Ugh worst service. Ordered my dinner an hour ago and nothing. I’d offer my Neal discounted or free. Kind of a joke.

The service here if slow. Restaurant was less than halfway full. When I was seated the 3 waiters/waitresses working at the time passed by me several times. No one asked me if I wanted anything to drink or if I was ready to order for at least 10 minutes. The lady who was seated after me was served right away. So I asked the manager who my server was. After waiting another couple of minutes my waitress finally showed up. After I ordered it was only about 2 minutes that my Crunch rolls showed up. At least the sushi chefs are fast. Shortly after the bento box came. Close to the end of my meal the manager apologized for the service and blamed it on the waiters not knowing what tables they were assigned to. People really need to learn to pay attention to their customers. As a manager and waiter you need to know how to anticipate your customers needs. They are clearly lacking that here. This has not been the first time the service was extremely slow when I have come here with family or friends.

Horrible service. Waiters are rude and it’s expensive for what you get. NEVERAGAIN!!!

Was not great. It was empty at dinner time. That should have hinted why. Main reason I gave it low stars it does not give the best bank for your buck.

It’s rare that I can’t finish my food, lunch special 2 items, not impressed at all. Sashimi I will say was pretty fresh, but cut really large and was not serviced with rice. Salad not good at all, wilted. Chicken sesame deep fried, served dry… not good maybe time to change the oil? I don’t know but was not a fan. Service was ok.

The sushi here is serviceable and comparable to what you may find at a food court or whole foods, except full table service, a large menu of rolls and cooked items, and happy hour from 3 – 6 or 9-close. First impression, the place is huge for a Japanese restaurant and outdoor seating with heat lamps. Second impression, the floor needs to be sweep and my table is a bit sticky. The dirty floor and sticky table was a red flag to me, so I did not order any raw fish. Although my husband did and he said«not the best fish quality, but ok for the price». When the food arrived the presentation could definitely use some work. Cheap plastic plates and bowls covered our table, but service was attentive and efficient. I ordered the bento combo and selected the sea bass and chicken teriyaki and it came with miso soup, a scope of rice(option for white or brown) and a salad. We also ordered the assorted veggie tempura. The sea bass was only a small and thin portion but tasty. The chicken was tender and had a slight char. The salad for some reason too bitter. The tempura was good — nicely battered and good crunch. Niko would have a wider appeal if it can step up its ambiance and plating. But a pitcher of Sapporo or Asahi for only $ 7 during happy hour really caught my eye.

We decided to come here since Kamon was closed. We already knew it wasn’t going to be great sushi, so it was pretty much what we expected. Sashimi was cut irregularly large. The crab cake appetizer was still frozen in the middle, and the servers were huddled in a little corner talking to themselves most of the time.

I’d give another half star if able. Jay and Sam are cool cats and are great sushi dudes. Get the oysters too.

Came here for lunch and this it the second time I come here, ever. It’s an average sushi spot. A little on the small side. I can’t say I have tried a whole lot of the rolls but what I have tried was not that great. The number one thing I take away from this place is its definitely overpriced! Spent more than double what I would have spent elsewhere. Don’t know if I’ll be back just because of that

I got a teriyaki chicken plate to go at 8:40pm, I get home and find a hair in my food. I call them to tell them about it and they say oh sorry call back tomorrow at 11am when a manager is in. Wow! I come here often so I’m disappointed. If I could eat it, the food is usually good haha –update they corrected the problem and the manager was very apologetic. Thank you

This is your average Americanized sushi restaurant. The sashimi here is good and fresh, and I give it props for the presentation but the service is so slow and disorganized and the food quality seems subpar. Here’s what we got: 1) Tuna and Salmon Sashimi — Pretty good quality and fresh. This was probably the best part, the only good part, of the meal 2) Spicy Tuna with Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box — The tuna was so depressingly soggy, and the teriyaki was dry, along with the rice. It was only an «okay» meal but I am definitely surprised it came on a plate instead of a small box 3) Spider roll — Where were the crab legs sticking out? And where was the crab? I barely tasted anything or noticed it even resembled soft-shell crab! 4) Hungry roll — Meh, didn’t taste much. Hungry or not, not coming back. The employees forgot an order and claimed it must have been delivered to the wrong table. Such a small restaurant, how could they mess that up? When 20 minutes passed by, our first waitress had long disappeared, so we found a different waitress to help pack this forgotten order to go for us, and to get the check since had already taken so long. 10 minutes later, we had to repeat the request to ANOTHER waitress. I should have expected this kind of work ethic from employees at a not-so-authentic restaurant. Here, you cannot expect them to do the job, even if you clearly request it, so you have to keep nagging them. I wonder if their bosses know about their attitudes. For sushi, DONOT go to a place where there’s no Asians dining or working there. Seems mean but it’s true! The ones you do see here probably just don’t know there are way better options out here.

Meh. I believe this is a chain, bc I’ve been to the Niko Niko over in Burbank. The rolls here taste fine, but I think the prices are WAY too high for this area. I think $ 15 – 16 for a special roll is a bit unreasonable in the Hacienda/Rowland Heights community. I recommend the albacore roll with friend onions on top. EDIT: I meant to say«fried» onions. But«friend» onions sounds cool too… :)

5 stars for our sushi chef Richie. My first time coming to Niko Niko and my experience was great because of him. I didn’t know what rolls to order so he asked what fish I prefer– salmon, tuna, yellow tail, etc. then he’ll ask if I like cream cheese or other flavors. And base a roll off my preference! 4 stars for service from our waiter though. I would assume they would automatically refill our cups of water if it was empty. 3 stars for the food/menu. Only selected amount or rolls including happy hour options. And the price of each roll was moderately high for the quality.

A friend of mine works here, used to come by, get some standard rolls(California, spicy tuna, crunch, etc.) Then I started mixing it up and grabbing some hand rolls, friend recommended the Red Dragon roll, so BOMB. Their bentos are the shiz and they’ve got some sake and soju cocktails too.

Like all other sushi houses, ambiance is nice and to par. Indoor has an isolated corner for big parties and a nice outdoor eating patio. Lights dimmed a bit. Service is great but then there were only 3 parties at this odd hour we ate at. They were nice enough to allow me to order from kids meal since i wasn’t extremely hungry yet. Food: It’s ok. Nothing great to rave about. Very generic. Some items not too authentic and reminds me of food i can whip up at home. My friend ordered a combo with salad, tempura, and spicy tuna rolls. Again, very generic. Her tuna rolls taste like something pre-made and grab n go from a store. I ordered the kids udon which to some its ok but it was barely ok to me. The fried tofu taste like the ones i buy at the supermarket where i just cut up and throw them in. Literally. Only thing was the soup isn’t too salty like other places but then again its because it also tasted like it was watered down down due to lack of flavor. They did however provide free edamame to snack on when you first sit down which was nice. Price: Trying to make it look a bit fancier shouldn’t mean its ok to charge more. I go by ambiance and quality of food. If the food taste like something i can make at home or something i can buy at the supermarket, why would i pay a premium to eat it here? Its not extremely costly but for the ok kind of food… not too interested to go back.

This has to be my quickest review. This niko niko is located next to chipotle by the Puente Hills mall. Let me tell you this has to be the worst run establishment that I have ever been to. The staff, service, and food had to be the worst in the industry. Let’s get started with the staff and service. Extremely unprofessional and loud. They seat us right away because it’s empty then take our drink order. 10 mins later, still no water. She forgot… We probably see our waitress Dana 3 times that night. She brings us our food and we remind her about the water. 10 mins pass we get our water. As we finish our horrible meal… keep in mind there are no refills even when she walks by my empty cup 3x. She asks us if we need anything else. At this point I’m fed up, I said just the box and check. She brings me the check, I pay and she just drops it on the table and leaves. I pay she takes it and drops it again on the table. This is seriously a server? Do not come here. F!!! The food. I ordered the beef Teppanyaki. I must’ve got 5 pieces of meat in there. And what I got was jerky status. The spicy lobster roll just was too disgusting to describe. Horrible experience.

*2=5 stars I’ve been here 3 times. I not a fan. Usually stop in with friends durimg lunch. Service has never been too good here. The food itself is popular with my friends. If you come to eat here during lunch you don’t have to worry about long waits, it’s not crowded.

Food: Bento Box: Chicken teriyaki, 4 piece Crunch roll, 4 piece Gyoza, miso soup, salad, and rice. This bento box probably could have fed 2 people. — Chicken teriyaki: mild flavor and a little overcooked. 3⁄5 — Crunch roll: crabmeat, cucumber, avocado, and shrimp tempura topped with crispies and sauce. The roll was good. 4⁄5 — Gyoza: deep fried potstickers. The potstickers were good but the sauce was really oily. 3⁄5 — Miso soup: mediocre. 3⁄5 Service: Fast and friendly. 3⁄5 Final thoughts: This place was okay. For sure it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. I give it 3.5 stars.

The last time I came here, everything was great, so I eagerly brought my family to share my new find. They placed us in the side room… Which means out of sight … Our of mind. The waitress completely forgot about us. We had to get up and get our own utensils, napkins, and seek out the bill. Once we received the bill, imagine our surprise when she added in her own generous and undeserving tip. The food was delicious… Just don’t get placed in that room :-/
