Friendly staff and good food fast. Had the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and chocolate milkshake. Burger was very tasty. It came hot with all the listed toppings(see menu). The onion rings were better then most fast food places. They were the frozen restaurant style, but this place cooked them well. No old fry the oil and they weren’t over salted. They came hot out of the fryer. I also received an order of French fries by mistake(they bring you your order and instead of the onion rings they brought the fries. I mentioned I ordered rings, so they just left the fries and made the rings). The fries were good as well. The milkshake was just okay. They may give you a spoon, but all I really needed was a good straw. This was the reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars. So in a nutshell, good staff, good food, milkshake not so good. Now if they had put a cherry on top of the whip cream, I would have overlooked the soupy shake and added the missing star. But I will probably go to a Red Robin again someday knowing the food is good.

How long does it take to make a milkshake? Ten to fifteen minutes apparently when you’re under-staffed and inefficient. It was 4.45 after tax and totally mediocre. They played modern rock and it was otherwise a rather generic atmosphere. I won’t be back.

The workers here are so chill! This is probably the best tasting Red Robin in the city! Made to order, and the fries were piping hot and fresh. Get the Banzai Burger! Never fails.

I went to the one on Michigan Avenue with my mom and it was really nice. Clean!!! And the service was wonderful. We didn’t realize that it was an express location vs. the full service restaurant. But, everything tasted the same. You don’t get the bottomless fries that you get in the full service location, but it was actually still very filling… I didn’t need anymore. I ordered the turkey burger, fries and they even had my freckled lemonade(my fav). She had the veggie burger, fries and unsweetened ice tea. We shared the Fruffles, which were very good. Great blend of dark chocolate and sea salt. I really appreciated how everything was the same taste and vibe, just a little smaller location. Oh yeah, they even played good music(not sure my mom would agree LOL). We’ll be in Chicago for awhile and will definitely visit this location again.

This place has the best burgers in the area for the price. Staff here is super friendly and attentive. Food comes out fast and tastes great. The more I eat here the more I appreciate how great their customer service is. I highly recommend giving them a try.

I’ve dined here 3 – 4 times now so I guess it’s time to write a review! Note: I have NEVER visited a regular Red Robins before so I cannot compare it to the sit down restaurant. Atmosphere: 5 stars. This is a fast casual restaurant with plenty of seating. Service: 5 stars. Service is always fantastic! The workers will stop by at least 1 – 2 times to make sure everything is up to par. Food: 4 stars. Menu consists of different types of burgers. You can sub chicken breast, a veggie burger for any of their options. The burgers are good but I feel the toppings overwhelm the burger patty. Portions for fries and onion rings are very small. Price: 3.5 stars. it’s definitely affordable but can add up. Burgers are on average $ 7 but do not include fries which will cost you an extra $ 3. For $ 10 plus tax, the portions are a little smaller than I expected.

I have really wanted to like this place since it opened. Have tried five times in two locations. But the burgers lack flavor to the meat. Bland bland bland. And worse, overloaded with salt in the meat. And worst of all, if you ask for grilled onions, they tell you they can’t do that but offer raw onions. Huh? Much better options in area. Epic, Coast, MBurger.

This Red Robin is leagues different than any I have been to. It is a walk up and order rather than a sit-down. It is located in a great area right off of the popular Chicago red line stop. The cashier seemed to know what she was doing and was pleasant. As a big Red Robin fan, I was disappointed that the menu was fairly limited when compared to it’s normal locations. Though most of the good stuff was still there. Also, while the unlimited steak fries are still a thing here, you get them in much smaller portions than when at the full size Red Robin, which is a con. It seems to me that the prices here are higher than other Red Robins as well, which is surprising. The aesthetic of this one was great however. There were all sorts of different wood seating, some bar seating, and cool Chicago themed pictures on the walls. I for one love Red Robin, so I will probably be coming back here somewhat frequently. However, this is not a great Red Robin experience especially for the first time customer. The food is still great, but it is limited, smaller, and more expensive. If that is still worth it to you, then by all means, chow down.

PROS: Solid food. Pleasant staff. CONS: Expensive. Small portions. I’d previously been to a Red Robin out in the ‘burbs, where you can get unlimited fries. At this Red Robin(a junior model, if you will), your fries are *severely* limited. You get a tiny cup for $ 2. Bad value. The burger itself was decent. It’s not going to obliterate your hunger, but it’ll tickle your taste buds. I got the Whiskey River BBQ Burger — BBQ sauce, crispy onion straws, cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes(I skipped the mayo). I liked it. It wasn’t huge, but it was maybe a good lunch-sized portion. The fries were awesome, but you don’t get much for $ 2. Bummer. Total for my burger and fries? Nearly $ 9.40. And I was still hungry. Hm. The woman at the counter was very friendly. They brought my food out to me and even took away my basket after I was finished. That was a nice touch. Unnecessary, but nice. Honestly, I’d rather have Chick-fil-A next door, but I think Red Robin has better fries. Shame you get so few for the money.

I got the banzai burger, which is always my favorite burger from Red Robin. I was a bit surprised that it is a walk up order place because I’ve only been to a regular red robin. Someone else with me got the guacamole bacon burger and bottomless fries. We both also got a freckled lemonades, which are amazing. The fries we’re definitely hot and fresh. They had a good amount of crisp and softness and we’re seasoned perfectly. The guac bacon burger had a bit of a kick from the guacamole. He also put bbq sauce on it which turned out really good. He loved it and downed it in about 5 minutes. The service is really quick and friendly. They came by several times making sure we were good and to see if we needed refills on anything. We loved our stop here! Red Robin. yummmmm.

i’m not sure where to start. i watched this place establish itself and finally came in to check them out after a day of shopping. when you walk in its a little confusing if you should walk forward or hook right: you should hook right. the cashier was a little aggressive. i looked puzzled, so she should have aided in helping me find what i need. it was 5pm, so she probably had a long day. my order: bacon cheeseburger with pepper jack. added a fry and drink(a «combo» that they don’t offer) and that came out to $ 11.27 and $ 12.45, with tax. burger: 5/5, i read other reviews saying that it was tasteless? mine wasn’t unless my taste buds aren’t working. i can agree with the fry situation. i’m not sure what they call a fry, but it’s a small cup without the bottomless privilege. they could also add the seasoning to the tables. my first time at Red Robin and using ketchup with my fries. what has this world come to? oh well, what can you do. all-in-all, they deserve 5 stars. they’re staff(minus the cashier), are phenomenal. Taneesha(i probably butchered the spelling, i’m sorry) went above and beyond. if you’re looking for a great employee, you want her. if i could hire her, i would. you should come try this place out — at least once. not sure if i’ll be back, but thanks for the great meal!

The best thing about this place are the employees. So polite and checking in on each table to make sure everything is ok– who else does that at a burger joint? Second best thing is service– quick. Food comes third. I really liked their menu choices but their burger buns and fries were disappointing. But the food is definitely filling.

I feel bad but I didn’t like my burgers at all. They had no taste whatsoever. It’s like they weren’t seasoned. The bacon that is used is good. The meat was just your regular patty. The staff however was on point! It was pretty packed the night I went. They seemed to be working really hard, as a team and were really friendly. If the review was just for them it would be 5 stars. I wish them the best

Red Robins veggie burger has brought much needed life to my fast food life! It’s very yummy ! This location didn’t disappoint so why only 3 stars? 1. NOBOTTOMLESSFRIES? Red Robins claim to fame is not at this chain when I asked the manager why they didn’t have bottomless fries he said only the locations in the suburbs do. The portion of fries I was given was more like a value fry at McDonald’s not worth the price 2. This place is expensive compared to the ones I’ve been to in the past. I paid $ 15 for the veggie burger, fries, and pop! But I do crazy things when I’m hungry lol 3. The same worker that was wiping and cleaning tables attempted to put my fries in the bag without washing her hands! To others that may not be a problem but to me it was! Luckily the manager saw my dismay and caught it before I could say anything I probably will stick to other Red Robins where I can get the SAME if not BETTER quality of food in a BIGGER quantity and for HALF of the price

No. We knew going into it that it wasn’t a regular Red Robin… Burger works is clearly their poor attempt at a QSR. 1. The menu is ultra limited. No buffalo chicken for me. 2. What little food you get tastes the same as regular chains. Portions are teeny tiny. 2a. No bottomless fries. It’s a tiny drink cup of lukewarm fries. 3. Prices are higher than regular RR locations. Paid 5 dollars more than usual for less food. 4. No RR seasoning on the table to add to the minuscule amount that’s on the fries. Red Robin didn’t lose my business, but this Burger Works and the like have.

Close to Michigan Avenue, the Chicago red line stop, and Loyola’s downtown campus. Thus, this place is really convenient and although it’s smaller than my Skokie location, it’s quick and fast here. This isn’t a full restaurant so you won’t be able to get extra fries nor will you be able to order alcohol. The burgers are really good, we prefer the Royale because of the over easy egg. I got the mushroom burger as my free burger(thank you Red Eye for the coupon) and I’m looking forward to trying that next. If you plan to have the chili burger to go, make sure to get the chili on the side so everything doesn’t get so soggy.

Red Robin goes tiny. Having had mixed experiences at regular sized Red Robin(with service always being a crapshoot), I was curious to see how this«fast casual» version would play out. Food is the same as the bigger version, just less choices. But let’s be serious, who goes to Red Robin for a Salad? Space is small, but sharply decorated. Clean, comfortable vibe. Slick and very new looking. Shiny. Miss the all you can eat fries of a regular Red Robin. Felt like pricing was high, so much so that I checked later on-line to compare with the full-service version and while it is not higher, it certainly felt that way. Probably due to the separate pricing of burgers and fries. Figure on $ 7.50 for a burger and $ 2.50 for fries, plus your drink, so it adds up pretty quick. Almost $ 30 for two people, I will be curious to see how it goes sitting smack dab in the middle of a 50 yard stretch of McD’s on one side and Chik on the other. Overall, it’s okay. Would I rush back? Nah, pricey. Would I eat there again? Sure.

Nice to have a clean, quiet and fast burger chain in our neighborhood. The service was super friendly from the guy behind the counter. The food itself was a typical fast food experience — frozen garden patty and okay whiskey dipped burger patty. I appreciate they had a veggie, but it was the same as buying a box of frozen morningstar patties at walgreens. The burgers were expensive at $ 8ea for the quality too.

Kind of expensive and doesn’t come with fries or anything. Great service, friendly staff though!
