Shame that the service doesn’t match the sandwich. Note to owner– you might tell your employee to wait on the customer instead continuing to clean equipment and not acknowledging their existence. I realize removing those rubber gloves is a laborious task!

If I could give the manager Chris Gissenger(according to the name on the printed receipt) zero stars I would. Had 5 folks in my order and when it was my turn to order I asked if the had hot peppers and to get them on the side. The cashier kindly asked the manager(Chris) This manager rolls his eyes and tells the cashier its against policy to wrap them on the side. Now I am a regular at JJ all over the country, never been give such poor service and bad attitude. So I told him to reverse the charge and cancel the order. We then drove a mile down the road and got great service at the other Jimmy Johns. Wake up Mr. Manager Chris Gissenger customers can get what they want they just go to another store!

This location is kind of difficult to find if you’re not familiar with the area; it is near the shopping center on the south side of 5th where the liquor store used to be and next to Burger King. I asked for a substitution on one of their specialty subs, and while they seemed confused on why I wanted to switch out salami for ham, they obliged and made the change for no extra charge, which I appreciated. They also move pretty quickly, so I would guess that even during the lunch rush, you could be in and out within a few minutes.

Bread is always hard on the ends. Not fresh. If you ask for extra condiments like mayo, they never add it. They never put napkins in the bag.

Ordered delivery twice this week because it’s so cold and I didn’t want to go outside. They get here super fast, my order is perfect with no mistakes, and they don’t forget to bring a straw with my drink!

No stars. This place blows. Walked in and asked to taste the tuna salad. I got a look like I asked for a left nut. Was told by dumb that I «could look at it». I said how would I know I liked it. Was told again I could look at it… Dumb and dumber were there and had the music on BLAST. I asked for the Vito and got a bun with lettuce and 4 thinly sliced pieces of salami. No extra onions. Dumber then put on oil and vinegar with a eye dropper. Both sandwiches purchased were«the worst jimmy johns we ever had». If you want to throw your money away, help the homeless. It will be better spent.

They are great about changing their gloves and putting down clean paper if you ask. I can’t eat the mayo because of soy bean oil, but it’s oh so tasty. Great staff, so friendly. I have never had a problem with cross contamination gluten wise. They recognize us as regulars and understand my sensitivities. Plus, sprouts are back!

So a few of us at the office ordered lunch and had it delivered. When I asked for the prices because I had an older order form, the young man said their prices were just increased today. As much as I enjoy their sandwiches, $ 7.50 plus an extra dollar per sandwich for delivery is just not worth it.

Just your basic Jimmy Johns. Subs, chips, pickles, cookies, standard JJ’s menu. I always go for tuna with hot peppers. Speedy service — not overly enthusiastic, but speedy. Super easy parking.

We order food to be delivered from here a lot where I work. They’re accurate most of the time, it’s tasty, and they’re usually there with the order by the time we get the money collected. They have a better record for accuracy than most of the local delivery places, and the few times the order has been wrong they’ve gone over and above to correct the issue.

Am I insane? Is repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results insanity? Maybe. But without a doubt, this Jimmy John’s sucks. I have ordered lunch from them too many times now for their crappy service, slow delivery and general disdain for putting together a sandwich to be a fluke. Would you like a coke with that? Nope. I’ve ordered a soda with 3 orders and never received one. The driver: «uhhh, well, here’s $ 2 bucks…». I haven’t died after eating their food. So there’s that.

I’m stuck with this Jimmy John’s for my delivery area, and of course they close at 11:00PM — the two other locations that are only a couple of minutes away are open til 3:30AM, so right away I’m down on this location. Just ordered a sub a few days ago for delivery around 9PM, and what was delivered was a greasy, sloppy mess — even for JJ standards. Not a huge fan of this location for the weak hours and food quality…

First off… Hey Jimmy have you thought of maybe posting your hours somewhere? Like your building? I think it has been 3 times now where I was disappointed and saw lights on, cars parked out front and I turned around to get myself some Jimmys and they were closed. Now the campus one I have never been let down, just this 5th ave. one. Besides that I really enjoy this place, I like especially that they are one of those few«reasonably healthy» places you can go to if your up lat working. And it is a treat to walk in and smell the fresh baked bread smell, now by the end of the night it doesn’t seem like there is any of those smells anymore. Other than that you are a sub location that makes me happy! Thank you Jimmy!

I have been here a few times and its time for a review. Every visit to this place has been great. The food is prepared fast, its good, and its fresh. Their version of an Italian sub is a little different, but change is okay and in some cases good. At first the sub i thought was alright, as i am used to certain ingredients on Italians with a certain dressing. Jimmy Johns is different but good. I actually went back there numerous times, upon my own accord(the first visit i went with a friend). The staff is friendly, polite, and they actually worked with me while i was on a delivery job by opening a little earlier so a customer could eat! Exceptional service! Would definitely go back again!

I will have to admit, this was my first visit to any Jimmy John’s. And I will definitely go back. We stopped in to try JJ’s out and I was very pleased! The people behind the counter worked quickly and the food tasted very fresh. I am ready to go back — wonder if I can talk the hubby into going here tonight for dinner!!!(its too hot to cook at home!)

I came here for lunch today. It’s a small restaurant next door to a Chinese joint. That said though, they had a heck of a lot of people working. I had the Club Lulu. That’s got turkey, bacon, and lettuce, tomato, and mayo on one of their great homemade rolls. It wasn’t the best I’d ever had but it was pretty good!

I don’t know how they got CK’s and my sandwiches made so quickly but I think its a record. That being said, I think they trade some taste for the quickness because even though I had my sandwich in my hand before I even turned the corner for the drink machine, it wasn’t the greatest sandwich I’d ever had. But, it was good for a quick meal before heading on to something in my evening that was more important. It came at a good price and the staff was friendly. I’ve never had it delivered by CK says that they routinely order them at her office and even the table tent said they would deliver just one sandwich — no extra fee. That’s a pretty good deal! For a quick munch, I know where I’ll be heading from now on. If only there was one of these in between every client meeting!

I’m going to preface this by saying that I don’t eat at chain fast food restaurants very often, because usually I can get locally owned restaurant food of higher quality at the same price. Jimmy John’s is no exception to this. I’d never heard of Jimmy John’s before moving back to the midwest. I thought that maybe they were a local chain and I could get a tasty sub here on good bread. I was wrong on both counts. The sub roll is pretty meh. The whole grain bread is much better, and I do love the thick slices. I wouldn’t call either of them«fresh baked.» The avocado spread is bad. Like, it doesn’t even taste like avocados. The veggie sub is bland. I will say that the egg salad sandwich was solid, and in a pinch I would get it again. If I thought I’d ever come back, which I don’t.

I had to update my review and award Jimmy John’s on W. 5th Ave. 5 stars! They consistently produce perfect, fresh, fast sandwiches and deliver them to me in record time. They just make me so happy!

Been to one, been to all. So you should know what to expect if you’ve been before. As good as a sub gets in my opinion. I got the J. J Gargantuan with double genoa salami and double roast beef… mmmM!
