Okay, so. Liked Applebees a few years back when they began to revamp their menu and stopped putting tons of shredded cheese on top of everything to mask their food. HOWEVER! Tonight I went to Applebees and was extremely disappointed with the wait staff and the food. Our waitress was distracted, forgetting waitress 101 rules and our food came out okay. The desert we ordered(fried churro) tasted like fried old fish and no toasted marshmellow as stated in the menu. The service and food quality has definitely gone way down hill and because of this experience I will not go back. There are so many restaurants in competition with each other that the food quality and service should be superb, even for a local food chain.

I am very much ‘so-so’ on Applebee’s…ANY Applebee’s, so I tend to be pretty critical. I’m just not a huge fan. However, when you are hungry and need to eat and it’s the best option, who am I to complain??? My daughter and I were in the area for a field hockey tournament and decided to grab dinner and make it an early night. We were seated immediately(some of the other places had lines out the door and I wasn’t in the mood to wait) and were greeted by our very friendly, and very fun, waitress Tanya. Tanya was a great waitress — helpful, friendly and knew the menu. We started with Pub pretzels with cheese and honey mustard. At some point in time this became my kids’ favorite appetizer and I have to tell you… everywhere we have them they are great. These were a little different as they were long ‘sticks’ of soft pretzel yumminess, but they were very good. My daughter got her old standby, fish and chips. The fries were as tasty as usual, but the GIANT piece of fish(cod I think) was just ok. A bit lukewarm, and needed a bit of salt. It wasn’t terrible, it just needed a pinch of salt. Thankfully it wasn’t dripping in oil either. it was done rather nicely. I decided to take a chance and ordered the Crispy Brewhouse Chicken — it was awesome. Real mashed potatoes, a fried chicken breast with a little cheddar, and a very tasty stout gravy… tasty, but not enough of it. Overall, this was a good experience for me at a restaurant chain I almost never choose. I see there are a lot of negative reviews, but I thought this was a very good meal and I like some of the new menu options.

I have not been at Applebee’s in quite some time and decided to stop in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. I ordered the hot shot whiskey chicken, which was one on their low cal selections. Meal presented itself very well on the plate with chicken served over the top of mashed potatoes. Chicken was very tender served with a mushroom whiskey sauce over the top that was very flavorful. Mashed potatoes i think were maybe not real potatoes but were pretty good with cheese and jalapeños over the top. For 640 calories very satisfying meal and would order again. Service was excellent.

Usually this location is adequate, but when you pay $ 14 dollars plus tax for a piece of fish and it comes out over cooked and served with a measly mound of veggies that’s when I get upset. I am not thrilled with this visit even though our server was friendly enough. Applebee’s please construct a more appetizing cedar salmon dish.

Worst experience ever at an applebees. It took 1 hour to serve 4 people coffee and meals. Meals came finally but incomplete. The server was scarce and not to bright as well. The restaurant was not packed. Horrible 1 ½ hour experience and will never go back.

Holyyyyyy crap. One of the worst meals I have had in. well, as long as I can remember. The wait was about 20 mins on a Friday night, understandable. The service was actually pretty good. But the food– wow. We ordered 3 apps(motz sticks, spinach artichoke dip, beer cheese and pretzels) and only the dip was edible. You could tell everything was microwaved and just. sub-par. I probably could’ve done better at Big Y’s frozen aisle. Then for dinner the hubs ordered a burger($ 10) and I had a whole rack of ribs($ 18). Biggest mistake of my life. The ribs were so tough I couldnt rip them apart. My husband was laughing and I asked for help and he coujldnt even separate them. I ended up cutting them all up and even then, I couldnt even bite the meat off of the bone. How the heck does this even happen? Do they cook the ribs before dinner service and then throw them back on the grill? For $ 50. I will never, ever be back here. McDonalds would have been a better dinner. Our server already had a table complaining to a manager about the food, so we didnt want to add any more drama to her plate. Poor thing, I have a feeling the horrible food probably took away from her tips that night.

Our server… a little too eager and friendly, started to become annoying.(and she wore too much perfume) Burgers were great and French onion soup awesome. Don’t get the sangria-plain ‘olé fruit juice. Sweet potato fries also good.

Inside is wonderful waitstaff is friendly and welcoming. Carside to go, for the second time can’t get the order correct and doesnt give you all the food you have ordered. Typically I give 2 chances but this location failed miserably both times. I dont recommend carside to go at this location.

Applebee’s in Chicopee was the WORST restaurant I’ve EVER been to! My friend and I went. We were seated right away. however, it took the waitress more than 10min. to come over to take our drink or food order. She was busy chatting it up with 4 other girls. I don’t even remember what I got but I know it was gross!!! My friend hated hers too. Let’s just put it this way. the table behind us. the girl ran to the bathroom to throw up bec. she was so disgusted with her food. I will NEVER go here again! I don’t think ANYONE was having an «off day». the place just sucks!!!

Love Applebee’s, after an Ice Show, after trips around the area, a nice place not to worry about cooking and just have a meal. My wife & I have the $ 20 for 2 meal as you get two entres AND an appetizer!

I took my mom and grandmother here for dinner for Mother’s Day. The service was good and so was the food. I got the cajun shrimp pasta, which was delicious. My grandmother got the fish and chips which was presented beautifully. I wish I had remembered to take a picture of it before she dug in. We were there kind of late which might have accounted for all the straw papers and crumbs on the floor, but that didn’t really detract from the overall experience. Overall, this was one of the better Applebee’s I’ve been to.

Went with my 3 year old daughter for dinner yesterday Very clean and very welcoming hostess. I am on a diet and I’m a really picky eater. Our waitress Hillary was so sweet and took great care of us. My daughter and I split a beautiful sundae she made for us. It was so nice to have such a sweet waitress. I have 3 boys as well and this was our girls night. Thanks Hillary for making our night even more special.

My classmates and I stopped by here for dinner on the way to a ski resort and I have to say that it was a very pleasant experience! It’s been years since I’ve eaten at an Applebee’s and our waitress did a great job taking care of us for the evening. As you might expect, the food’s is exactly what you’d expect out of the casual American dining chain and got by just fine. Prices were reasonable especially with the 2 for $ 20 deal and we all left satisfied.
