Live near High Street location and have been in half a dozen times. Food is good but Service gets worse every time. Associates huddled at bar consistently talking, eating and drinking both during and after shifts. Servers cashing out at bar next to patrons. Manager on laptop behind bar or talking to associates who are drinking. Bartender inexperienced as he broke almost every cork he tried to ope tonight. He obviously Does not know how to use a wine key. This place needs new management who understands good service.

I’m giving this one star solely because of the service. I understand when it’s busy it’s hard to juggle tables, but the place was completely empty or atleast our section was and the service was awful. Our dinner took two and a half hours. They were not attentive what so ever. The hostesses and manager didn’t seem to be helping much when the server was clearly struggling. We didn’t have our ordered beers for the majority of the time and no one got asked for refills. Then our server completely messed up our pizza after specifically letting him know of a allergy and didn’t compensate for it and charged full price. We didn’t get to eat with our party and by the time the correct pizza came out everyone was ready to leave and done eating. It was an expensive dinner with awful service that wasn’t worth it what so ever. Not worth the money when you can’t even enjoy a beer while waiting for your lousy service to come around.

I have been waiting at this restaurant since 8pm for a single pizza. The server was mildly attentive but It was clear that he was the only server and overwhelmed with too many tables due to poor management. In general, the experience has been extremely poor. After waiting 30 minutes after the rest of my group got their entrees, I was finally brought my pizza which was made incorrectly after specifically discussing an allergy. 30 minutes after that, I got the correct order(which I asked for to go) for which the server offered no apology nor discount. As a server for seven years of my life, I did not understand why there was such a lack of customer service from management from a clearly poor experience. I am utterly disappointed. Unfortunately, this is not my first poor experience at Pies and Pints. I feel fact, I have been to many of the other locations which I Have had positive experiences, however a third veryyy poor experience at the Short North location has prompted me to post my first poor review. I am extremely disappointed.

We tried Pies because it smelled fantastic when we walked by & looked like it had a great craft beer selection. It did not disappoint! There was 6 in our party. All with different beer & pizza tastes. Hannah was our server & she was incredible! She was patient with all of our different tastes & indecisiveness. She came back to the table to check on us at just the right intervals. She made GREAT suggestions & just did an overall great job taking care of us! We started our meal with pork nachos & antipasto salad. They were both very flavorful. Amongst our table we had the Hot Mama, the Thai, the Pork & Pine, the chicken & Gouda & finally, the Cuban pulled pork. We all cleaned up & everyone commented repeatedly about how good everything was. The beer selection was extensive & delicious. We were drinking everything from Hoppy IPA’s to fruity summer type ales & wine. Not one of us walked away unhappy or dissatisfied.

I do have to say, as a native New Yorker I find myself impressed with Ohio’s pizza scene. Pies and Pints is no exception. In need of a pizza binge before a tailgate, a group of us stormed in here on a mission to eat loads and loads of pizza, and drink loads and loads of beer. They have not one but TWO, that’s right… TWO…beer menus. One for the everyday beers they carry, and the ones they rotate. They even let you try before you buy, so you could get drunk on beer samples alone. I may have. No comment. Now moving on to the pizza… You can either get a 10 inch pie, or a 16 inch(where you can do half-and-half with your pizza choices). Add about 5 inches to each pie because they’re massive. We started with the flatbread which was a great pre-pizza nosh. We also ordered two large pies, one Cuban pork, and one half chipotle chicken and half steak and mushroom. Honestly, there was not a single one better than the other. All were amazing. It’s one of those spots where you can’t go wrong… but be prepared to get MESSY! Our server was great too, especially considering we were all under the influence of beers and beer samples. The only thing is that because these pies are made-to-order, it takes a while for them to come out, but I guess that’s okay, more time for beer!

Was catching up with a long lost friend after 20 plus years and we decided to try Bodega. Being a game night and a smaller restaurant it was pretty loud so I decided to go a couple of doors down to the new Pies and Pints. As I gathered information regarding the forthcoming party they graciously sat me and I waited for my friend. The server was great and very helpful navigating the HUGE beer list. We all had eaten just a little earlier so we just ordered the Chicken Wings(AWESOME) and the Pork Belly Nachos(Crazy good.) For as little as we ate the staff was gracious and helpful. I will be back for sure.

This was a hit for a small group lunch. Some ordered sandwiches that they said were great. I split a pizza with someone. They let us do a half and half pizza. It allowed us to each get completely different pizzas but only needing to order one. Service was good. Refill service was slow. Manager stopped by to check on us. It was dead for lunch which was surprising but not a problem for us. We had any table to pick from. We didn’t order any drinks but they have a huge bar and a ton of taps.

This was the best pizza I’ve had in a long time! I went with my boyfriend and some friends, and we tried the The Classic(Pep, sausage, mus & banana peppers) & the Chicken Gouda which was the best! Lots of toppings and the crust was that perfect combo of crispy & chewy. My friends tried the pesto pizza and the black bean pizza — the pesto pizza was apparently so good that they were fighting over the last piece :) The beer selection was great — it’s constantly rotating with lots of local options, and our waiter was friendly and helpful. I’d go back tomorrow!

Went to Pies and Pints last night because I heard from someone that there are a lot of ciders on tap. My friend likes to drink cider and a lot of times she has trouble finding it at restaurants so I suggested we stop in for a drink(we had just gone to happy hour at Tai Tiki next door) to check it out. There were tons of beers, ciders, and even root beer on tap. I went with the Zombie Dust and she had plenty of ciders to choose from. We were almost done with our drinks when a couple sitting next to us had their pizza delivered to them. It smelled so good and they looked so happy eating it, that we each ordered one to take home to our husbands for dinner. Love that this pizza is cut into proper slices and the crust is not too thin or too thick. I thought it was pretty good! Not sure how they hold their own, being next to Mikey’s Late Night Slice truck, but I hope they do!

The pizza is phenomenal, best gluten-free crust ever! The vibe is relaxed but semi-up scale and great for Friday night. The waiters/bartenders are super friendly and accommodating. They let you try different brews after assessing what your preferences are, which was wonderful since I don’t really know much about beer, I loved the«try before you buy» approach!

I love Pies and Pints!!! I’ve been to two other locations and the food quality and beer selection is always consistently wonderful. This is a new location and actually a lot larger than it looks. The service is here was top notch and we ate here during the pride parade when everything was packed. I have to stress how FREAKINGAMAZING the chicken wings are. In all seriousness, this is why we eat here. The pizza is excellent too, but those wings… oh the wings.

It’s all right. We came later in the evening on a Friday night, and though it wasn’t packed, the service was a bit on the slow side. I like that they always have a root beer selection on tap. We ended up with a half plain cheese and half grape pizza. I think it might have been a little overdone because the crust was very dry and chewy, and the edges were very wide(ie, not enough sauce to the edge of the pizza). I’d had the grape pizza before at their Worthington location, and remembered liking it a lot more than I did here. Maybe we just caught them on an off day, but with this many up-and-coming choices in the Short North, you can’t afford to have too many of those.

I loved pies and pints. We double dated here and i got a couple new drafts i had never had before, because they have a serious selection here! They also provide you with a list of upcoming drafts as they are constantly switching in new ones daily, keeping the variety at a very nice selection that is rivaled by few places ive been to in Columbus. But enough of the pints, the pies are the real winners here. We got a small for the two of us and it was plenty! We wanted to do ½ and ½ with two different types but unfortunately you can only do that with a large. After some serious decision making from a great selection of unique specialty pies, we got the Chicken Gouda pizza. It was VERY cheesy with gouda, chicken, bacon, green onion and a sauce i cant remember(balsamic?). I was very impressed. We had no trouble finishing it between the two of us! We also started with the chargrilled wings, which were delicious and a nice change of pace from typical fried wings. We will be returning soon!

This is my second time at a Pies and Pints with the first being the Easton location. I really liked this place the first time, but I wasn’t sure if it really was five star worthy. After checking out the Short North location, I’ll probably be back here quite often. As far as this location goes, it’s very similar to the one at Easton size-wise, but I think the bar itself is a little smaller. I do wish the front windows opened to the street, but that’s only a small gripe. I had heard that the wings here were awesome, and I love grilled wings, so we had to put an order of those in for an appetizer. Our server was incredibly helpful and friendly in answering questions about the pizzas as well as making recommendations to my girlfriend for beer, since she’s not a big beer drinker. She went with a cider that she actually really liked. Heads up to everyone: This place only serves beer and wine and not liquor, but they have a huge selection of beer. For the main course, we went with a large pizza, half Chicken Gouda and half white-pizza that we customized with garlic, tomatoes, and onions. The wings came out quickly, and they were amazing. Dry rubs are my favorite, and these wings had all sorts of flavor. The creamy Gorgonzola that came on the side was so tasty that I was eating it by itself once the wings were gone. The pizza didn’t take long to come out, and I think I’ve found one of my new favorite pizzas in Columbus in the Chicken Gouda. The Chipotle sauce mixed with the diced chicken, bacon, and scallions was addictive. The pizza was big, but it didn’t get soggy toward the center, and I could keep eating the buttery crust for days. The white pizza was good as well, but it didn’t top my Chicken Gouda. The pricing here is a little on the high side, but they use high quality ingredients, and the flavor is amazing. I would gladly spend more money in order to try all of the pizzas they have to offer, but it’ll be hard to not order the Chicken Gouda each time. Don’t be fooled by people telling you this is a sub par chain-y restaurant.

Oh. My. God. Becky! Top to bottom, one of the most unexpectedly impressive dining experiences I’ve had in the last year! Get the wings… seriously! The. Wings. Apparently marinated in Sriracha butter, then dry rubbed and grilled. I desperately need to learn how to make these at home. Our waiter(william maybe?) was one of the better ones I’ve had all-time and he strongly recommended the wings and was as right as one could be! We then had the spinach salad, which was good but nothing too special. A solid salad and I would gladly get it again. For the pizza, we got the Cuban. STOPTHEBUS!!! Holy crap, that pork with pineapple, jalapeño, and such a perfectly crispy crust!!! I want more, I want more now. Seriously, can you bring me some? I’ll pay you. Cannot wait to take others here!

This may be my new favorite restaurant. We just relocated to Columbus from another foodie town(Saint Louis). We were celebrating my husband’s birthday on Saturday night and decided – based on Unilocal reviews– to try Pies and Pints. We were not disappointed. First, our service was truly amazing. William, our server, was hands down one of the most professional servers I have ever had the pleasure of dining with. Definitely ask for him if you decide to give P&P a try. The beer and wine menu was pretty intense – in the best way possible. My husband got a Brooklyn on tap and I tried a delicious watermelon ale that tasted wicked on the tongue. If you are wanting a subtle fruit beer– this is it! At first sip my beer tasted like a standard light beer, but after fully swallowing you got a light watermelon aftertaste. As for food, we ordered a small Greek salad to split as an appetizer. They didn’t skimp on the toppings and it was more than filling. They have a generous policy that states if you order a large pizza, you can do two different themes. On one half, we went with the standard pepperoni and sausage. On the other half, we got the Thai pizza. The mix of toasted coconut, curry sauce, cilantro and shrimp almost made my mouth orgasm. We will definitely get Thai again next time! Since we were celebrating a birthday, we ordered their rich chocolate and peanut butter trifle cake. Holy Peanut Butter Moly! It’s like eating a homemade Reece’s Cake slice. If you like peanut butter and chocolate, you will love this. It’s very rich so consider getting it to share.

This was some pretty good pizza. Ordered the mushroom/garlic, small pie. More than enough for 2. Friend had a large spinach salad, it was large, again enough for 2 dinners. Great beer list(had a Bodhi) and very friendly server(as were all the staff) Would be awesome if the windows opened during nice weather. Looks like it will be a good place to watch sports! Forgot to ask if they had beer flights, if they don’t, they should.

First time here. I didn’t order any drinks, but I did order an appetizer and a Signature Pizza. That turned out to be Rosemary & Olive Oil Flatbread with an entire scoop of warm and semi-soft Goat Cheese, both drizzled with a Balsamic reduction which literally gave the dish a pastry-like appearance. Awesome. And then there was the Pizza, a highly unusual combination they call Grape and Gorgonzola. Wow. That is nearly edge to edge Gorgonzola with a tender and thin crust which never overwhelms — not that a nice Gorgonzola is easily overwhelmed! There’s a whole lot more on the menu including very tempting desserts which even a person of my vast bulk had no room to try, but let me just say that a more ambitious group of diners and drinkers would have a heck of a lot to work with here.
