This place gets super packed around lunch time and I mean PACKED. Its hard to find parking and you will be going around in circles in the lot trying to find a space so BEWARE. I wish the plaza they are located in had a bigger lot. But anyway, King Pollo’s rotisserie chicken is delicious as well as their sides! However, some of their sides tastes a little plain. I normally get the ¼ chicken white, with beans and steak fries or green beans.

5 stars for the chicken flavor and tenderness, choice of sides and generous portions. My 4 year old ended up eating all of the chicken and we had to go back and get a pupusa, which he also ate most of it. $ 5.99 for ¼ chicken dark and two sides. Macaroni had more mustard flavor than cheese. Rice and beans are more Central American style with red beans. The pupusa is a little bigger than other places, similarly flavored but really oozed with cheese. If you like spice, then the green sauce has real spice. Otherwise the yellow mustardy one is ok or you can mix the two. The décor is more of a grab and go environment. If you’re all about the best food flavor you dine in. I saw a lot of carry out from diff types of people and assumed they were on the run or would rather set their own ambiance to scarf down the food.

This is literally my favorite place for peruvian chicken! The portions are great, the chicken is fantastic and the prices are low! They have a bazillion options and they’re super quick, I just wish I didn’t have to drive all the way to Chantilly to get it(I live in Fairfax)

There is so much say about this restaurant, but I’ll keep it brief. This is one of the best Hispanic restaurants in the area. Everything from the chicken to the sauce is amazing. Everything is cooked perfectly and is very fresh. The menu is easy to read, which is a big deal for me. It’s in Spanish, but it translates to English right under it so you know what you’re looking at. It is also a really easy menu to navigate. The line moves fairly quickly and the customer service is stellar. The employees are very kind and friendly. They do their best to serve you as quickly as possible. I would recommend to first-timers that you brush up on your Spanish. Ordering food in Spanish isn’t hard. I’ve noticed that you get the best service when you do just because they understand Spanish much much better than English.

In life it’s beneficial to be compulsive from time to time. I read a review for King Pollo and its pupusas and immediately phoned my order in for takeout. Inside, the place might seat 5 – 10 people max and the kitchen is in full view. Don’t judge a book by its cover! My better half had already eaten dinner and I brought home four of the Pupusa Revuelta to share with my daughter. Pupusa Revuelta contains cheese, beans and fried pork per the menu. My daughter had never tried a pupusa before and was very intrigued by the texture of the filling after tasting it. Yes, admittedly I ate the remaining three pupusas. Please don’t shame me! The pupusas came with some julienned cabbage that was fermented with vinegar. Also included were some small containers of spicy sauce consisting of green chilies. It’s not elaborate or sophisticated food, but I’m a simpleton and I don’t ask for much. I’m definitely coming back for more pupusas and next time I might eat them with some kimchi(isn’t kimchi fermented cabbage? =D).

Agree with everyone that the portions are huge. The half chicken at 9 dollars is more than enough for both my wife and I(if you split it, ask for another plate to make it more manageable as they heap the sides on). The chicken is as good as any other place, but what sets this place apart for me are the sides. The spaghetti is like Chef Boyardee, which may be good or bad, but as I’m a big fan, I was loving it. The mac and cheese is more of a macaroni salad, but again, very tasty in the Chef Boyardee sense. If you get the yuca, you can dip them in all the yellow sauce you want as they have several bottles on the tables. Not the nicest place inside, but we’ll definitely go back for the food!

Great portions, friendly staff, and affordable price. A whole chicken meal with two sides for under $ 18. One of my weekly spots… quick and convenient.

The chicken is fresh and moist. Yuca and fries are always to order. Plenty of sides to pick from. If you eat it in you can enjoy all the yellow and green sauce that you’ll like. Highly recommended. Huge portions.

Food is good. They make it difficult to do multiple orders for the office at times but great Chicken.

Portions are HUGE. I had the Lomo Saltado with the red beans and rice as a side(I almost feel that they gave me too large of a plate) and it was cooked perfect and fresh. The Lomo Saltado and the green sauce was much better than many many sit down restaurants that I have had. Green sauce was just right. Loved the meal. My wife ordered Pupusas, Yuca, and Plantaines and there were great and perfect. Id give it 5 stars except the place could use a good cleaning and change in storage for their supplies.

The food here is awesome, but the service is absurd. I ordered a breakfast meal from here & they forgot to give me my plantains. Seriously, just cheese and eggs? It’s like giving me a burger without the patty. Also, they have it listed they open at 5:30am, however, I’ve ordered food at 5:45am & my food was not ready until 7:00am. It’s unfortunate that the food here is great, but the employee abilities to cater to customer needs is inexplicable.

This Peruvian pollo a la brasa QSR is a good, cheap place for lunch if you are working nearby. $ 5.99 for a quarter chicken(dark) plus two generous sides. $ 6.49 for a quarter chicken(white) plus two generous sides. –1 star for poor air conditioning –0.5 star for sky-high drink prices –0.5 star for poor ventilation and cleanliness of tables/chairs/floor

Love how their chicken skin is so crispy & flavorful! Their Alfajores Peruanos(sandwich cookies) were really good too.

I really liked the Pollo Guisado(a kind of chicken stew). I was taking a class nearby and didn’t have much time so this was a fast and very tasty place to eat several nights straight. I had the same thing every time so I didn’t sample a lot of their different things but I loved the green and yellow sauce mixed together and the pupasas are delicious. There is plenty of parking in the small strip mall and the service was fast and friendly. They also have Jaritos Tamarindos which I like a lot.

Good stuff. No, it’s not our ultimate favorite Peruvian chicken place in VA, but it’s still good! It’s close to home, so that’s always a plus. They’ve got a plethora of side dishes(which I love), speciality drinks, desserts, and more. In addition to chicken, they also have a nice variety of other dishes. Their menu can be found online. Employees are sweet and super quick. There is seating available inside, depending on what time you come, you may or may not find a seat. I love that their white and green sauces are in squeeze bottles on the counter. So you can help yourself to as much as you want. If you are taking your food to go, make sure to ask for little containers of the sauces. Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge! I always have leftovers. They have some unique bottled drinks as well. A great option to have in the Chantilly area.

Great service, great food and just overall great experience. The menu tends to change up in regards to the sides each week but they have a great selection. Very limited seating and it is better to just take out. They have plenty of sauces to add to your chicken but the flavor of just the chicken itself is great. They have plenty of drinks and options for lunch/dinner.

Maybe I’m just not used to Peruvian cuisine, but the lomo saltado I had was not something I would order again. The flavor was odd to me and the meat was very tough. I don’t have other references so I wasn’t sure if that was the way it’s supposed to be. I think I enjoyed the vegetables more. My boyfriend’s chicken was pretty good and the sides were even better. That mac and cheese was delicious! Portions were huge and we definitely had more than enough left over for lunch the next day. Will be back again sometime!

They deliver, which is nice around lunch time. I’ve had the rotisserie chicken, not bad… not Guapo’s, but not bad. The lomo salado here is really good, HUGE portion too. I can order it for lunch and get at least two meals from it. Had a pupusa from there once, it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t very good either. It was a little too greasy for my tastes. The plus’s, the chicken meals are relatively cheap, come with two sides and the chicken is pretty flavorful. They deliver with a $ 12.00 minimum. The green jalapeño sauce is fantabulous! The down sides, delivery takes FOREVER. I am .5 miles away and it usually takes about an hour or so. The tamales(which are one of my most favorite things ever) are terrible here. Blah, no flavor, soggy, and full of bones, literally, BONES! Do yourself a favor, skip those all together. Not a bad place for lunch, but if you’re headed towards Manassas, skip this place and just go to Guapo’s!

A different spin to the pollo trend. This is set up as a franchise, and you start in what remindes me of a cafeteria line where you can see what you want to order. The food all looked fresh and appetizing. I wanted Sopa de Pollo, which they had! I got it to go and it came in a 32 ounce container. It was quite good, the chicken was mostly thigh meat, still on the bone and came with potatoes, carrots and onions. The broth was well flavored and delicious. They also have Sopa De Res, beef soup, Sopa De Mondongo, pork or tripe and Sopa de Mariscos, shrimp and fish. If you’re going to order the Sopa de Mariscos, expect a 10 minute wait. I would recommend call in an order in advance. They also have a large HDTV to enchance your dining experience. I will def return to try the other soups and sample the menu.
