Love this spot. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years. Same cook and same cashier. They always treat you right. The food is great. I always order the number one«teriyaki chicken plate». If your in the mall with an appetite, stop by and get a free sample of the teriyaki chicken…

I love it here, the chicken plate with the rice, noodles and veggies is the best. I’m glad this place lasted this long and i hope it continues to stay open. This is the best place to eat at the food court.

I think this place is actually pretty good. I got the chicken bowl and it was quite tasty. I do think they put a little too much sauce for my taste. The people were really nice though. They were one of the few places still open because on Saturdays the mall actually closes an hour early.

The Good: Fully stocked menu with your typical selections for this type of mall establishment. The Bad: The food. Lol man the chicken was dry so you had to load up on that high sodium«teriyaki» sauce that didn’t taste like any teriyaki sauce I had ever eaten. The beef was tough. Flavorless as well. The Ugly: Your face when you try to imagine how long that meat has been sitting there in the heat lamps. The Summary: Avoid unless you’re starving.

I’ve only had Udon noodles(#11) from here, I’ve had it about three times and the 2⁄3 times i’ve had it, it gave me the runs. I seriously will NEVER get it again. Hot soup base-yes. But the noodles and the soup base tastes super packaged, not freshly made. And what I mean by that is, It tastes like instant udon noodles you buy from Costco – the only difference is that one half egg they add. The only reason why I gave them an a-ok rating is because I haven’t tried their other dishes and some people have told me their rice plate is much better, so I oughta’ try that next time!

I ordered the Rainbow Roll. The fish was cut so thin that I could literally see right through it! You can definitely tell they were compromising quality to save money! On the upside it was prepared fresh. They only offer one soy sauce… that is way too salty! To sum it up… I payed way too much for what I got!

I’ve tried this restaurant twice and it’s pretty good. I love that they give you a big amount of food! I can never finish it. I always get the chicken and it’s pretty tasty. It’s not the best I’ve had, but it hits the spot when I’m hungry walking through the mall.

Food is good but service is bad. I ordered a number 1 and 3 people after me got their food before me.

I had to do it. I had to try the«best reviewed» place in the puente hills mall’s food court. So there it was, Tokyo Grill. I pondered for a few minutes, reading the menu and continually denying the clerk as she insisted on offering various items. A free sample of chicken or a prepared bento box, she asked. That’s not what I was looking for but moments later, I was ready. I tried to play it safe, in my mind. I ordered the Philadelphia/Tuna roll thinking, the less mystery fish, mixed with more commonly accepted cheese, the better, right? It was ok, I received salmon instead of tuna but it didn’t seem bad. Rice was too sticky, food is overpriced but they did make it while I was waiting. The next dish I ordered, a side dish known simply as «Tempura.» Seemed appropriated for the philosophy I have established of keeping it safe. The tempura smelled like chicken nugget batter. The first piece I grabbed to eat was a nice looking cut of fried zucchini, it was good. The carrot was ok too. What bothered me was the shrimp, see the pictures. An establishment that doesn’t clean their shrimp is not one worth my dime.

My friends and I in the 626⁄909 come here a lot because the food is great and it’s a great place to stop and grub after catching a movie. It’s not really like Panda Express as far as choices go but the teriyaki chicken is excellent. They know how to cook up some mean ass chicken. It’s pretty awesome that they don’t use MSG in their food also. That stuff will kill you dead. I’m a noodle person and the noodles are exceptional. The fried rice is good as well, it just depends on what you’re in the mood for. Let me just say that I’m not used to being handed free samples of the food up front before I actually order but it sure does make my decisions easier since I’m sure everyone knows what it’s like to be indecisive coming into a new restaurant. This kind Korean lady with a red visor behind the counter hands me free samples of the delicious food to try every time I come here, but it ain’t just her, it’s all the staff there. So, 5 stars for the great food, the conveniency that it’s right above the movie theatre, the friendly staff working there, and the decent sized portions leaving me full each and every time. Tokyo grill… hell yeah!

As far as food court food goes, I really don’t have too much expectations. It’s convenient that the food court is located above AMC20 at the Puente Hills Mall. Pretty nice that you can grab a quick bite to eat before/after a movie I often go to AMC20 and Tokyo Grill has been a staple at this mall. The staff and manager/owner(Laura) was extremely friendly, even offering free samples of chicken. You hardly see that type of customer service or enthusiasm now-a-days. I usually get the chicken bowl, or sometimes the chicken/beef combo. The chicken is charbroiled and the teriyaki sauce is not overly sweet or neither bland. Just right. The vegetables are crunchy, not soggy and the rice/fried rice is cooked well. Alot of people on Unilocal talking about how food is unbearable in the food court. Let’s face it, it’s food from the food court! Its supposed to be fast and simple. If you wanted ‘exceptional’ food then go to an ‘exceptional’ restaurant. For what it is, food is good. Price is fair for the quantity, and customer service is attentive, speedy and above and beyond~! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I hate to see a place I frequent so much have such a low review. As far as food court food goes, this is a solid place to me. it holds equal value and weight to the mongolian bbq right next to it so usually a toss up as to where I would go when I come here. I would recommend sticking to the choices that include grilled chicken and grilled steak. the rice and noodles while nothing special comes a bit more alive when you pair it with the teriyaki sauce from the grilled meats. I honestly think the sauce is what makes the dish truly work. The side vegetables feel a little overcooked and flavorless, but I guess I would prefer that than soaking with unhealthy sauces. That aside… im not sure I would recommend anything else from this place. Although not bad, the other items do not stand out as much and I have always come back to this place only for the grilled chicken and/or beef plates.

Went to eat at Tokyo Grill while xmas shopping and this is the worst place to eat. The food is not fresh and the sushi rolls are pre-made. About a half hour later I was sick as a dog. Dont waste your time eating here — I’d rather starve!
