I always come here to get Lemonade! The girls here are very nice! Haley is my favorite and always smiling. The cheese sticks are awesome as well as the hotdogs and fries! Great for the little ones to enjoy!

The lemonade here is soo good!!! Came here yesterday for a beef hotdog on a stick and it was really juicy and flavorful. The store is really clean; clean counters, fresh oil, and nothing on the floor. The customer service was pretty good, the girl at the register helped me decide between the beef or the turkey and she didn’t let me down. She was a bit hard to hear but I really couldn’t hear anything over the sound of them stomping the fresh lemonade. Would most definetly come here for a snack.

This is the worst hot dog on a stick I’ve ever been to. There are like 2 high schoolers working and one Filipino girl was taking my order and while I was telling her my order she walks away and starts talking to her coworker(some girl with glasses) and while I stood there and heard them talking shit about their supervisor I stood there and finally one of came back to me and took my order. Then when they called me to pick up my food she explains to me Hoe the 2 hot dogs got stuck together and they were completely disgusting and she didn’t even offer to make me another one. I am for sure NEVER coming back here!!! Worst workers ever and very unprofessional

It’s a Hot Dog on a Stick. How’re people bitching about«professionalism»? These kids are in high school. I got 2 corn dogs and a huge lemonade, which was of course was delicious. If you’re coming here for more than a corn dog or lemonade and expect supreme«professionalism» like you’d get at a 5 star restaurant, there is something wrong with you.

The lemonade here is always soo good. It does seem a little more sugary than I remember but it’s still pretty tasty. The cheese stick is better than the corn dog, but it’s good cheap eats.

This is the most unprofessional establishing in the entire mall. Poor service, expensive refill prices, and old food. Don’t eat here

what’s there to say. it’s a classic. it’s hot dog on a stick. What gets me is how long it takes to get a hot dog on a stick. 12 minutes is extremely long for something that takes me 4 – 5 at home. The taste is ok. I think they are more known for their uniforms than anything else. Maybe there lemonade. who knows.

You can tell the workers here are in high school, which is fine until they lack common sense and professionalism in a work environment. The person who took my order Seemed new didn’t know what she was talking about, had to look at the sign before she could answer my question. Then she dropped my hot dog on the counter and asked if I wanted a new one… even if the counter was clean(it had a bunch of sticky residue all over) I would’ve expected a new one without even being asked.

I don’t usually have a problem here, or any HDOS location, but today(4÷2÷14), I received really bad customer service from CELESTE. First off, before I ordered, I noticed that she went to the back for who knows what, so I patiently waited at the counter. I waited for about 4 – 5 minutes for her until I got sick of waiting and left. Sure, that isn’t a long time, but you shouldn’t ever have your customer wait for you. When I finally caught her stomping on the lemons for the lemonade, I was finally able to order. Before ordering though, I let her know that my boyfriend was just at Panda Express ordering his food, and he had my atm card. I was ordering for my little brother who was crying out of hunger. I POLITELY asked her if it was okay to just put in the order and make the food already, so by the time I receive my card and pay, the food would be ready for a hungry child. She refused and said it was for security purposes, and I know she really meant it might get stolen, but I guaranteed her that before I even receive my food, it will be paid for: just have it ready for the hungry kid. She finally agreed, but with such a long face and attitude, she asked«Ok, what do you want?» I ordered a regular HDOS w/fries & a small lemonade, which totaled out to be a little less than $ 10. You know, you’d think for the expensive price of food, you should be receiving high quality service as well! But NO. Mind you, right before I ordered, she didn’t have a smile on her face, even when I had left, and wasn’t welcoming at all. I let her know that I wanted a little ice in the lemonade. She didn’t even give a simple gesture, like an eyebrow raise, or a nod, to let me know that she heard me. I was just ignored. I felt like I was talking to myself for a little. I also asked her for a sample of their cheese stick, since there’s a sign stating that we are welcome to ask for samples for any of their featured item. Obviously, I was almost scared to even ask. Her response, «we only have pepperjack.» I told her that option was fine. But that’s why I asked for a cheese stick and not an AMERICAN or PEPPERJACK stick. Guess what? She didn’t even end up giving me a sample. For someone who used to work for HDOS, I know customer service is a HUGE thing for the company. A HUGE thing, and Celeste was a very bad example of customer service. Funny thing, at the very bottom of the reciept, it states… SMILEGIVENBY: CELESTE. WHATSMILE? Please don’t bring your negative attitude to the workplace and let it out on your PAYING customers. Just a tip. SMILE A LITTLE.

Hot Dog on a Stick is a fast food company that began doing business in Santa Monica. Focusing mostly on corn dogs on a stick and lemonade. But throughout the years it has franchised in almost every mall in California. This particular Hot Dog on a Stick is located in the Los Cerritos Center in the food court. I enjoy this place mainly because it reminds me of a fun carnival food booth. Whenever I bite into a melted pepper jack cheese on a stick I either feel that I am at a state fair or at a carnival. I usually get the cheese on a stick(pepper jack cheese) and a large lemonade. I found out that the lemonade is made fresh at least every 2 hours so that explains the clean freshness taste of lemon compared to everywhere else. The lemonade is also available in original flavor, cherry, lime and sometimes they have blue raspberry. The menu selections include hot dogs, American and pepper jack cheese on a stick, veggie dogs on a stick, French fries, and hot dogs on buns. Technically according to the corporate website, Hot Dog on a Stick uses only turkey in their signature hot dogs on a stick, while their hot dogs served on buns are made from 100% beef. Quick Note: Last month in February of 2014, Hot Dog On a Stick Enterprises filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after citing high lease costs. In their filing, Hot Dog on a Stick stated that their total debt was between $ 1 and $ 10 million. In addition, the company’s assets were estimated at $ 10 to $ 50 million. Pros: Clean food booth compared to the others in the food court Lemonade tastes fresh here =) The lines are not busy compared to other Hot Dog on a Stick locations Cons: The prices for the hot dogs and corn dogs are pricey here(so I usually order the cheese on a stick because I can’t get them anywhere else) Overall, this place is not fine dining so please don’t expect too much, its more of a nostalgia comfort food that reminds you of your childhood.

NOT a cheap place to eat! Amost $ 9 for my dog, fries and large lemonade(ie: the Combo). Its still a yummy place when you have that craving for fried comfort food. Well, its the mall. The food is already over priced so add this store to the list.

Original Flavors all the way! I like this place and I been coming here since I was a kid. However, the price for lemonade has going up beyond my imagination. How expensive can it be? I also don’t like those fake syrup flavors, they need to use more real fruits syrup not just taste better, also better for us.

This is just Hot Dog on a Stick right? Why are people dumping on this place like it is supposed to be fine dining? I love this carnival food and there is no other place in the world to get it right than at a htoas! Remember, its some re-constituted part of an animal deep fried to a delicious golden brown breaded crust. And for all the places i have been rarely do the consistantly get it right. But at hdoas you know they have the plan. Dont order fries, dont order nuggets or what ever else their marketing team is trying to throw out there, get the dog in bread fried to perfection, thats it. Oh and if your dont have the diabetes, then order a tall glass of magical lemonade.

Had the groupon deal otherwise I would never consider eating at this place. Prices for their corndogs are ridiculous. $ 2.85 and if you want a bun instead that’ll be an additonal 50 cents. The female worker that took my order was not very friendly and had that look of I hate my job. No thank you or have a nice day or any positive comment as she gave me my horrible tasting food as I left. She didn’t cook the corndog very well either. It was too damn soft. Fries suck and they don’t season them. Seriously you might as well go eat at Wienerschnitzel’s for a better deal. Overrated and unpleasant visit. Will never eat here again.

Way expensive, even with the Groupon deal. Super stingy on the fries and napkins. No green trays to carry all your food on. Extra star only because the kids like it. Extra 50 cents for a bun. Whatever.

I was addicted to the pepperjack cheese on a stick for the longest time. Their lemonade(regular or flavored — lime, cherry) are so so so good. You have to get the large though because the small is way too small. Come on a Tuesday when the hot dogs are only $ 1.

I love Daughter, but I’m going to call her GMIT from now on, because she tends to Get Me In Trouble. More on that later. It was free Hot Dog on a Stick day today. GMIT and I were all over that. The line was only four deep when we arrived, and they handed us our dogs within 5 minutes. This location clearly had geared up for the giveaway crunch. People walked up, and left seconds later with their deep fried treat. I also ordered a lemonade, fries, and 2 American Cheese on a Sticks. GMIT and I noshed on the hot dogs while waiting for rest of the stuff. My hot dog was tasty, for a turkey dog, with a crispy outside. It could have stayed in the fryer a bit longer to cook the inside, though. Tasted marvelous with the mustard, though. The lemonade was fresh-squeezed. It was good. The cheese sticks were cooked perfectly. The cheese melted into a gorgeous cheesy lava pool inside the corn crust. It didn’t taste like much, though. I wonder if HDOS has changed their cheese supplier. I’ve always gotten American cheese sticks, and never had a bland one until today. The fries weren’t very good. Unsalted, flavorless, might as well buy a 50-cent bag of shoestrings from the 99 cent store grade of fries. The employees are extremely friendly, so HDOS remains a cheery place to go for comfort food. After eating, we needed to roam the mall, to walk off some of the indulgence. I forgot(and GMIT conveniently didn’t remind me) that she had homework. So I’m going to get in trouble with Mr. P, again. The free corn dog was worth it, though.

I remember when this Hot Dog on a Stick was located on the corner next to Mervyn’s back in the day. My folks used to always buy me and my brothers a corn dog every time we passed by, which was like once or twice a week. Since they moved to the food court, I haven’t really eaten there as much. I feel my tastes have matured and I usually opt for something more filling or healthier. The last time I actually ate here was with a childhood friend about two years ago, who also hasn’t had a corn dog from here since the early 1990s. Inflation really took its toll and I thought it was a tad pricey for a corn dog. I figured, if Costco can sell confectioneries for really cheap, then surely this shouldn’t be much more expensive. You can tell how surprised I was when I revisited these prices. I just wished they had a combo in place. Perhaps something like one corn dog, fries and a lemonade for $ 3.50. I love combos. It takes the thinking out ordering and gets me straight to the eating faster.
