thing after I ordered was noticed the soda machine. We have nothing like these in Alaska and they are awesome. Touch screens and many different combos to try. Love it! After a moderate wait I got my food and was pleasantly surprised. The fries were good, the bacon cheeseburger was meaty and thick and juicy. Definitly worth a stop!

Great burger. A bit spendy. Always too many fries lol. I got my usual… a regular bacon burger«all the way» and always regret it… perhaps I should pass on the fries lol. Good lunch. Worth a try if you’ve never been here. Don’t forget to grab some peanuts on the way in to munch while you wait(short wait)
