Sonic Drive-in

When the car hop came to my car she asked me for my card because she didn’t think it went through. But while she was saying that she passed me my ice cream that was leaking. I asked her for napkins and a bag because they were out of cup carriers. She went back to get my bag and napkins. I showed her my bank app that says my order was processed, but she apologized and said that someone didn’t clear out something inside, but it was paid. I drove home and realized I didn’t get my drink and the Oreo blast was without the Reece’s I ordered. I drove back to drive thru and Chris helped me. I was there at about 1028pm. I asked to have my hot dog, burger, and blast remade fresh and get my drink. He said they were out of jalapenos so my original spicy dog I ordered wouldn’t have them on it anyway. (Why let people order them when they are out and know some orders would be missing toppings? The cook would know if they are out, they don’t let the customer know, they just sent out the food) He had everything remade (new type of hot dog now) and even put in the tater tots again. I told him I ate them he didn’t need to remake but he said it was okay. Chris was nice to get things replaced for me. But what pissed me off was that a carhop is standing there on her cell phone waiting for orders to take out! That’s unsanitary. I don’t know if she puts her hands on food or expediting food or making ice cream or drinks (sometimes they do, I used to work for Sonic) but cell phones are dirtier than a toilet seat. That’s a fact and a BIG NO NO. Especially on the clock. I have uploaded pictures for this location that shows it. Some how this location always seems to have problems with missing items or incorrect food ever since the new management re-​opened it. I have limited my visits in a year because of it and EVERY TIME (no joke) there is something wrong. This place has let me down.

Bring your lovely friend patience or stay home until you can. I was upset because I was in a hurry!!! Don’t do that to yourself.
However, when the food finally arrived… it was fresh my friends. I had some hot just fried chicken strips. Huh, so that’s how hot and yummy they are suppose to be. You have to wait for it to be made fresh just for you. I will come again when I am not in a rush to get anywhere. Everyone in the car was happy with the food but not with the slow service. If I could have both that would be awesome but if I had to choose only one. I prefer fresh food over speed.

Want to know what sucks! Sitting in the drive thru for 20+ minute at Sonic waiting for milkshakes (celebrating the first day of spring) only to get to the window, have the idiot go to hand me the 1^st shake (never mind I ordered 5 and need a drink carrier) which promptly slides out of his hand and across my steering wheel, console and dash! Slid out of his hand because it was sloppy and running with ice cream down the sides. Then he proceeds to just stare at me!!! Give me some freaking napkins at least! He then walks away and about 5 minutes later some chick comes to the window to tell me the ice cream machine just broke! You have got to be kidding me!!! So now I home with sad kids and no milk shakes!!!

It doesn’t get any better than this.

First of all this place is not closed. I’ve been here twice and they’ve messed up my order both times. Always double check your order and check your milkshake before leaving the place to make sure it’s a milkshake and not something else, like a blend of milk and room temp water. The second time they did my order wrong they did make it up by Giving me a larger shake withiut the extra cost.

So glad they reopened!!! I love sonic… especially during the summer. Slushes totally compliment the heat! Just watch out for the brain freeze!
Since they have opened service was iffy… sometimes a long wait or incorrect order, or we order at the drive through and get to the window and they have no bananas for banana split… But today, the day I finally figured out how to also leave a review… Service was fast and friendly, slush was a perfect combo of sugary syrup, ice, and fruit (lemon berry). My mozzarella sticks were yummy too. Prices aren’t bad either.

Waited 30 mins for a smooshed piece of crap they call burger. Never will I ever come back. Oh and the customer service stinks!

I love Sonic the food is always good, but the customer service at this particular one is severely lacking.

Good food. Great desserts! Customer service sux and half the time they get their orders wrong, just check your order before you leave!

I have to agree with Zakk — their tater tots are nothing to write home about. Nothing. I tried them once and found them to be little more than cold, gelatinous balls of fat. They weren’t even salty. Y-​u-​c-​k.
But, and this is a fairly big but (homonym pun intended), their shakes really are good. The malt chocolate shake especially. That bugger is truly a creamy slice of heaven.
I had a similar experience to Janet’s vis-​a-​vis ordering, only with me it was drive-​in part of the business where I didn’t get any service. I parked, placed my order at the speaker, inquired about my order after about 10 minutes of waiting and watching car after car get their food and drive off, and gave up after about 20 minutes of waiting.

Everyone talks about Sonic drive through like its the holy grail of drive-​up window burgers.
Its not.
Everyone talks about the at car service with waitresses in roller skates.
They don’t.
Everyone talks about how great the tots and onion rings are.
They aren’t.
In fact, the only thing that was good was the Sonic Blast. That’s it. Burger was mediocre at best, the onion ring batter was sick and disgusting. Tots were deep fried to hell.
Yuck.
Crossed this one off the list of places to try and added it to the places to not try again.

Here’s another place I went to and didn’t get any food. Sure, I can see that it’s a drive-​in, so most people stay in their cars and have their food delivered to them. Well the weather was lovely, so my family and I decided to walk up, order and sit at their outside table. We pushed the button to order again, and again, and again. The girls inside must have seen us pushing that button again, and again, and again. I can take a hint, sit in your car or no food for you! Who needs to deal with a drive-​in nazi?! So off I go to Sbarro for a $ 13 lunch. .. that’s another story.
