Food is delicious(and consistent) every time we go! We have never had to wait for a table, but we eat around 5:30pm because of our kiddo. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. I think the kid’s menu prices are a little high($ 7), but you do get a big portion. Highly recommend you try it!

Royal Ginger is my go-to sushi place and thankfully I work and live right next to it. I’m obsessed with the Mars Roll and the crab rangoon are absolutely to die for so definitely try those. Whenever my friends want to get sushi, I have to recommend this place(and we always end up here) plus it’s never loud so it’s great to catch up with friends and I’ve never had to wait for service or my food.

Let me start by saying the food was fantastic! My grandma got the cashew shrimp and I got the sushi platter it was great. However the service was horrible. We sat down and were asked what we wanted to drink. My grandma asked for a Manhattan and the waitress didn’t know what that was and asked me if it was a drink or food. I explained it was a drink and what was in it. She then asked for my drink order and I asked what was in one of their cocktails and she had no idea but I got it anyway, five minutes later the waitress came back and asks my grandma to write down what was in a Manhattan so the bartender could make it for her. So my grandma, very confused, did this, and the waitress left. Five minutes later she came back and explained that the bartender could not make the drink. So the waitress sat down at our table next to my grandma and forced my grandma to pick another drink which ended up being wine. The drink I received tasted extremely sour and tasted like pineapple juice and nothing else. Later in the meal I asked for a red wine which took at least 10 minutes to get to our table in addition to that when it got to the table there was lipstick all over my glass. So I ordered anther one and there lipstick all over that one as well. I will not be returning to this location. It made my grandma very uncomfortable to be sat next to and forced to order a drink she didn’t want and she did not like having to wait when the establishment wasn’t even nearly full.

This is an above average Chinese food place. The food is very fresh and the service is ok(not great). Pricing is good.

Went around 3p, so there weren’t many people there. The waitress was quick. so quick that she asked us what we wanted to order about 3 seconds after we sat down. Kind of odd, but not complaining about that. They have excellent lunch deals on sushi and the food came out quickly. Quality food and it all tasted good. We ordered miso soup and four sushi rolls. Their music was terrible and too loud, but everything else seemed good.

My friend and I went here to have lunch today and we had the worst experience ever! They would not let us substitute the wonton soup for the miso or hot n sour soup that came with the lunch special. The guy server who’s name was Derek told us those are the rules and nobody else asks to substitute anything! He said those have been the rules for years! Basically yelling at us! I asked to speak with the manager and he said the manager was not available. We told him we were not staying to eat there and all he said was ok and dismissed us like he didn’t even care. The whole restaurant was empty at 12:30 lunch time, I wonder why!!!

Passing through on the way to Cleveland and thought to give this place a try from the reviews(plus my first choice was closed) Not that I was looking for anything authentic, but you can have better by getting boxed Asian food kits at Kroger. Tom Yum soup was inedible; not sure what recipe they used for pad Thai; they seemed to have dumped a whole container of salt on the edamame; and the ginger was old and probably recycled. The server gave me a «what do you want me to do about it» attitude. Don’t bother with this one.

The best Asian Fusion restaurant in town. I love their Thai curries! The wine and Dine in menu can be little pricy. I love their lunch menu!

I came to eat here and the waitress was EXTREMELYRUDE!!! I don’t know if the one in upper Arlington and this one are from the same owner or not but I notice that people who work in the upper Arlington Royal ginger are a lot nicer. I think for a person to enjoy there meal the waitress has to be nice to you because if not the meal doesn’t taste the same.

I was skeptical but based in reviews decided to give it a try. Got here Tuesday, day which they offered happy hour. The roll I got was tasty, generous portion of fish, right amount of rice. I was expecting the opposite for happy hour, tons of rice little fish, so it was a great surprise. Dish is fresh, nice and prompt service but rest was not that full. Will be back next time I am in town. Thanks fellow Unilocalers for the reviews.

We were pleasantly surprised by Royal Ginger. It’s a large space, with a good-sized bar, sushi bar, and separated dining areas. Our server was friendly and on top of things. The menu is big, with tons of Asian options as well as a couple dozen sushi/sashimi/roll options. We ordered egg roll appetizers, and I got tuna and spicy, crunchy salmon rolls for some sushi action. Small rolls, but they tasted great(and regular pickled ginger, not that neon-pink stuff) and were priced right. For entrees, I ordered a Thai massaman curry with tofu. The spouse ordered the Thai casserole, which is a red curry with lemongrass. My sauce was excellent, and the tofu cooked perfectly. Not spicy, but flavorful and I could have eaten the sauce all by itself. The casserole was nicely balanced and the jicama gave it a sweet/sour crunch to balance out the lemongrass. At the end of the meal, we got chocolate fortune cookies. Obviously I’ve not been going to the right kinds of Asian markets, since I’d never known about chocolate fortune cookies. Decent.

I love Royal Ginger! Very close walking distance to my work and they have great lunch specials. If you order from the lunch specials you will receive either soup or salad and entrée. Their salad is awesome. Consists of a ginger sauce that has my lips smacking at the end. Service is usually pretty quick but can be either good or bad. Most times they don’t refill your drinks unless you ask. The entrée portions very. This time entrée was much smaller than the last time I was here. Also, the size of your salad varies each time you go. Just never know what to expect. That’s the bummer of my visits but I always get the same thing(kung pow chicken) and it always tastes great. I like the food which is why I give it 3 stars but service is hit or miss and portion sizes are as well. They also offer sushi here and I’ve heard it’s good. I really like the fried rice too.

Good sushi experience. I am glad I have an option to go to on this side of town. For lunch grab 2 rolls for $ 8 or 3 rolls for $ 11 and a salad OR soup comes with. Not a bad deal. The location is easy to find, right off Sancus and Polaris Parkway. The hostess and wait staff was very friendly and prompt, important if you were crunched for time. The menu is much more robust than just sushi so I will come back soon and update my review. A few drawbacks were the taste of the miso Soup amd sushi. The miso Soup was strong in miso flavor and it threw me off. Mostly when I have had miso soup it isn’t as strong. Also, other sushi locations provide a salad and a soup that way I can enjoy more of the other if I don’t enjoy one.

I love this place. It quickly became a favorite place of my boyfriend and myself last year when I moved to Columbus. The crab Rangoon appetizer is so yummy, it’s my favorite thing on the menu. The wonton soup is very good as well. My favorite sushi rolls are the Columbus roll and the Calamari roll, very nice flavor. The Philadelphia roll and the spicy tuna roll are also good. The eel sashimi is so yummy. Everything is always fresh. The service can sometimes be a little slow but overall they’re still pretty good about refills. Monday and Tuesday are great days to come because of their half price sushi special. The chocolate fortune cookies are awesome!

I will tell you that I ate here last night. First time I’ve ever been to this place. And it is an amazing restaurant to take anyone for good eats. The menu is very big, and they give you many options. Over 30 different variety of sushi rolls to choose from. And the entrees are all unique. They have ingredients added that gives your pallette a fresh take on Asian inspired cuisine. I had the royal ginger sushi rolls and duck fajitas. The sushi was fantastic. Melts in your mouth and the flavors will have you wanting more. The duck fajitas were fantastic. It was duck, carrots, chives, scallions with thin pancake wraps. Served with a sweet sauce. You will love that dish. For a Friday night, the place was empty. But I just don’t believe enough people know about this place. Its not on the main road on Polaris. But it is a must go. Please visit this place, you will enjoy the food and atmosphere. Perfect for dates and family.

Great sushi specials in Monday and Tuesday! Half price rolls makes this place worth the slower than average service. For vegetarians, the Avocado and Sweet Potato rolls are excellent! They have a large table in the back for groups and I’ve been there with a party of 16 with no problem.

Few things in life are worth dying for-GEAT SUSHI is one! When it comes to really good sushi I will go any where. To think that Ohio could have really good sushi is an odd thought, but after having had amazing sushi on coastal regions of the US and abroad I will say that Columbus does have desirable sushi and this place is top 5 in CBUS. It’s not for the service or ambiance(which isn’t bad, but isn’t spectacular), but I am talking strictly for the quality of sushi, the preparation and presentation. The price is excellent at lunch. The sushi looked so beautiful and tasted so great that silence at the lunch table was experienced. This is highly unusual for the out going extrovert that I am, however I left after lunch in a much better mood, with a happier outlook on the day!

This food was amazing. Everything was made fresh. The General Tso sauce was amazingly fruity and fresh. The Kung Pao chicken tastes very different than any other place.(I mean it in a good way). The service was great. The manager came by to make sure the food and the service were great. Definetly going back

This is a good restaraunt to try if you’re in the Polaris area. I’m not from the area, so it’s not something I would drive to specifically, but would eat again if near. I ordered a specialty roll which was esentially a shrimp tempera roll with fillet on top. It was good, but not for the $ 15 price tag. My husband ordered curry which was very good. Again, I would eat here again, but wouldn’t go out of my way.
