I stopped in Saturday night about 8. This was my first time trying DiBella’s. It was slow and the people did not seem interested in being there. I ordered a tuna sandwich, it was put together with minimal ingredients in a haphazard way and I was off. When I got home I found the bread rather stale and hard to eat. I tried putting it in the microwave to soften it up. I would not go again or suggest it to others? Lots of other places to go.

The sandwiches themselves weren’t assembled in a balanced way, toppings wise. The meat was blobbed together. So getting a bite of everything wasn’t really possible. Unless, you have a flip-top head like the Reach toothbrush guy. On the flip positive, the bread options are a surely a big plus. Thumbs up for the everything bread. However, whole sandwich wise, Potbelly serves an overall better sandwich.

I really like this place. I’ve only ever ordered the Cheesesteak but it’s really good and my go to when I’m hankering for one. What makes it so good is the roll. I get the Everything style(think bagel style) topped with mozzarella, mayo and LTO. They even offer to cook mushrooms, green peppers and onions on the grill while prepping the steak. It’s not too greasy and the ingredients seem very fresh. It’s never very busy at this location but as I do, I think most people take out. You can get a drink, chips or cookie deal and they offer premade cups of pasta and potato salad. They also have the huge whole pickles too! I bet their cold cut sandwiches are killer too – that roll wins! I’ll have to try one.

I went in around 1:00 and the line was moving quick — the order taker was professional, polite and efficient. As I moved down to the cashier things seemed to be moving a little slower… The cashier was taking everyone’s money who had already ordered through a process of asking«what did you have?» then not giving a receipt. I could’ve ordered 4 subs and told the cashier I had 1 kids meal — thank goodness I am an honest person. So after that then all the paid customers were just standing around waiting… and waiting… and waiting. I heard one person say they had been waiting for 30 minutes. I peeked over the counter and there were about 8 subs bagged and ready to be delivered just sitting there… The gal who looked to be the caboose delivery person(Keya) was not in any rush at all and acted like she wishes she could’ve been anywhere but there. Overall, the taste of my grilled Buckeye Sub was good — although it was obvious that it was quickly thrown together and was not warm. I may return if my time allows it. This trip I was on my lunch break — which I wasted inside waiting for 25 minutes.

My favorite sub in Columbus! The cheesesteak is great and the bread is the best. The sandwiches are HUGE and reasonably priced. My only issue was the person that was making sandwiches was chomping gum with her mouth open the whole time. Very unprofessional and gross. You shouldn’t be chomping gum when waiting on customers and especially when you’re making the food.

This is my first and last visit. The prices are overinflated for the amount of meat on your sub. 2 of the 4 subs ordered were not made as ordered. They did quickly correct the error. The fact that 4 medium subs with drinks and chips was $ 44 is crazy. This is the least favorite sub I have ever had and the 3 teenagers with me agree… the only redeeming quality was the bread was fresh, but the rest not so tasty.

The sandwiches are so good and for like 4 bucks more than subway, i am not sure what people are looking for. Best chain sandwich you can get.

Really liked dibella’s subs. However, i made it into the store at 5:01pm on new year’s eve only to be turned away at the counter! They closed at 5 pm :-/

I hadn’t been to DiBella’s in a long while, because the past few times I’d eaten there, I wasn’t really impressed. Having said that, I was expecting to come out of this with a lower review, but I really enjoyed my meal there yesterday. I ended up going with The Godfather, which is their Italian, with Everything bread that they make themselves. The meat was decent, but the bread really makes the sandwich. I think the last few times I’ve gone, I’ve had one of their sandwiches with chicken, and their chicken just does not do much for me. The place was pretty empty, so we got our food quickly, and the pricing is pretty cheap too for the size and quality of food you’re getting for a sub shop. I’ve definitely reassessed my sandwich options over the past month and found it’s worth giving a bunch of places around me another shot. I’ll be back here soon, especially with the Winter setting in, and it being so close to my house.

Yum! Looking for a sub with fresh ingredients? This is the place! 3 choices of bread and many toppings with excellent quality meats.

Delicious! The everything bread is similar to a bagel in a submarine form. Who doesn’t love bagels?!

I’ve wanted to visit this place for sometime, frantic like a junkie in a H-dry town, trying to find a replacement for Quiznos’ Chicken and Bacon, Honey Mustard Sub; I have had an enduring cravings for that since Q packed up and left under the cover of night a few years ago. And because I like the façade of DiBella’s building, which always catches my eyes riding up Olentangy River Road, I decided to try it. They didn’t have a Honey Chicken offering which was a bummer. But this is my mistake. They do have a ‘build your own sub’ option that I didn’t notice until after I ordered – I’ll certainly will return to see if that will still my withdraw symptom.(although a quick glance of their menu shows that chicken is not a selection. I will have to see what choppy charm, mad manipulation, or pitiful pleading by me will get them to do it.) Instead, I selected a corned beef sub on whole grain wheat. The subs here come in three sizes, the medium is 10-inches long. I found the meal to be a bit pricey, $ 11 for a medium corned beef, a bag of chips, fountain drink and a cookie. The sub was tasteful but not Facebook post great. The bread was the real deal, and the vegetables and condiments– lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, peppers, mayo were really fresh and high quality. The corned beef was average. DiBella’s calls their servings ‘old fashioned’ and so their interior theme is the 1920−30s. I can’t say if in fact the sandwiches are in the style of that era, they seem pretty standard for 2014 to me. The inside has comfortable booth, is spotless, and roomy. You have all the 1930s soda shop cliches: black squared ceilings, terrazzo flooring, chrome framed booths, bathrooms designated for Gents and Gals. Curiously, they continue the theme to music, anachronistically playing ‘40s big band, with selections of 1920 jazz; a strange thing to do under the shadows of Ohio State. Final conclusion: the place is a bit to pricy for an everyday lunch spot but yet not good enough for special treat trip. Although I will be back to try to con them into making a chicken-bacon thing, I will update if it is fireworks.

Just what Grandview needs, another da*n sub shop. That’s what I thought. But I was in a hurry and wanted to grab a quick bite and popped into DiBella’s. I was DiWrong for thinking that and DiLighted to eat here. I got the Godfather grilled on an Everything bun that was fresh and perfectly crusted. The oil dressing and peppers on the sub were spot on. Bonus: you get to pick your own toppings. They have big deli pickles for sale, which feeds into my «anything and everything pickled» fetish. And other sides are available like tater salad and mac salad. I give DiBella’s two subs up!

I’ll preface by saying that I may just not be an overwhelming fan of DiBella’s to begin with but the service this go around at this location was not great. I ordered the Chicken Philly on an «Everything» seasoned roll. It was OK enough but a little bland for my tastes needing some salt or some spices IMO. I think I ordered wrong though so that’s on me. I should’ve got what Sal C. had… I’m sure I would’ve loved it. I do really like Grandma DiBella’s cookies though… the oatmeal are pretty solid and the chocolate chip are religious. The reason for the 2.5 stars was the service. It looked like there may have been three employees working, one of which was in the dining room on his phone on break, I’m guessing. The other two I had any contact with didn’t seem to care that I was there, as if I was an inconvenience, but made my food and shuffled me off ASAP. They didn’t ask if I was dining in but gave me a table number even though I was taking my food with me. The gentlemen who«helped» me bolted through my topping options in a jumble of words and then made my order. I would’ve asked him to repeat what he had said but he seemed annoyed that I was there. When I went to pay no one was interested in ringing me up. Honestly, I could’ve just walked out the door with my food since it didn’t seem like they wanted to take my money. I don’t think this was a freak occurrence. The store by my house was friendlier but the order-to cook-to pay process seemed disjointed there too. Anyway, it may have been an off day for the staff… I’ve had them too. The food was pretty decent and made well but not sure I’d come back.

First time here so I got the cheesesteak and wasn’t disappointed. The bread was excellent and the sub was really filling. Plan on coming back here whenever I’m in Columbus.

I went by when they first opened, and it was a confusing ordeal. They got my order wrong, but I didnt write a review because i dint think it would be fair due to their growing pains. Well, I went in today for the 2nd time, and it was really good. They dont offer an «Italian» sub per se, but you can build your own, which is what I did. You can get it cold or grilled and in 3 sizes, small, medium, and large. I got a medium which was about 10″ long. You also get your choice of like 5 different rolls/buns, 3 meats, one cheese, and your choice of toppings. I got ham, salami, Capicola with provolone and mozzarella(extra cheese for $ 1.25). I topped it with tomato, lettuce, onion, yellow peppers, vinegar & oil, and oregano. It was superb! The only thing I didnt like about it, was how it was constructed. I didnt see how they built the sandwich, but all the toppings are on one side, and the meat/cheese was on the other. It was strange… I had to take two small bits from each side to get a nice mix. They offer a «combo» meal which include a drink and a side. Sides included, chips, potato salad, macaroni salad or even a cookie. I found the pricing to be a little high… my medium combo(minus the extra cheese) was $ 10.59 +applicable tax, but, it was a good sandwich… Id go back again.

Close, but no 4th star Of all the sub sandwich places in my area I would say di bella’s is the best. I like their bread, I like their cold subs and a few of the hot ones. However it does not have anything that really wows me to the point that I desire their food any given day.

It’s an ok sandwich, but it didn’t blow me away. What got to me here was the service and process. It’s stupid. It’s like they want to be subway, but instead of telling someone what you want as they build it, you tell some guy who writes it down on paper and hands it off. I was rather perturbed that two people that ordered(cold) subs after me, both got their subs before me(also a cold one), so I’m not sure who was dealing the cards, but they messed up. Food quality good, balanced by poor service.
