Planet Smoothie

It’s been a while since we had a smoothie at this location so while we were out shopping we stopped by. Someone was in line in front of us but no worries the location was well staffed, when she said she didn’t know what she wanted the red head rolled her eyes and sighed. Red then told us to order in the pick up area. The young man there told us to go back to the order here section, a second young man, standing next to red, asked us what we would like. We placed our order and another young lady who was standing behind him (leaned back with her arms crossed) rudely says «Out of greek yogurt (an ingredient in both smoothies we ordered).» At this point we had had enough of the attitude and walked away.

Planet Smoothie has some of the best smoothies in Columbus, though some of the flavors they offer are weird, to say the least. I’m at a lost for the correct word to use when talking about the staff here. Rude? A little. Attentive? Definitely not. I don’t know, these people… young adults… working here rub me the wrong way. Also, their smoothies a little on the pricier side, but I don’t get them often so I guess I can’t really complain.
If you’re at Easton and craving something other than your standard soft drink, I’d definitely give Planet Smoothie a shot.

Normally they have around 2~3 people working but today, just one. Just as our smoothies were done, another person came and rung us out. I guess she was on lunch break? The guy thanked us for being patient and I just felt bad cause usually there are at least two people for making the smoothie and taking orders and such. Anyways, my smoothie was A-​OK but others were good. Amazon Kick and The Last Mango was a bit bland, but Crazy Bee was pretty delish according to my friends. Overall, it was a decent experience but I’ve had better.

The smoothies here are good depending on which one you get. I would have given PS 4 stars, but when I go the service is consistently horrible. Each time I’ve gone here, I am the only person in line yet the workers get extremely impatient when I don’t order immediately. I think that the prices could be reduced a bit (or at least offer a smaller size than their «small»). $ 5+ is a little high for a chain smoothie joint. Overall, just an average experience.

I came in at 2 pm on a Tuesday. The place was empty so the only delay was me choosing what I want. Imagine that!
I was a little taken back by the sizes — my idea of a large (maybe even XL) was their medium. Considering the size and cost of a cup of Joe at Starbucks, or a shake at most restaurants — I think the prices were pretty much what I would expect.
I ordered a Spazz with energy shot. This ended up being my lunch and I was held over till dinner. It was tasty. I was satisfied.

The smoothies are fantastic. I really feel like they have an awesomely diverse menu– anyone could go and find something they liked on the smoothie menu. I feel like the prices are quite a bit high, but this is usually just a once in a while treat for me. What I strongly dislike about this location is the staff. My husband and I stood there waiting at the front of a growing line (for four minutes) while the staff of preschoolers– oops, I mean highschoolers (maybe early college kids) stood around joking with each other and throwing fruit. REALLY? I get that you’ve gotta make the most of your job sometimes, and I’m all for socializing while you’re store front is empty, but with a line of customers? No Thanks.

The smoothies are absolutely FANTASTIC! If it was soely based on the drink itself, this location would have five stars.
However great the smoothies, it could not be made up for by the ridiculously awful staff. The staff was insanely rude. I felt as if I would have received better treatment if I was a Steelers fan at a Browns game. That bad.

We shared a large Mr. Mongo. It was very good.
Line wasn’t too long, surprisingly, this place is usually very busy.
This is your typical smoothie place. They add supplements to the smoothies, workout blast, protien, vitamin…
Tasty. I’d buy from there again in a heartbeat.
