Baja Burgers and Beer

I’d love to leave a review on the food, but I can’t because their official website does not take orders (it says it does). The reason this place gets 1 star isn’t for the terrible website, it’s because of the poor service. I placed an order online in their website and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. After roughly 1 hour of waiting I called three times (which is understandable, they were probably busy). The girl who answered the phone asked her manager if any delivery orders had been placed, his answer was no and that was it. What kind of incompetent manager handles the situation like that. I was never a manager, but I’ve been a supervisor in the food industry. I would have immediately spoken to the customer and apologized. Furthermore, I would have taken their order and had it delivered ASAP. IF this manager had handled the situation like that, I would have been fine with waiting and paying for my food. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Instead I got a no from the manager, and a no from the girl. Just no, no, no, no, no sorry, no. I ended up going to another burger place down the street. It ended up being a good choice, the customer service was fantastic and the food was delicious.

I had the baja burger and fires and non sweetened ice tea and all were very good. You only have one choice of fries. I didn’t know you could get chili on the fries otherwise I might have done that.
It would have been nice if the waitress spent more time with us and asked us if we’ve been there before and maybe make some recommendations since it was my first time. The place became busier 20 mins after our order was taken but not at the time of us ordering so she could have been a little more helpful.
The bathrooms and entire place was clean.

Great Food, great people, great Cook and the Drinks are great. They have baja races on there televisions plus baseball if you want. .the place has plenty of Room and nice clean Bathrooms! We will return there to eat again.

Good burgers, we come here when we’re in Chula Vista area. Juicy, enjoy the fries, and the special sauce they make.

Overall was an okay experience. Service was nice and attentive. Food could have been better. More so, a better tap list…

very underwhelming. we heard that it was the same owner as Bollwievel… so we were excited to get a good burger after our last debacle. the waitress told us the story and the improvements since the changed name. the secret sauce has to much garlic and I love garlic. I got the top burger and it was a tad under cooked my wife got the regular one and it was over cooked. fries and rings were great and 10xs better than Islands.

I live right around the corner and I never though of going here but the wings and burgers where delicious!!! Very good service and its pretty nice inside :) will definitely come back

I had a good dining experience at this joint in March 2016. I had been meaning to try out their burgers for awhile and finally pulled the trigger after seeing their special posted from Broadway. With the tvs and central bar this place definitely gives off the sports bar vibe. The theme for this one is off road racing in Baja California. After ordering I told the gal I needed mine expedited since I had to be somewhere rather quickly. I was pleased that my burger was brought out in a timely manner and that it came with fries — which I was not expecting. Both were delicious and it was nice that a tray came with it for all the condiments. The waitress was very attentive and helpful.
I ordered a beer and I was disappointed that the price was a bit higher than expected. Since it was happy hour I thought the price would have been modified.
This is a must try place for all in the South Bay.

This is place is really cool! Great food and while you wait you can enjoy the decoration that is all Baja races related or watch a game in their tv’s. Definitely going back!

The food part changed after I saw one of the two cooks (ponytail) eating and cooking right in front of me

Fun place with a Baja racing theme! We stopped here for dinner while on vacation. My wife and I had burgers, my 12-​year-​old has chicken fingers, and my 9-​year-​old was very proud of himself for polishing off a foot-​long chili dog. Service was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere was great and it was definitely a place to which I would return.

Karina was our server today. Shes so friendly helpful and sweet. Food came out all together. And had a fun experience:) ill. keep returning

The dining area is dark, the tables felt grimy. I sat by the kitchen area and it seemed as if they didn’t have enough food to go around. the cook would place a few fries on a plate and he would try to spread them out, so the plate could appear fuller, I also witnessed them taking fries from a plate that had been returned by a patron and place them on a different plate.

I was looking for a good burger place in Chula and I found it! I ordered a half pound Double and it was perfect. very hot and juicy. The waitress was nice and funny. will definitely be back!

Well it used to be Boll Weevil, then it was Bull’seye. Same great menu, same great employees, then the son bought it from the Mom. he is some big shot Off road racer and has a giant SCORE banner on the roof, so I thought it’s name was SCORE something, well it’s Baja Burgers now, and they have changed the menu.
Same good burgers, but they are absolutely catering to a new crowd & country. The old waitress’s are gone, the new ones have no clue what good customer service is. You can tell they weren’t hired for their skills, but for what’s in their bras.
They never came back to the table after delivering our food, not to check on us, not to refresh our drinks, not to see if we wanted more food to order. They only came back to collect their tips.
Prices have gone up, but the food is decent. Customer service needs to be fixed.

When we first got to Baja burgers and beers we couldn’t find the enterance. Finally we just decided to follow another couple who’s been here before. Erica who assisted us was very friendly and helpful deciding what to eat. Me and my girlfriend decided to order the hot wings and super nachos. Which were both delicious. (highly recommended) lastly we finished. Our dinner with a brownie topped with whip cream and cherries. We had a very healthy dinner today lol. We can both feel the pounds packing on us lol. Please come and enjoy the experience we both had

I was feeling a burger and I drove by this place a bunch of times so I finally stopped in for lunch.
The lunch special is 3.99 half pound burger so I ordered that and a beer to fulfill the namesake. The burger arrived and I gotta say it was good. This isn’t one of those fancy smancy burgers, but a simple burger with your choice of cheese with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles on a simple burger bun. The simplicity is what was great. All of the ingredients were fresh and the burger was soooo juicy and well seasoned. One of the better burgers I’ve had in a while.
The staff is friendly but the tap selection is not expansive. To their credit, they offered some tastings of beer before making my selection. The place has a nice dive bar feel and plenty of really large TVs to watch the game.
Overall and excellent value and I will be returning.]

We stopped in after doing some field research for a class. Phenomenal burgers! They are very well prepared. Their secret sauce is yummy. And, their home ale is very nice tasting. My only regret is that I wish I would have ordered the onion rings to try them out. I’ll have to give them a go next time. On top of the good food and beer, the staff is wonderful.
This is a neighborhood spot. The restaurant now has a big Snap Racing sign on it and the home brew is Snap Ale, but still goes by Baja. It looks as if they have pulled the interior together with a racing theme to potentially cash in on sports bar popularity, and it works well with a homey sort of feel to it. It is a nice little joint. (Nice little joints are always the best place for a burger, in my opinion).
