Pretty great place to eat! I was traveling through Clinton, and decided to stop for a bite to eat. The food is pretty solid with a lot of choice. Seems like a lot«locals» come here.

Average breakfast but with Shoreline inflated prices. Very entertaining décor of pink flamingo and musical clocks that create quite a noise every hour. Meet«locals» at the counter.(New Yorkers with little vacation homes)

If you’re looking for a good sit down breakfast place in Clinton, this is the place to go. The staff is friendly, and they have excellent omelettes and nice fluffy pancakes. They also have a kid’s menu, and the prices are reasonable. Just make sure to bring cash, since they don’t take credit cards. I’m not sure if I understand the owner’s obsession with flamingos, but my daughter thought that it was cool.

Got waited right away, and may I add, the coffee was fantastic. The whole experience was outstanding. Cute little old-times dinner/breakfast joint. Oh the corned beef hash was to-die-for!!! I am coming back, no doubt.

Food was outstanding but staff is not too attentive in filling coffee cups or clearing dishes. Four different staff members passed up our dirty plates until I left 20 minutes later and we were sitting at the counter during a slow time.

Loved this place! Went twice during my short stay. Liked it better the first time when they made My breakfast sandwich omelet style … Second time egg was scrambled with slice of cheese not melted. Husband has the waffle and egg special which was delicious. Very reasonable and wait staff very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

The flamingos are adorable, but the atmosphere seems a little run down, and the staff isn’t the friendliest. The food was pretty good. Great for breakfast, parking in the back.

I was camping nearby, and we headed to The Coffee Break for breakfast. With four stars on average, we had high hopes. We waited 30 minutes for french toast and over easy eggs. I don’t really mind waiting, except if the actual food itself doesn’t really offer anything to get excited about. I had scrambled eggs with my french toast, and the portions were really small. The place itself looks great, and it certainly had potential, but it was an epic letdown when it comes to eating a hearty breakfast that would prepare you for a long day at the beach. Even the bacon seemed to be thin sliced. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re starving, or hope to have a nice base before heading on an adventure in the area.

We stopped here on our way to our family vacation in RI. It is an old school, East Coast diner-like environment with simple food prepared very well. We had two kids with us and there were plenty of choices for them, as well as the adults. The fruit side was beautiful! I highly recommend a stop at the Coffee Break! Amy B. I very much enjoyed my visit here, the food was delicious and the prices were decent. I wish I lived closer to the shore as I would frequent this restaurant quite often. The service was quick our waitress always kept checking on us to see if we needed anything.

Great little spot right on Boston Post Road in Clinton. Serve breakfast and lunch. excellent prices Plus generous portions of food. Staff is very friendly, helpful and eager to please. There’s parking on Boston Post Road and parking lot in the back so you can enter through the front or the back. The décor is simple has some wood /wainscoting dark brown carpet pictures on the walls is you almost at country kitchen type feel. if you want to be in n out its a place to go and if you want to enjoy your breakfast sit and chat they won’t rush you out. Definitely a staple for us since it right around the corner and a reliable place where the food never disappoints

It’s aiight. Decent Reuben. Friend asked for an over-easy egg, rare burger, and got an over-hard egg, well done burger, but it looked decent enough.

We searched Unilocal for good breakfast in Branford where we were staying, and this place had great reviews. I was expecting really good grub, based on the enthusiastic reviews, but I wasn’t expecting house-made corned beef hash or the best Reuben I have had in years. Great flavor all around, including waffles, eggs, french fries, and sausage patties with fennel seeds in them, all at a decent price. It was the weekend before Halloween, and everyone was dressed up! So fun. Would definitely return.

Very good. From the street outside, it looks like a tiny little hole in the wall that would have two tables and stale donuts. There is tons of parking around back, and you can enter from rear. Both times I went there were a lot of people there, which is a god sign. Inside, the place is big. You get served by a mom brigade of waitresses. The food is inexpensive and good.

Great food, friendly staff, I’m a regular. Myself and a small group of friends come to the break every Sunday morning for the Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise, Fresh Fruit, Bacon and Corn Bread. Greatest thing about The Coffee Break? They know us very well now, by name. I’ll walk in, am greeted and almost immediately seated at a table for 4 even if it’s just me at first. Coffee and a Water are standard and they know us so well, sometimes we dont even have to say anything to order. To top it off, they know to split the check however many ways we need! Talk about great service here, some of the friendliest people that I’ve ever encountered at an eating establishment. It really is hard to say too much bad about this place. I’ll come here until I physically cannot any longer!

Cheap cheap cheap. What else can I say. Ma and Pa place with your traditional standard American breakfast. Had the turkey Ruben sandwich which was really greasy but I didn’t expect anything different. The fruit platter thought was awesome and came with a significant quantity of fresh fruit for the price. Coffee was standard, nothing special but definitely drinkable. Overall, I look for a breakfast place that has house specials that are a creation of not only the mind but belly I.e. cinnamon croissant French toast with fresh berries and homemade blueberry fresh cream or maple bacon pancakes with a side of red potato home fries. If your looking for that, this is not the place, but if your looking for standard grub hit this place up as the price will never let you down.
