Went for the first time last night and it totally won me over. Before this, I thought I was not a fan of Mediterranean food but I was so wrong. Had the fried kibbeh(amazing), mediterranean salad(I usually don’t enjoy salads because theyre boring but this one was DELICIOUS), vegetable curry with basmati rice(large serving, not very spicy which I liked and the nuts served in the rice are sooo tasty), and the baklava for dessert. The baklava was the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere with the belly dancer and music really cemented what was already a great dining experience into one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The service was very prompt, as well. Can’t wait to revisit.

One of my favorite places in Miam! They have a sampler special with fried kibbeh, falafel, hummus, baba ganoush and tabule that is amazing. Also, this mujadara is incredible! That is Lebanese rice with lentils and caramelized onions. The chicken platter is great, the stacks family and they are very friendly. Love the Turkish coffee for dessert!

I love that this place has lasted all these years. Excellent service and quality food. The choice of ordering 5 appetizers for one set price is great to get the group meal started.

I have been to maroush many times a few years ago! The food however is not the same at all! I went to have lunch with my mother and aunt this Thursday! We were very disappointed! The kitchen door was open and as we were entering the restaurant we could see the dishwasher washing the dishes! That immediately turned us off! Second the appetizers didn’t taste good! We ordered tabouleh and it needed lemon! It had too much olive oil and not enough salt or lemon juice! We even tasted some cinnamon in our tabouleh! The Lebanese sausages were so disgusting we had to send them back to our waiter! The fried kibbeh was still raw inside and the falafel wasn’t properly cooked! The babaganouj tasted horrible! The only thing we enjoyed was the château kefraya Wine and that’s about it! We asked for our check and went to another place for dessert! We were all very disappointed! Maroush used to be much better back in the days! The food is defiantly not the same!

Absolutely terrible service. They have no system for the service and table layout is chaotic… Makes everything feel cramped. everyone else runs around putting fires that they forget the basics in service. Appetizer we ordered was totally forgotten. Never came back for our drink orders. I asked for sauces and never received them until after my group had finished their meal. The chicken shawarma was dry and flavorless, it was hard. The steak was moist and well prepared. My two favorite things were the babaganosh and the rice. I really wanted to like this place

One of the best Lebanese restaurants in South Florida. Always quality. Always excellent service. Have never had a bad dish here. They have valet parking as well, or you can use the miracle like public garages and walk

Great Mediterranean food in the heart of the gables. I tried the Mediterranean fish and was superb. I will definitely come back. It’s a great warm atmosphere and Andrew is a friendly waiter and welcoming.

Great place for Mediterranean food! Nothing bad to report :) My sister and I ordered a gyro and hummus with swarma. It was all yummy and enough food for 2 ladies to split!

Maroosh is my alternative to other spicy meals one could have for a lunch. When you dine here you feel in a distant land as you are surrounded foreign art and large ornate looking light fixtures with blue bulbs. I kind of like it. There is upstairs and downstairs dining although I have only ever been seated downstairs. The service is prompt and you can have your meal within 10 minutes of the order. Typically I’ll come here for a kebab in either lamb or chicken, and yes you can substitute the rice and onions for extra vegetables! Before your main dishes arrive you’ll be served a round of pita bread with chili sauce and a garlic butter sauce!(be careful whom you speak with after lunch hour). There is also a dish of pickled carrots, cauliflower and olives to cleans the pallet. Maroosh is trying out a new Sangria(red or white) imported from Spain, displaying the colorful bottles at the check out area, and I picked up a bottle as a birthday gift for $ 10 less than if I had consumed it at the table. I think that is evidence of a fair deal. If you are in need of a Middle East fix that will take you away during your lunch hour. Come to Maroosh!

This is probably the most authentic Lebanese restaurant in town. The décor is Arab Mediterranean and the service is great!!! I really enjoy the desserts.

This is one of my favorite places to eat from the Middle East. Love the lamb sausage appetizer. This place also serves up real coffee, the strong stuff! I always order a pastry and coffee after every meal. The baklava is to die.

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary dinner a couple of weeks ago. We came about two hours before closing on a Sunday night and had our pick of seating, as there were only a handful of tables taken. We ordered some hummus and tabouleh(sp?) to start. They were very delicious! We loved the warm pita that they gave us, since it was a cold night out. It was thin and fluffy. My boyfriend ordered the sauteed kafta with basmati rice for his entrée. He has never had ground lamb before, so he was slightly worried. However, once he tried it, he could not put down his fork! I’m not a fan of lamb, but I loved it when I tried some of his dish. I ordered the Mediterranean fish dish with the fish of the day, which was grouper. It was my first time having grouper and it was delicious! It was soft and flavorful! The wait staff was attentive. The owner/manager walked around a couple of times and was very friendly and made sure that we were satisfied with our food. The décor in this restaurant was absolutely beautiful! I have no complaints and will be back in the future!

Could’ve been 4 stars if it wasn’t for the service :( — after ordering appetizers, waiter didn’t show up to our table for 15 – 20 minutes.(Young lanky guy) — waiter seemed busy helping bigger parties. Usually the case. — our waters were never filled. Overall, meh wouldn’t come back. Sorry.

This was a really yummy place. Came here for lunch with a dear friend and coworker. The hummus was perfect. So good. I had the chicken kabobs and she had the lamb ones. The service was great and so was the décor. Really, really like this little gem. I will certainly be back very soon.

I came to Miami just 1 day. My friend Nabil took us for lunch. He asked what kind of food we wanted to have, and my husband said in between the options, arabic. So, he took us to this restaurant. The place was very cozy. I am not fond of women dancing the belly dancing so this place was just perfect to omit this fact. My friend ordered different kinds of plates, tabbule, kibbe, falafel, salad with feta cheese, hummus, baba ganoush, labne, beef, chicken, shrimp. These three last has garlic and lemon, absolutely tasty. The rice with angel hair was so enjoyable with the shrimp. I will come back to this place. I am a connoisseur of Lebanese food and this restaurant deserves an A+.

Maroosh was okay. Everyone is right about the hummus, it is definitely one of the best hummus I’ve had — keep in mind I’ve really only had Sabra. Our group was lucky to get here around 9PM on a Saturday and got a table relatively quickly. Unfortunately, the service was not as quick. I hadn’t eaten since brunch and was not really having it with the multiple rounds of belly dancing. I think that generally people would rather order their food than listen to deafening belly dancing music that inhibits the process. I ordered the shawerma(their spelling) and was rather disappointed. The meat was tough and not particularly flavorful. It also didn’t really come with vegetables that I expect with shawarma. The kabobs that some friends ordered did look good, so perhaps if I return I’ll try those. The falafel was alright. As a personal aside– I know that I find Halal Guys in NYC overrated, but I’d rather pay $ 8 for their food if I’m craving gyros.

Best Mediterranean in the gables. Unlike other Mediterranean restaurants in the area, Maroosh offers sit down service with great service, good lunch deals, and the best flippin hummus you ever had. The owner is always at the establishment, which is the best case scenario, if you ask me. He is also the nicest guy on the planet and makes the trip that much more enjoyable. They do takeout, and they do it great. They have never messed up on my order. Sometimes I even get an extra baklava with my order, which is so delicious. Here are my favorite menu items: 1) hummus with meat is so delicious and will make you want to come back and eat it every day of the week. 2) gyro plate. The meat is off the chain. 3) the kebabs are great. For sides, the rice is so delicious but if you are hoping for healthy, go with the tabouli or the Greek salad(they give you a great amount of fresh feta too). They also make these delicious chicken wings. I am not usually a big fan of chicken wings but these are great and grilled also. You always have to get the baklava. It is the perfect ending to a perfect meal.

They serve the best hummus I have ever tried! The service and the food is great here. I usually come for lunch since they have great lunch specials. The owner is always there and checks in on the tables to make sure everything is to your satisfaction. Service is also fast, so don’t worry about being late to work :) I love so many things on the menu: Lamb Kebab — All of the kebabs are served with house salad(delish and fresh) and mediterranean rice. You can ask for double salad if you’re going low carb. The lunch special has one kebab, dinner has two. Hummus — I repeat, amazing! Enough for 3 or 4 people. Fried Kibbeh — Meat and crushed wheat shell, stuffed with pine nuts, onions, and minced meat. Try these with their amazing garlic sauce. so good! Shanklish — Feta Cheese marinated with oregano, red hot peppers and spices served with chopped onions, tomatoes and olive oil. Complimentary pickled veggies and pita bread served as well. For sweets, I would recommend the baklava, the mini roses, and the burma.

First time here, however the wife stops by regularly and speaks highly of this place. We ordered the chicken wings and lentil soup, two chicken kabobs lunch specials and Turkish coffee. The atmosphere and the décor are good, the service outstanding and while the food was not as flavory/spicy as I would prefer, it was not bad at all. You certainly sense the freshness of the ingredients they use and can count on being absolutely healthy. Perhaps I’m being too hard on my review since I visited Turkey four times last year. I was impressed, the owner and his staff are all dedicated to proving a superb service and it shows the minute you walk into this restaurant. I will be back, there is something special going on here.
