I can easily sum up this buffet: Bad. Food is terrible and nearly tastes stale. They charge you if you took too much food and couldn’t finish it(i didn’t understand that either.) They charge you a massive amount for dinner, which starts at like 5(5 People: 2 adults and 3 kids = 100 $). The mongolian grill is useless. they half-ass cook everything.

i don’t know why a lot of people are hating on this place. they have pretty decent food. they have a teppanyaki grill/mongolian grill(whatever that thing’s called) so you could get your meat and noodles freshly cooked. then there’s the usual asian buffet food, the soup, then crab legs, crawfish, and escargot(but i haven’t seen them lately), and sashimi. they actually have decent sushi unlike other buffets that only had sushi rolls with cucumber and some other vegetable and philadelphia cheese in it. if you’re looking for a super high quality buffet then maybe this isn’t the place for you. but for its price? i think it isn’t that bad at all. we first came here for my dad’s bday some years ago and it’s became one of our favorite buffets. it was affordable and the food was pretty good. the only crappy thing was it was pretty far from where i live.

Not too crazy about this buffet. I have eaten at many Asian buffets in my lifetime, but I would have to say this is one of my least favorite. A long time ago this place was Royal Buffet and it was REALLY good. So I was actually looking forward to this visit until I realized that the name had changed and it was under new management. They have a really cool Koi pond in the front of the restaurant with some games and candy machines for the little ones, but the food was just eh. They actually have a pretty decent selection of items to choose from, but my problem really was the quality of the food. The baked mussels were too large and the sauce had no flavor. Pretty much everything on the raw bar was not fresh and tasted old, like it had sat out all night. I’m surprised I didn’t get sick. Everything I tried was pretty bland tasting. The only good thing I tried was the Hawaiian BBQ beef from my brother’s plate. They have an entire meat section where you choose your meat and a cook grills it up for you. I always choose to forego this option because I always just want to eat right away and not stand there while someone cooks my food. I mean, I’m at a buffet, the food should already be ready! Another thing that disappointed me was that there were no cones for the soft-serve ice cream, only bowls, and my son loves the cones, so boo! The service was decent though, but I think this was because they were not particularly busy this one Sunday afternoon. But it’s not really a good sign when you’re not busy during lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It’s too bad. Also, the name is a little off-putting. I think about one of those crazy television commercials where the old guy is screaming you should go to his store because his prices are crazy. COMEEATATMYBUFFET! THESELECTIONISCRAZY, THEFOODISCRAZY, I’M CRAZY!!! lol.

It’s under new management because before it was known as Royal Buffet when this building first launched. They don’t have a wide-variety, but they do have a large selection in seafood. A lot of shrimp this-and-that dishes, but not very diversed foods. Be careful when getting foods, apparently you will get charged if you have leftovers. Which I think it’s very stupid because there are so many variables if you cannot finish a particular entrée. If you’re kid is 10, he/she is considered an adult. I was seriously like, «WTF, 10?» I don’t know, that already made me have a negative vibe about the buffet. The service was terrible in which the lady was not persistent or helpful when it came to assisting my family and I. The gentleman at the door was rude. Bleh. It’s clean I’ll give them that. But yeah, I wouldn’t come back again. Weekdays have cheaper rates. Lunch rates on the Weekends and Holidays are $ 15.99 — um, yeah. Never, again.

Crazy buffet has a pretty decent selection of food! The variety is great; and their selection of seafood is pretty good for what you pay for. The lobster was not too fish and was covered in a light marinade. My friends and I were definitely digging the oysters. They were covered in a black bean sauce and tossed along with some bell peppers for taste. My friends and I came late so we were forced to pick out all leftovers, however the server was kind enough to ask some of the chefs to make more of the oysters since we couldn’t get enough of them. They fresh ones came out, but they were moderately raw in the center. The taste of raw oyster wasn’t that great. And my friends masked its«ocean-y» taste with tons of hot sauce and lemon. I just couldn’t eat another one. I like my oysters well cooked, thanks. Sushi was pretty good and standard. Though, I tried one of the spicy tuna rolls, but the texture was too mushy for my liking… My favorite was the coconut shrimp because I loved the way the shrimp are fried and didn’t taste too sweet. The rest of the food looked old, especially when come around 9pm, so I suggest coming early, especially if you’re spending $ 16 bucks on a buffet. Service was good, waiters are very friendly and accommodating. Most of the food is mainly Chinese and Japanese. Not a big variety of desserts, but it’s understandable given the variety of other foods they have. Also a rule of thumb, never come late to this, by 8:30pm/9:00pm all the food is just sitting there and the staff is mainly cleaning up. No new food comes out, unless you request certain items. Always try to get there early, or when it’s really busy, food will be more fresh.

I would only come to these places with a coupon in hand(from the Clipper magazine) so here I go venturing off into these asian buffet places again. Crazy Buffet is actually not bad. It’s not as bad as how everyone makes them out to be. Sure, I can see where some people would get completely disrespected by the waiters. All of them are Chinese and they have that smug look on their faces. Let’s face it, Chinese restaurants are not known for their service. The only thing I look for in Chinese buffets are their sashimi. If they have it, and it tastes reasonably good, I’m good to go. All other things are just bonuses to me. If my kid will eat the other stuff, I’m even happier. So yay and yay for me here. I liked their salmon sashimi and my kid ate the food they have there. I liked their fish in soy sauce too. None of the other dishes were all too memorable though. Oh yeah, don’t give your kids the grapes. They have seeds in them. Freakin cheapos can’t get seedless grapes!!! This is why you use coupons for these places…

We went on a weekday for lunch and the buffet was $ 8.99. After reading the reviews we weren’t sure what to expect and are still not really sure how we feel about this place. If it had been any more expensive it definitely wouldn’t have been worth it. The restaurant itself seems decently clean and the staff was decently friendly. This place is just supremely average in general. The food was really hit or miss. I only found a few things worth it: the garlic shrimp, potstickers, cream cheese wontons, sushi(decent for the price, but nothing stellar), and coconut cake. Everything else was pretty flavorless or just plain gross.

If the folks in Chino had a clue what a Chinese/Asian style buffet was, then I think Crazy Buffet would have higher ratings. Comparing this place to Hokkiado, the AYCE Chinese buffets in Alhambra, etc… Crazy Buffet rocks! $ 15.99 dinner on the weekends(but come around 6pm or earlier and you’ll be seated right away). The dinner price included LOBSTER, RAWOYSTERS(I don’t eat those suckers though), sole fish(with soy sauce) you get at the Chinese restaurants, a nicer sushi bar with more rolls and an abudance of more sashimi, crab legs, a teppanyaki with more meat and even some shark fin soup. Ok…the menu sounds to good to be true right? Ok… somewhat! But for that price, it is well worth it. They even have FLAN for dessert! Loved the beef stew(grab your own white rice) and even the coconut(mayo) shrimp and other dishes were good. We went a bit early for dinner on a Sunday evening so we were seated right away. At that time before 600pm, there was plenty of food! The service was actually pretty good. The wait staff had smiles, picked up your plates immediately and always refilled your soda/water. If I lived close by, this would be my go to AYCE Chinese restaurant! This place isn’t as big as some of the other AYCE Chinese restaurants, so expect a wait I assume if you come during rush hour and the prime time dinner hours.

«Crazy Buffet» is not exactly crazy. This buffet serves mainly Chinese food and I’ve definitely had better. The food is equivalent to Panda Express minus the cheap price range. If they lower their buffet price to a dollar or two, I would up the rating to maybe 21⁄3 stars, but for now, it is a 2 star buffet. Maybe, I’m being a little too mean, since I was not comfortable. Need I mention that they charge extra if you don’t finish your plate! I understand there are starving children in Africa, but for a 2-star buffet and the rising GE foods in America, they should take this sign down for the sake of their business. So, if you get something that«usually» tastes good and it sucks that day, you are stuck trying to stuff the nastiness in your mouth. The positive about this place is that it serves Mongolian BBQ. Though, I was not attracted to the Mongolian BBQ, some people may find this a plus.

Food was okay! And recently they raise up the price again! The japanese rolls(can’t say sushi roll, because no sushi inside) used to have avocado, but now they only use cucumber. Use to have grill, beef rib, fish, very seldom. But now no more. Not a good place to go for buffet.

I been here before and WAS good at first, but not going their anymore. The sushi and salmon were awful! I got the salmon only pieces and when i put it in my mouth it was like tasting cream!!! OMG, so gross and i complained to them and nobody understood me! WTF, get someone who knows more than saying, «here’s your check, thank you, have a nice day.» Just foreign Chinese people just work there, who probably came here by marriage. They just looked at me and never talked to me! They just told me to try a new batch! I was already grossed out. Don’t try the sushi folk’s, it’s bad! Dinner is now $ 15.99!!!

Oh the long drive back from Hollywood made me and my friend delirious. After my stomach decided to pull the car over, we ended up here. It was a long day and figured a buffet would do our bodies good. Oh boy. First off from the décor, you could tell that it was a Fresh Choice restaurant, wha’ happened? Then you wonder if you have to wait to be seated. The moment you take two steps forward, here comes a little Asian lady telling you she’ll take you to a table. We sat there for about 5 minutes before our server showed up and took our drink order. At each station there was a sign that read and I’m paraphrasing here: «Only take what you can eat, you will be charged extra for wasted food.» WTF? This is a BUFFET lady. My friend went to town on crab legs and such and he was cheesing. I on the other had some things that were okay and finally disgusting. Maybe I should have had what he was eating. The sushi wasn’t the best, and I had some«steamed» fish that was just horrible. The highlight of my night, the almond cookie I had with my ice cream. As I waited for my friend to finish his dinner, the waiter from the other side of our booth kept looking at our check to see if we had put a credit card in there or cash. ITWASFUCKINGRUDE. As a matter of fact, I found it odd that each time(twice) I returned to my table with food, I would get this look of disdain as if I was only supposed to eat one plate of food and not get seafood. Hey lady, fuck you seriously. The name fits correctly: CRAZY You have to be to eat here. The fact that they pulled a bait-and-switch with the dinner prices. That this place is still in business.

I only went into this place because it was packed at 11:30am. I thought that was a good sign but… maybe not. Some of the food is ok to good, and some is just icky. It was only $ 9.99 for a weekend lunch, and I literally did have over a plate of more than edible, if somewhat greasy food. The sushi all tasted… off, even the rolls, so I didn’t try any of the sashimi. Like below, it was really weird to have sugared strawberries in the middle of the salad row and cookies between sushi and more prepared salads. My server was pretty good, but most of the servers seemed to just be hanging out and chatting with each other. This is more like a 2.5, but I’ll round up since I didn’t get horribly ill afterwards.

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! If I could give 0 stars I would have First of all their customer service is none & void… We went here on 4÷6÷11 because my 8 year old nephew wanted to go so as his birthday request we agreed. Upon entering we noticed a board listing the prices but we had a coupon listing the adult price as $ 11.99 for dinner so we approached the desk and wanted to confirm the pricing. The Mgr insists that it’s old pricing and the adult dinner is now $ 13.99 those prices are no good and they changed over 2 months ago. The coupons didn’t expire until May 8, 2011 and she would not honor the price. Also you are only allowed to use 1 coupon per table so we split up so that we could use 2 different coupons. The Mgr indicated that if she gave us the $ 11.99 price then she would have to do it for everyone… I told her it was false advertising and they need to honor their published prices. She wouldn’t budge… On to the food… just like the other reviews nothing to write home about it was mediocre at best and not very fresh. I’ve filed a complaint against them with the BBB and hopefully those of you reading this won’t pay your hard earned money to this place go somewhere else!!!

GROSS. Pretty much everything I tasted I disliked immensely. I had to actually spit several different things out into a napkin. If it was deep fried, it was chewy or soggy. If it was seafood, it was questionable in safety. If it was sushi, it was dry and old. Nothing was fresh. Nothing was worth eating. I left feeling nauseated, pissed off, and still hungry. Not at all worth it. Please, do yourself a favor. Don’t go here.

Not a bad place, especially if you like a varierty of Asian food. Some of the food is a little on the extreme(heads on shrimp– not your usual buffet fare), but you can still enjoy some dim sum, shrimp, fried rice, and more. They do have sushi, but the fish is lower quality(not a surprise), and cut a bit too thin. I shouldn’t be able to see the rice through the fish. Reminded me of sushi they offer on cruise ships– thiiiinly cut so the tourists can say they had sushi, and didn’t like it. I’d go back, but when I’m REALLY in the mood.

**3.5 stars** My grandma LOVES buffets so whenever my family goes out, we try to take her a different one. So I guess we hit the jackpot when we found this one. This place has quite a selection. there’s seafood, chinese, korean, japanese, and american. Also included is the salad and dessert bar. I always want to eat a lot at buffets but for some reason, I can’t.well unless it’s the Wynn in Vegas! But I’ll tell you what I did enjoy here… I liked the sushi. it’s not great but it’s better than other buffets. They have a philly version with cream cheese and a dynamite one with scallops. Not too shabby! They also have good lo mein noodles, beef with broccolli, and cream cheese wontons. Their coconut shrimp and lobster were delicious too. Out of everything, our fave had to be the korean bbq which was really tasty and cooked right in front of you(much like the real deal or Great Kahn’s at the mall). My mom and grandma enjoyed it the most. Good food for cheap. about $ 10 per person and a dollar off for senior citizens. Can’t beat that! Yay for family days! =)

So my story about Crazy Buffet began when I went to this buffet a few days prior to scout out potential places to pig out at and everything at the buffet LOOKED appetizing. There was a wide array of sushi, seafood, barbecue, and of course, lobster. However, today, I finally decided to eat a sunday dinner here after many days of thinking about the great looking food, thinking it would be worth it since they had such a great variety of food. I arrived armed with a coupon that allowed me 50% off for another person with the purchase of two drinks and quickly grabbed a plate to start piling food on top of it. As it turns out, the best part of the coupon was that it forced me to buy a drink. Fast forward 30 minutes and I am rinsing my mouth with the lemonade after having gagged twice from this disgusting taste in the sushi and lobster. Just to reiterate, the lobster. I never thought lobster, the most delicious of sea critters, king of seafood, could taste so horrendously bad. It has obviously been dead for a month and been in the freezer for ages before being served. Some of the other food offered was edible but mediocre at best. It is definitely not worth the 16 dollars it costs. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless: A. You’re rich B. You like bad tasting food. The lemonade was pretty good though.

You have to be crazy to ever want to come back and eat here! As much as it pangs me to give such a low rating for this establishment, I must do it for the good of our Unilocal community. Much to my surprise, Crazy Buffet use to be Royal Buffet. Not sure what happened but I’m thinking it’s along the lines of the less than stellar quality of their food, which I think will also be the cause of the demise of Crazy Buffet. Chinese buffets usually suck in general but this place has got to be the worst one I’ve been to so far. I will give them points for having a bigger variety. They have everything from fried seafood, mangolian bbq, to a sushi bar. There’s also a dessert bar which consists of your every day fruits and some curdled pudding. I assumed with all the various choices I had I would easily be satisfied but it seemed like each time I’d go up for another round, my choices would slim down. Most of their non-fried seafood stuff is covered with cheese. They had lobster but it looked really old and unappetizing. The frog legs remained untouched all throughout the night. Ick! Frog legs?! Their steamed white rice was so old the color looked discolored, like yellowish. My favorite of the night? Probably the shark fin soup even though there was probably .5 parts shark fin and 1,000 parts soup. The sushi bar wasn’t so bad. Of course the sashimi(yellowtail, tuna, salmon) looked stale and was probably prefrozen at one point. They also have a small ice bar in the middle of everything which has oysters and snow crab legs. I felt so cheated at the end of the meal. $ 15.99 for this crap? If you can’t even manage to make edible white rice then you don’t deserve my business.

It’s your usual buffet. Not great, ok if you are the buffet type. I’m not. One good thing that came outta this was the Lee’s Sandwiches that I spotted across the way. Now, I can’t wait to try that.
