I have to say this place gets worse each time we go back. So why do we go back? Our daughter(13) likes it for some reason. But this last time was just too much. The dinning room looked like a day care center spent the day there. Food all over the floor, tables not cleared, and chairs not under tables. The«artwork» on the walls is littered with stains of food and dead bugs. With webs here and there. The buffet area was not any better. I tried to start with a salad. No salad plates. About 20% of the item containers were empty or not even there. The hot food area was worse. Food spilled on the floor, No one manning the carve station, empty food bins, no bowls for the soup or ice cream, dried out food, and items not marked properly. The food itself was bland and mostly cold. The baked chicken had more grease dripping out of it than the fried chicken. Fried fish had a sorta greenish/yellow ring around the inside of it. The bin for the taco shells was full of broken pieces, daughter couldn’t find 1 whole one. But they had plenty of Hot«Thick Cheese Sauce». I guess to cover everything in to give it some taste. I usually try not to be this harsh on places but for $ 40.00 for the 3 of us(and that’s with 2 of us drinking water!) I would expect better. Hell you can go to 90% of the places around there at Easton for $ 40.00 and eat great! I think this was the last straw, wont be returning any time in the near future.

Much better option than Golden Corral. Food is just as good, if not better, but it’s much cleaner and less busy too. Staff was awesome and very attentive.

Dirtiest restaurant I have ever stepped foot in. I will never return. Ants on window sills while eating. Old food on walls and ceiling above us.

We ate here 5÷2÷15 i”m giving this 3stars for a couple reasons. First for some reason even though they were busy they had an entire section closed. What tables were open were dirty. It also seemed that they were having a hard time keeping the food bins full. Also the ice in the pop machines were empty most of the time as was the silverware. The guy clearing our table Gregg did a great job so 5stars to him. I really wish they hadn’t closed the one by our house in Hilliard. It was much nicer. It will probably be quite a while before we go back.

Food is great. I’m leaving three stars be jade on Sunday at eleven am they switch to dinner all day. So me and the wife paid $ 30 for lunch here. Not worth it. Not cool at all. Food was all great though, so I have to give it that. Won’t be back though.

Got there waited in line and a lady motioned us over to a different register, but it didn’t work so she went back and a man came up to try to get it to work, he was struggling I asked if the other register could ring us out and his response was«No Wait». We did he finally got it to work. I paid we were let in almost every table was dirty we went all the way to the back finally found a table and a server came over and started yelling at us, yes thats right yelling at us. Saying we couldn’t sit there I asked, is it reserved? Wheres the sign? She just kept yelling at us we couldn’t sit there. Went up front to talk to the manager and lord and behold its our friend who wouldn’t allow us to ring out at another register he proceeded to argue with me, I“m still not sure why finally I asked for our money back he agreed he took his sweet time about getting it, I asked for the corp. number the number he provided was a fake I came home found the actual number which was nothing like what he gave me. Ya avoid this place its dirty and loud and its the only place in town that yells at the customer, but you better not raise your voice or they yell louder. Horrible horrible experience. I will be filing a claim with the board of health all those dirty table can’t be sanitary honestly they did us a favor.

Hate to say this but the chicken we had was so pink on the inside while the outside appeared done. Just no the same anymore. Very disappointed. Even the desserts were sad. The rest of the food was okay but I feel like I may not be going back. Should of just stayed home, cooked and saved my money.

I wish there was a rating lower than 1 star. Maybe a — 5. 3÷15÷15 @ 5PM Store #0777. Almost $ 31 for a couple. Place was trashed. Kids running wild. Food & Ice cream all over the floor. Out of plates and cups. Drank soft drinks out of coffee cups. One empty food tray after another. No pulled pork or sirloin as advertised. $ 31 for chicken and mac & cheese. I see why they are closing so many of these. Higher than Golden Corral, very sad selection, poor quality, worse than hog slop. Do everyone a favor CLOSETHEMALL!!!

Food was pretty good. Nothing exciting like advertised on TV. I was disappointed that there was not much labeled as to what foods were what. Some food was very bland. Undecided as to if we will go back maybe try breakfast sometime. The waitress did make sure our table was clean and she was very nice.

I will say the food was really good and they tried to keep the pans full of food. The taco bar was great! Great variety of food! The staff was really friendly however they were very slow to clean off tables for new families coming in to dine. Seems like they need more staff for busy days to stay on top of cleaning the tables and keeping the floor clean. We were walking on dropped food everywhere we were. I will say their food is must better than Golden Corral and Ryan’s!

Me and my mother went to this restaurant yesterday 8÷8÷2014 around 5 pm. When we arrived home after leaving hometown buffet, we were both fine until late at night we were both in the restroom throwing up. I was throwing up first and thought it was me, until I finished and than heard someone else vomiting which was my mother. Keep in mind that this was the only thing that we’ve ate all day, and when we were vomiting the food that came out was everything that we’ve ate at the hometown buffet. Either the employees are not washing their hands, the dishes aren’t clean well, or they’re not changing the spoons as often as they should, because I do understand that most costumers don’t wash their hands, but when running a restaurant where people serve them selves, you need to take the right precautions. I have never experienced anything like this in my life after eating at a all you can eat buffet.

Went here on a Friday for dinner. This restaurant is a hot mess. They advertised«steak, prime rib, and bbq ribs» tonight. Well, there was no steak, no prime rib, and the bbq ribs sucked. There were maybe 5 employees in the building, and it showed. It looked like a tornado had torn through the place! Food covered the floor, the handles of almost every serving spoon had some form of dressing/cheese/butter/sour cream on them. And I had to salvage every dish I wanted from the very bottom of empty warming trays. I heard 4 other customers complain when I was there about the lack of food available. There is no reason to visit when there are options like Schmidt’s available for the same price!

Typical American buffet the food was fine! The only thing I would say is what the heck is going on with the stupid tile floors! I watched a bunch of people literally slide across it and watch three guys almost fall! mentioned it to the waitress she said that when it gets humid outside that the floors get slick. It’s 60° outside it sure is not humid! if that is the case Hometown buffet needs to fix their floors as I’m writing this review a little kid just slid across eight tiles like he was ice skating. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Definitely not a negative review the food was definitely decent I’m just giving a heads up before they have a big lawsuit on their hands.

You’re not expecting great food when you go to one of these, and you won’t get it here. You ARE expecting a lot of food, and you will get that. You also expect not to pay an arm and a leg for poor quality troughs of food. I’m afraid I have some bad news there …

It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet, it’s not fancy, it’s certainly not haute cuisine, and it’s not trying to be anything but piles of good food. It can be healthy, they have a great salad bar and quite a few healthy dishes, but I don’t come here for my health. We only come here a few times per year, so I throw health to the wind and just enjoy a little time at the trough(and some people-watching). I bring the kids here for a 100% hassle free dinner. Everyone likes what they are eating, it’s hot, it’s fresh, there’s plenty, the menu changes and cycles, more is always coming, and no clean up. And the food? It’s a delicious and deviant pleasure of mine, like my love of spam. Yes, the pizza is cheap, but it reminds me of school food back in the day, so I eat it with a dollop of thousand island just like I did back then. The horror! Popcorn shrimp and fish sticks? Load me up! Tacos, fried chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, fried fish nuggets, honey biscuits, jojo potatoes, country-fried steak, honey bourbon fried chicken, and sweet and sour shrimp? Yes please! Sinful«quick» foods aside, they also have the aforementioned salad bar, baked fish, baked chicken, baked potato bar, steamed veggies, server-sliced baked ham, boiled cabbage, mashed potatoes and gravy, and server-sliced roast beef. I think I saw a newly added server-tended Mongolian barbeque area too, but I filled up after three passes and didn’t manage to get to it(maybe next time). And they have an excellent dessert area! Sundae bar with sprinkles and cookie bits and gummy bears, brownies, cookies, carrot cake, cupcakes, banana pudding, plus a section of hot desserts like apple compote and sweet buns. For drinks, I saw milk, chocolate milk, soft drinks, up to three flavors of slushee/icee, and possibly coffee(unsure, I’m not a coffee drinker). The price of dinner does not include a drink so they can advertise a lower price for the meal, but it still feels like a surcharge. Who doesn’t drink anything during a meal? It’s like paying extra for utensils and napkins. A child stops being a child at age twelve and will pay full price. Four adults and one child ran us $ 62, but I bet they lost money on my teen and his buddy. And plan to throw a few bucks to the lady that keeps your table clean throughout the meal, she’s nice and she deserves it. Not the cheapest, but worth it. Leave the fancy folk at the mansion and dig into some solidly good vittles.

Hometown Buffet is a great restaraunt. I had been to other locations of Hometown Buffet as well as to Golden Corral many times. This location of Hometown Buffet blows any Golden Corral out of the water! I went for breakfast and they offered many things! It was great! The workers were also very kind and helpful. I plan to return again very soon!

I caught lunch here the other day and had an average experience. The place was definitely clean, but some of the food seemed not so fresh. The salad bar was pretty good and they had plenty of options. The entrée items were ok, but they had some questionable looking fish. The barbeque chicken was really good though. The highlight to the whole experience though was the desserts! Phenomenal! The brownies tasted like 5 stars, and they had some fresh banana pudding! It’s not an American Buffet unless you have tons of good banana pudding! I had a cappucino from the machine(for some odd reason) and it tasted REALLY weird. I usually don’t go for those Cappucino machines, but this time I did. Yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and leave it alone next time. :-) The price SEEMED fair, but it’s been a while since I have been to a buffet. I’d try it again. Most likely at dinner time to see how it compares.

Look, I recently went to Golden Corral, which I hadn’t been to in years… I thought it would be exactly like Hometown Buffet. Oh how I was wrong. That place was so disgusting it really makes HTB look like a 5 star restaurant. They had a chocolate fountain with little kids surrounding it… I dare you to tell me it’s clean. Hometown Buffet is a buffet(duh), so the buffet part should tell you it’s not going to be stellar food unless it’s a Sunday brunch at The Worthington Inn. However, HTB is pretty decent for what it is. The staff has always been super friendly, and I’ve never had any problem with the food.

Hometown Buffet… it is what it is. This particular one has done some updating and remodeling since the last time I’d been here. The food was really good… no question about that. The staff was generally polite and made for a good experience. One thing to remember, this is a buffet. This place caters to families, children, and everyone. So yeah, it may be a bit crowded or a little noisy, it’s not fine dining. You get people of all ethnic groups, age groups and/or other various sorts. The food is great, as already mentioned. There was a nice salad bar, taco bar, & several selections of soups. The food bar has fish, chicken, shrimp, pastas, meat loaf, mac & cheese, mashed potatos, etc. etc. It’s a great place to come if you just want to let loose and indulge in some carbs. And you can eat healthy here also if you wish. The dessert bar was just okay.
