This was my first time here and this place is amazing. Definitely plan on coming back. Our server Stephanie was a sweetheart! She kindly checked up on us and patiently answered all our questions. She is definitely one of the best servers we’ve ever had. Thank you, finally a great sushi place with great service too :-)

The quality of the sushi is quite mediocre. They offer all you can eat but we decided to go with the happy hour because we didn’t think we’d eat the worthy amount. Happy hour deal is fair enough but it goes on all day. Kind of defeats the purpose of «happy hour» … The first time we went, they were offering a mango salad(?) sample to all the tables, just to see how good it is and if people would like it. Guess they were trying something new. The mango salad was good and was enriched with flavors, but it wasn’t something I would exclusively come here for. The service can be better. Not sure if our server was new to the job or that’s just how he is because we had to request for the same service several times. Other servers were more attentive to our needs and came by to ask if we were okay and to refill our water more than our own server did. The atmosphere is also clean, simple and family-friendly! UPDATE: came back to change my rating because first impressions do change. Something about this place keeps me coming back. Following my initial visit, I’ve had different servers, all of whom were great and knew exactly what they were doing. I still find it unusual that happy hour is an all-day thing but can’t really complain since that’s all we order from.

One of the worst service I have ever had. Server Zack totally ignored us. He is rude and when we asked him about our udon after 20 minutes of wait, first thing he said was«it’s coming». In fact, we waited another 10 minutes. Also, sushi from happy hour menu were very tiny. We orderef 26 sushi to start with and they all came on one rectangle plate. They were so small and there was plenty of room to fit more sushi on this average size plate. Then the food. The food were terrible. Miso soup tasted like water mixed with salt. Edamame came with 2 color, brown and green, or old and fresh. Seaweed salad is mostly lettuce. Temura shrimp is warm and soggy, probably premade. The long waited udon was mush like it was soaked in food warmer all day. In summary, do not waste your time and money. We were glad that we did not get AYCE because how we were being ignored like that, probably won’t be able get any food with that choice. PS. Nobody works here smiles except when they talk to each other.

Ate here a few days ago, and hands down the best AYCE sushi joint around town. The sushi chefs don’t put too much rice, which is perfect for an AYCE place. The appetizers were good, and best of all the servers were very attentive and kind. They always double checked up on me and my friend, asking if we have any questions or if we need more water. If you want to go to an AYCE sushi place with great food and service, Sake 2 Me is the place to go. :^)

First time going here. To start off the looks of this place is really cool. Very old modern look to it. And the food was as good as they were described! And got that free ice cream when you I checked in. Overall good!

Here’s the SETUP: Birthday party of 15 people. Reservations at 7:30, didn’t get sat until 8:30. Here’s the RUNDOWN: Food: AYCE sushi always scare me but the quality of the fish was OK. Tried about everything they had to offer as far as nigiri goes. Salmon, tuna, mackerel, unagi, yellowtail, ikura, and smelt egg were good. Minus points for no uni and sweet shrimp included in the AYCE menu. Specialty rolls left something to be desired. Satisfactory Service: Granted we were a big party, and it can be a little daunting taking care of a party our size and personality. They forgot things like miso soup and extra sides. Satisfactory Extras: Happy hour prices are awesome, can order a la carte from happy hour menu along side the price of AYCE. Check in for free ice cream always a plus.

I’m so overwhelmed by all the food my two friends and I ate when we came here for dinner tonight… We were super hungry decided to do the AYCE option for $ 26 per person. We went a little pencil-happy when marking what we wanted on our order sheet for our first round. We ordered probably at least 10+ appetizers, 10+ pieces of sushi, and 6 full rolls(because there’s a two roll limit per person per round and there were three of us total). When the appetizers started coming out, we began to worry that we wouldnt finish our food and be charged for leftovers because we didnt realize how large the portions would be… I went to another ayce sushi joint a few months ago and their portion sizes for appetizers were tiny so I thought sake2me would be similar… Nope! Some of their appetizers such as the udon and ramen are full entrees in themselves. The rolls were all very tasty and the fish was fresh. They also didn’t overstuff the rolls with rice which is a good thing! We ordered way too much in our first round that we didnt even get to a second or third round… Oops lol. Also, a thank you to our server, Richard, who was very friendly and kind! And don’t forget to check in on Unilocal and get your free green tea ice cream!

I had the ayce sushi. Soft drinks are included in the ayce. They have a large selection of sushi rolls to chose from and a lot of appetizers such as udon, tempura, spicy garlic edamame, gyoza, baked mussels, and a lot more choices. We ordered the raw salmon, yellowtail, and tuna. I love how they give you a little bit of rice with the raw rolls so you can enjoy the fresh fish. I would recommend the sake2meroll and baked salmon roll! They have a rule that you can only leave 4 rolls or less or you get charged extra. They allow you to take the extra leftover sushi home if you pay for it. The servers there are young but veeeery attentive. Whenever I needed something, they would be there in a quickness. Our server EUNICECHUNG was very attentive, sweet, and happy! She really made our first dining experience enjoyable! They also have tvs in the restaurant so you can watch the sport games. They also play some really good music. *****If you check in to sake 2 me on Unilocal they give you FREE green tea ice cream! So bomb to end a perf meal!

Come here for happy hour all day! It’s a great deal and honestly if you like sushi and takoyaki chances are you’ll be spending most of your money on takoyaki like how we did. Their hand rolls were good and I wouldn’t mind getting them again. I just remember getting the salmon hand roll also the salmon skin hand roll. My friends got the tuna hand roll and spicy scallop hand roll. The ones that we ordered for the first round of happy hour: Cerritos roll Spa-Ika roll Pink lady roll Fire cracker roll Sake2Me roll Highly recommend the Sake2Me Roll. Tip: if you want to switch to AYCE(all you can eat) you can if you feel that you’re eating way over your happy hour budget and vice versa. We confirmed this with our waitress. Also check in with Unilocal and get a delicious scoop of green tea ice cream.

Stopped by for an early dinner around 6pm and got seated right away. My wife has the happy hour a la carte while I did the $ 25.99AYCE. My wife had the ‘orange’ chicken which was really karaage chicken with an orange glaze, and a ½ tempura udon. My Round 1 consisted of 10pcs of nigiri(albacore, octopus, tamayo, eel, and tuna), 4 pcs golden tiger roll, 12pcs of baked tuna(scallop, lobster, dynamite, 5pcs soft shell crab roll. Needless to say, I was getting sushi-wasted early and fast! Round 2 was just miso soup to flush down round 1. Final round was the 4 pcs of No Rice Cucumber Special. All were very very good, I just should have spaced out my order a little bit now that my stomach feels like a water balloon ready to pop!

This place is delicious. Before coming here I was going to another location that was AYCE so I was very surprised to see that they have AYCE on their entire menu for LUNCH, not like the other place that excludes all the yummy rolls if you don’t get the dinner price. So they have two menus. AYCE lunch(20.99) & dinner(25.99) pricing as of 05÷03÷16. Or you can do happy hour everything has its own price. The food is delicious without a doubt. Their edamame has an excellent taste here my fav is the Garlic Edemame it has like a sweet flavor so not too garlicky. I could go on and describe how good everything was but this review would be too long. Definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Just keep in mind dinner time or weekends do get busy so you will have to wait to be seated. The service was great both times I’ve been here so I will definitely continue to come and bring all my friends to taste the goodness!!!

What better place to stuff your face than at an AYCE sushi joint? Sake 2 Me Sushi is a popular chain restaurant with locations all over Socal. I’ve been to many different AYCE sushi restaurants and Sake 2 Me is not much different from your standard place with fresh fish selections, creative rolls and quick service. Based on my first visit here, the sushi quality is seriously on point and I ended up eating more than my usual fill. Of course, the standout of the night was none other than the salmon nigiri. Very fresh, rich and buttery with some pieces cut close to the belly so it was melt in your mouth tender. Yellowtail was also very yummy too. Also, don’t just limit yourself to the nigiri and rolls. The garlic butter edamame is a must-have to snack on in between waiting for your rolls. The stuffed mushroom, which sounds tame, is anything but. Deep fried mushroom stuffed with cream cheese and topped with spicy mayo; make sure you share this one. However, compared to other AYCE sushi restaurants, I was disappointed to see how much more rice some nigiri pieces came with. You can’t really stuff sushi with extra rice these days without it being obvious that you’re trying to make your patrons full faster. Also wasn’t a fan of their weird rule of only 5 nigiri pieces for the first round. I get that they’re trying to prevent people from wasting too much food but what if your table had a bigger party? Doesn’t sound like a very reasonable rule.

This AYCE Sushi joint met my expectation! Very cool sushi restaurant located in a very popular area of Cerritos. The atmosphere is very welcoming with friendly staff and awesome décor. The seats are comfortable and spacious for AYCE. For everybody who enters the door, the staff greets them by shouting«hello» in Japanese??? Not exactly sure. We walked in and were seated within a couple minutes. The staff was very attentive, and took our orders very quickly. Items ordered: 5 Hand Rolls(With soy paper), cucumber roll, miso soup, shrimp, albacore, salmon sushi. My GF was starving and regular sushi bars aren’t enough, so AYCE was the way to go. We started with the regular miso and edamame to get things started. The edamame was very unique, marinated in a garlicy sauce. Very good. We then ordered the sushi and 5 tuna hand rolls on soy paper. The soy paper is an additional $ 1 for every hand roll. The rolls were average; they contained way too much rice and not enough tuna. The was made just perfect. We then ordered the cucumber roll! Absolutely delicious. It contains no rice, so you have a roll filled with fish and fresh veggies. By far, the cucumber roll was my favorite and should be a must for everyone trying sushi rolls. Overall, very cool joint in Cerritos for an AYCE. The staff was great and the food was very good. They also have free ice cream available with a Unilocal Check in! I will definitely be back.

Bad first impression — We stood at the front desk after writing our names on the list. We just wanted to ask how long the wait would be. We stood there for ten minutes, along with a different party, while the hostess was busy. She was busy being bombarded by one family that couldn’t make up their mind where they wanted to sit. There was a long waiting list, and the hostess wasn’t doing the best job handling this demanding family. The family asked the hostess to ask people that were already sitting down to switch tables so that the family could have two tables next to each other. I watched in amazement as the two ladies kindly got up, drinks in hand, and switched tables. If they had done that to us, I would have been quite upset(free sushi!). After witnessing that, we were not off to a good start, but the meal redeemed itself. I thought I was going to give Sake2Me three stars, that is until I tried the spicy seafood ramen. I consider it a bonus to be able to have both ayce sushi and a decent bowl of ramen. Closeby in Norwalk, Ozen Sushi has higher quality fish for about the same ayce price. But Sake2Me does have a better variety of appetizers, including that fantastic ramen broth. It says«half order» on the menu, but the ramen seems to be full size. The broth was absolutely awesome. It had a perfect spice level and seafood flavor, and I just wanted to keep drinking it. By the end, I was left with a bowl of noodles because I had devoured all the broth. The toppings included salmon, a mussel, and chicken, and the noodles were a little overcooked. But the broth was stellar. Must try items: –Spicy seafood ramen –Oishi — riceless roll that was so good. Crab meat was rolled with various sashimi to create a soft textured delight in my mouth. –Mixed tempura — the batter was perfect. Get this. I also tried seaweed salad, scallops, sweet shrimp, salmon roe, spicy tuna handroll, tuna, yellowtail, salmon, mackerel, philadelphia roll, chicken teryaki, and fresh water eel, none of which were outstanding. They were all okay or good. We were so full by the end that we didn’t even consider the free green tea ice cream for checkin. If you don’t mind the awkward waiting list/hostess situation, and finally get a table, you might enjoy Sake2Me.

When I first walked in I thought to myself this place definitely had potential. The décor is so nice! I loved the exposed piping and different brick walls… But wasn’t long before I changed my mind. My friend and I decided on getting the all you can eat because we wanted the option of trying everything on the menu. We decided on our first round we would get lots of no rice items since those are my favorites and upon the waiter picking up our order informs us that we can only do one round of the no rice option. Fine… As our items start coming out we get worse news Waiter informs us we are limited to one item each of the no rice items WHAT!!! Weak sauce!!! He assured us there were other options that were very popular and we didn’t want to not order anything else and or get up and leave so we agreed and let him continue with our first round orders. Well what’s the verdict? Sushi is mediocre at best. They give a lot of rice with their nigiri. Too many damn rules! If you leave more than 5 pieces they charge you a dollar per price. Like mentioned above only one choice of no rice option per customer. We ordered the sesame chicken and it came out burnt. All rolls«specialty,» «fresh,» «tempura,» etc were all California roll based with ONE thing changed to make it a completely different roll… BORING!!! No rice options were ok but had tons of sauce on it. One thing I did enjoy a lot was their garlic spicy edamame. Now that was good! But everything else ehhh I’ll pass! Service was ok. Waters were refilled in a timely manner, and our plates and tables were cleared in a timely manner. But nothing extraordinary or worth mentioning Yea definitely not a fan of this joint. Wouldn’t come back and wouldn’t recommend. I’ll be driving out to corona or West Covina if I want a REAL all you can eat spot… Yea it’s that serious. Lol

My first foray into eating out again after being sick for almost a month and I wasn’t disappointed. Happy hour all day? Did I read that right? Anyway, you can choose to pay $ 1 per nigiri or you can go for AYCE sushi. We opted for the former since we didn’t wanna gorge ourselves. Jalapeño bomb * it was aight. The usual meat and cream cheese combo inside a fried jalapeño. Nigiri *came out a little bit warmer than I prefer. I would be worried were it not for the fact that the place was busy. I thought with the high turnout, the fish couldn’t have been out of the cold storage for too long. After our second bottle of sake, I stopped caring about the temperature. I did like the ratio of rice to fish. Tuna(seared and unseared) Salmon Albacore Yellowtail Fresh water eel — heated right, but was smothered with too much teriyake sauce. Not a fan. No-rice rolls Samurai Oishi — I completely forgot to take note of the ingredients but this was heavenly for me. Very creamy because of the avocado and I also loved the soy wrapper around it. Rolls Firecracker Roll — nothing stood out. This is definitely a great option when I don’t feel like driving to Little Tokyo and then waiting for an hour at Sushi Gen. Great addition to the list of restaurants in Cerritos. 3.5 stars so let’s round it off, people. Be back for more.

Who isn’t a sushi lover? Sake 2 Me won me over. I’m the happy hour girl cause the prices were under $ 5 for a roll and beer was only $ 1.95. And not only that, but check in to Unilocal to unlock a free green tea ice cream. HAPPYHOUR Dragon Lover Roll– shrimp, avocado, crabmeat, eel, and rice Gyoza– fried dumpling Green tea ice cream– not too sweet, but pleasant. AYCE All you can eat. Dinner $ 25.99. My friends ordered this. By the time I was finished with my food, I got overwhelmed with just looking at the amount of sushi they got. Sushi overload I would say. STAFF Plenty of staff on the floor. They are really organized & always checking up on us. Thumbs up. Next time I’ll come here for lunch cause it’s cheaper and they have combo deals. Overall, a very good sushi experience! :)

We came here for dinner with the family. Overall the restaurant is large, modern and clean. There’s also a sushi bar section for those who come alone or want to watch TV. They have 2 menus: one is all you can eat sushi for $ 25 per person or all day happy hour menu with a good amount of appetizer and sushi options. There are some sushi options that are only available on the all you can eat menu though. The food quality was tasty and fresh. Our order came out within minutes and the servers were friendly and prompt with our drink and food requests. Note: this place gets busy during lunch and dinner hours. By 7−730pm there were multiple parties waiting to be seated. They don’t take reservations for parties less than 6. Also parking can be a nightmare so be prepared to stalk someone as they walk to their car. Unilocalers don’t forget to check in and get your complimentary green tea ice cream scoop! It was a perfect ending to our sushi adventure.

I recently ate at sake2me and I noticed there were new items on the menu so I wanted to update my review. They added stuffed mushroom, orange chicken, beef teriyaki, shrimp tempura udon, grilled salmon collar, and soft shell crab. So if any of these item sounds appealing to you then you should come and try it. I posted a picture of the new menu if anyone would like to look at what sake2me offers. I took it off their website but sometimes it’s easier to access to look at the pictures posted. :) My favorite rolls are the no rice roll. They never disappoint! I personally do not like to eat a lot of rice when I eat sushi because it can get pretty filling so these rolls are just made for me! My favorites out of the no rice rolls are samurai, french kiss, and roly poly. Other rolls that I order every time I come are red Philadelphia, pink lady, sake2me, and all of the baked rolls. The fish is fresh and it doesn’t have the fishy smell which is definitely a plus! Sake2me is probably the only sushi restaurant that I go to now. They have the option of either getting happy hour which is offered all day or all you can eat(ayce). How can you not love these options? Each works in their own perfect way. I would recommend eating all you can eat when you’re really hungry and ready to feast. A fun fact that I learned from coming here a little bit way too much is that there is a piece of wood art piece on the wall that is from a real tree. You can sit at the booth and admire the beautiful piece of art while you eat. There are customers who actually request to sit there to look at the tree. So the next time, you eat at sake2me, remember to look for it! I would definitely say that I am a regular here and will probably continue to be. :) I recommend to everyone who loves to eat sushi. See you soon Sake!
