I have been here twice and its just terrible. The coffe has no flavor, no matter what I order. The last time I went in, I had to leave right away. Why? Because their alarms started going off! They were closed, and left the front door open, and the lights on. Learn how to properly close a store! I will never return.

Absolutely terrible. Been here three times, twice with family and once on my own. Will NEVER be returning. I’m well travelled, at least within America. I feel it safe to say this is the worse coffee shop I’ve been to. 1st trip: all three of us got coffees. One hot, one frozen and one iced. The hot drink was lukewarm… Tasted like warm milk. Very weak coffee, if there was any coffee in it. It tasted like just milk and flavoring syrup. The iced drink was a 12oz cup, and probably only about 4 ounces of coffee. Again, very weak. The frozen drink was the flavor of the month. The rocky road freeze. It wasn’t frozen! It’s like it was a frozen drink but they left it sit out for an hour. When it came to pay, the total came to about $ 20. Seems a little high for 3 cups of coffee, doesn’t it? My next trip in, I got an iced drink. Same thing. Horribly plain and the lady behind the counter was rude. I walked in, she continued to text for a good 20 or 30 seconds. Thereafter, she had the whole«okay now stop bothering me» attitude. This time I paid more attention when I slid my card. THISPLACEAUTOMATICALLYTACKSON A 20% TIP! You’re making a cup of pre-made coffee! That’s not even a tipping job! The third time, I only went because my parents wanted to try it again. My god, this time the cashier looked like she was dead. If you applied makeup to a woman to try to make her look like she popped out of Nightmare Before Christmas, this lady is the result. Same, bland coffee. By now, I had the free cup. She had to do that as a separate transaction. She did the free drinks k, then we ordered two more drinks but got charged for three. Looks like she decided to buy herself a free coffee? Upon mentioning the issue with them assuming we want to tip 20% for a cup of coffee, the lady insists that it doesn’t do that and that we need to talk to corporate. Upon asking for the corporate phone number, she failed to give it to me. Don’t waste your time… Poor«coffee», rude and seemingly scamming staff, very overpriced… I’d rather make it myself or just go to a McDonald’s. At least they can get you a coffee without trying to cheat you in multiple ways.

The coffee here is great! I’ve been twice, and gotten a Buckeye Mocha both times. Once hot, once frozen. This place is a bit expensive, but it’s totally worth it. I like the small business feel and the interior is very pretty. I’ve never used it, but it has a drive-thru.

Crimson Cup coffee for a little over $ 2. They have a frequent customer card with the 7th or 8th free. It seemed like a cute little coffee shop but not a place I would come to sit for an hour and work on my computer. The atmosphere seems to be more come and chat or take and go. I am all about ambiance of creating a good working environment and this place doesn’t have it. It does have solid coffee that was way better than the coffee I got for free at my professional development class down the street. This is a good place to get coffee here and there but I wouldn’t make plans to go out of my way to get here.

Sunday morning, 9:31am. Their business hours of operations sign reads they open at 9:00am on Sundays. We’ve stopped twice since 9:00am and they are still closed. Bad customer service.

I came for the first time today and was totally disappointed. 1st, Crimson Cup coffee isn’t very good and I didn’t realize they sold it here. 2nd, no public restroom. 3rd, the only nondairy option is soy, but most soy and dary allergies are linked so I can’t have either. The reason it even gets a star is because it isn’t crowded and the wifi works well. My toes are frozen, though.

I’ve had mean bean many times and enjoy the black pepper fig mocha. However, what others have said about it tasting like warm milk is somewhat accurate. The drinks are not coffee-y enough. It tastes like they make the drinks with brewed coffee rather than espresso but I can’t be sure. Either way it needs more coffee flavor in it. I haven’t been back to mean bean in a while simply because if I’m going to shell out $ 4 for coffee I’d rather go to Starbucks. Put more espresso in the drinks and I’d be a regular!

I have been here a few times and had both good and bad experiences. I think it depends on who is working. I have gotten a caramel soy latte that was delicious and then there was a time I got a regular soy latte and most of it was foam. They burned my soy milk once which was disappointing but you would be surprised how many coffee shops do that to me. You are required to pay extra for soy milk so it would be nice to actually have a latte that is not burnt and not half foam. So I recommend tasting your drink before you leave.

Well, I have only been to Mean Bean once so far, but I absolutely loved the Buckeye Latte. It tasted exactly like I was hoping it would – who knew peanut butter, chocolate, and espresso would be so tasty!?! I was worried that it would be overly sweet, but it wasn’t! It was a little pricey(approx $ 4.50), but so worth it. I only gave 3 stars because I went to the drive thru and have no idea what the service, atmosphere, etc. are like inside the store. It doesn’t appear to me that they receive a lot of business, but it is a very convenient location for me to swing by after a trip to the Georgesville Kroger. I will definitely be back.

Ok, so I have revisited a few other occasions and each time was really disappointed. Each trip, they were out of the first 3 or 4 things I asked for.(Seriously, no over-exaggeration!) The girl at the window told me their menu isn’t really accurate and they don’t always carry everything on it. Why not just write the menu every day stating what you DO have? I thought this was kind of silly. Additionally, I realized the Black Pepper Fig Mocha I love so dearly is about a 10 oz serving(less than a can of pop) and is $ 5-something… I don’t like it that much. McDonalds has large iced coffees for $ 1 that are about as good and I know they’re going to have the flavor I want every time.

Yuck. And the blonde haired kid was terrible. He was walking out to the parking lot with a girl when I pulled in, turned around and followed me in, attempted to make my coffee(I only tasted warm milk gross) then waited for me to leave so he could flirt with the girl in the parking lot again. Terrible service.
