Saw the Unilocal reviews decided to try. Its definitely a hole in the wall, but food was hot & delicious! We ordered the house fried rice, the Mongolian beef, fried salt shrimp, & the shrimp lo mein. Everything was so flavorful. We dined in and the service was awesome & the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely eat here again.

Good food but I came at 4 and the food was kind of cold so it wasn’t as good as it could be. Other than that it was delicious…

I love this place because the owners are friendly and great to talk to, on top of the food being so good. It’s all tasty, fresh and portions are a great value for the price. When I have a bad day I like to get the Phở Ga as a pick me up because it has tons of sprouts, crisp jalapeños and lime. QThe caring couple who owns the place always remember who you are and ask how you’re doing. They even recognized me after a very long absence!

This place is an amazing little gem hidden in a strip mall. You see, I work near by and need a place to eat that is fast and delicious. Dragon Express does all that and more. They are always quick to get the food out, and they remember your special orders time and time again. What I love most about this place is they are family run, with a wife and husband team behind the counter. It is a small dining room, but there always seems to be a table open at lunch time, thankfully.
Phở is a special and revered food in my family. We are picked about our soups. This place does it right!

Came in for lunch around 1130am. Super friendly staff. Perfect portion size. We got the combo meals and then sat down for lunch. Food was great with crispy but still saucy chicken. Three people ate for $ 20. And we were full :)

MASSIVE portions on combo items, you get more than what you pay for! Items change from day to day. Very fast too, delivery or dine-​in, I do both. The owner Tom is very friendly and will do anything to make sure his customers are happy. Oh yeah, –best– spring rolls I’ve ever had! Incredibly fresh and very visually-​appealing! Get them made to order to try them at their best. They’re cheap too, my go-​to for a cheap healthy lunch. The chicken curry is my favorite entrée item, I get it more often than not.

Very friendly service and one BOMB Pork Banh Mi sandwich. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Can’t wait to try other menu items!

Found this gem by our hotel. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Food was reasonably priced and soooo delicious! I’ve been craving Vietnamese, but my husband doesn’t care for it. This place was great because I got what I wanted and he got what he wanted (Chinese food). Next time we’re in town definitely coming back!

Awesome food! Had ship Lo Mein. Only complaint is the egg drop soup is very think, almost like a gel. The red sauce they gave me is very spicy and very delicious!

I was staying at the hotel next door (holiday inn) so I decided to try this place out. What a disappointment! Yes yes the owner is nice but the food isn’t good. I went on a Saturday evening there was only 4 trays of Chinese food to choose from. No sesame seed chicken? Whaaaaat! Fine I was there already and didn’t want to be rude by walking out. I got half/​half and orange chicken. It was eh. I’ve had a lot lot better. Honestly idk why this place has such high rating. Y’all haven’t tried good Chinese food if you’re rating this place high.

I’m in the right place at the right time and so is my hubby sitting across from me. A smile is wide on my face as I take a bite of my favorite dish, won ton soup. Absolutely lovely.

I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always good food, good customer service, always clean and did I mention good food. ;-)

My coworker and I decided that we had to have some photos on Friday. After looking through the Unilocal reviews for the area we decided to give this place a try. I’m so glad we did!
First off, I noticed a lot of our coworkers were here. So it must be a good sign. Second, the service was quick and efficient. Since it was raining that day, they actually asked if we would like to sit somewhere warmer. That is very considerate of them since my coworker usually gets cold.
I got the Combo Special while my coworker got the rare steak, but well done instead of rare. I’m glad that our waitress was very patient and got the order right. We also ordered Thai Iced Tea with boba.
The broth was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our phở. We’ll definitely be coming back to try their Chinese dishes.

A go-​to place for the fiancé and me. We love both the Chinese and Vietnamese sides of the menu, and we love the husband and wife who run the place.
Delicious food, fast and friendly seevice, and it’s cheap and close! No complaints, only rave reviews.

It is run by 2 hard working friendly husband and wife duo. Family owned Chinese & Vietnamese restaurant. All food items made to order.
Atmosphere: it’s an old school/​divey small restaurant with about 10 tables that sit 4 per table. They do have a big Screen TV with cable.
Food: The first time I came here I wanted to try chinese food but quickly noticed that it also served Vietnamese Phở/​Entrees. I’m a big chinese food fan but i love phở as well so i went with phở. By far one of the best bowls of phở you can get in all of San Diego. Broth is perfect flavorful/​tasty. The bowls are regular size but you get a lot of noodles, broth, and meat.
If you’re big on chicken wings. their Spicy Garlic Wings are a must try. (fried to order)
Vietnamese egg rolls are small compared to most places, decent.
As far as the Chinese side menu. You cannot go wrong with what you pick. Thus far i’ve tried their egg drop soup, lo mein noodles, mongolian beef. Real Authentic Chinese cooking.
Service: friendly. fast. no complaints. everytime i come here the husband and wife are usually the ones who run the place taking order, cleaning tables, serving food, and cooking. very hard working.
A great first time experience here and I keep and will keep coming back.

First time trying it. It happened that my lunch brake was in Chula Vista. Drove by a small shopping center hoping to find a good place to eat; sure I got super lucky. I was amazed by the quality and the quantity of the food. Dragon house fried rice is a must have.

This place is absolutely awesome, I can’t say enough good things about it. Food is the best I’ve had! They are super friendly and are very prompt! The vermicelli and phở are the best! Thanks guys, keep up the good work!

Thanks Unilocal for the recommendations, the appearance of this place doesn’t look very appealing but OMG the food is really hot and cooked to order, Very Fresh! The cream cheese wontons were the best I’ve had and I’ve been to my share of places. The hot & sweet sauce they gave me for the wontons was so good and tasty, wish I knew how to make it. The Vietnamese Po’boy meat was so tender and super tasty. I also had the chicken and egg roll vermicelli and it was so good, their jalapeños were so spicy, I brought them home with me! So spicy and loving every second of it I recommend this place for anyone that loves Vietnamese and Chinese food, can’t wait to come back to try more off the menu.

So I had gone with my boyfriend once before and everything was fantastic, we ordered the Tai Phở I believe it’s called and it was bomb, we love phở!
We went a few days ago because I was really hungry and we ordered the same thing but as I was enjoying it I found a mosquito in my phở bowl… –_​– I am extremely grossed out by any kind of bugs so I freaked out a little;; the lady was kind though and she replaced my bowl with another, but I couldn’t eat it in peace anymore cause the bug from the other bowl lingered in my mind :/​
hope it doesn’t happen to anyone;; but yeah, I probably won’t go back haha.
