Food is awful. Price is way to high. 12.95 and it tasted instant food. The bathroom was so bad I didn’t even want to go in there.

I ate here today… good God the food tasted like old and stale. The potatoes in the pot roast tasted like dirt. VERYDISAPPOINTING!

Why is this place so dirty??! Floors, tables, windows, blinds, light fixtures, WALLS, all covered in something. Bathrooms are run-down. Makes my skin crawl. If that’s the presentation they’re giving in the front, I can’t imagine what’s behind closed doors. I try my best to stay away but my kids like that they don’t have to wait for food and that they offer slushy drinks and an assortment of desserts. Workers are nice here. They just need to clean or hire a professional cleaning crew.

Do you remember the food at the cafeteria in elementary school, this was something like that. The food was all plain and dry. The shrimp were soooo dry and small you would think they were coco puffs. The chicken was sooo hard you would mistaken the actual bone for meat considering the bone was more soft than the meat. I don’t know i remember coming hear years ago, and decided to revisit it with the family, big mistake… for almost 100 dollars for 6 people I’d be better off eating at the steak house down the street for around the same price.

While I was passing through my father and I decided to stop for some lunch and the staff seemed friendly enough but they weren’t getting much done. The Taco bar was completely empty and even after I told the manager, who was wandering eating a plate of his own food, it still wasn’t refilled. The Raspberry iced tea my father and I enjoy so much was so sweet we had to dilute it with their water that doesn’t seem to be filtered out the tap. I wouldn’t come here again during lunch.

the soda wasn’t carbonated and the only thing good here was probably the dessert. The service was very nice though. The food just didn’t taste great at all.

My favorite meatloaf was old and dried out and they refused to replace the 6 lonely pieces until I asked them. How about some pre-emptive strikes in that regard. No one at the ham and beef carving station, so I had to do without. For 10+ years, I have been telling them to make sure that there are labels on ALL foods offered, as many of us have food allergies, diet mandates, or Jewish preferences, but nothing seems to change at this location. I got RAW gravy-smothered beef patties that I did not discover until almost done with my meal. When I got home I had a stomach ache and had to run to the bathroom 3 times… Grrrr. Is there no one who actually inspects and tastes the food BEFORE it is served to the masses??? Filthy bathroom, with dirty towels all over the floor and counter, and grafitti on the stall doors. WHY is there no HOURLY inspections(and cleaning if needed)? Epic fail, as many others have also commented about this issue. Now that the GEN Buffet has opened next door with its ultra modern décor and fresh food, I wonder how many customers will jump ship never to return again?

I have not been to a home town buffet in a long time so my wife and decided to try this one even though the reviews were not great. We have a coupon for 9.99 per buffet so we decided to give it a chance. We had bad experiences with other home town buffet in the past so we had visit one in a long time. As anyone in the right mind would know, this is not a place to bring a date unless you are 70 and your date is 65. The environment is definitely made for senior citizens and you can see a lot of of couples in that age range. The seats are pretty old, the carpet is not very cleaning and look it was put on on the 60’s. It kind of felt like a hospital cafeteria. The food is not the greatest but for 9.99, I guess is not that bad. There is quite a few items to pick depending on your taste. I really did not like anything I ate particularly. I hope that if anyone decides to eat here comes knowing that the food is not going to be the best quality. For us, this was last chance for home town buffet. I am sorry to say that we are not returning to any home town buffet. I hope that they change their in the future Until then…

Keeping in mind this is a buffet, this particular experience was actually really good. The food was good, they had a large enough selection. My normally picky son ate a ton and actually liked the food, going back for seconds. The service lacked in places but there were other waiters that made up for the bad ones. The pot roast was really good and so were the pot pies. The steak was seasoned well and it wasn’t over done. I used to hate hometown buffet, but after today we might consider coming back.

I have not been to a home town buffet in ages, so the family decided to go. After about 10 minutes into our trip there I realized we had made a huge mistake. Not a single thing on the buffet was fresh, everything was bland and tasteless. The employees were friendly and I agree with the commenter that the carving station was sometimes manned, sometimes not. I will NEVER come to Hometown Buffet every again. My son has officially renamed this place«Hometown Barffet». If a Golden Corral ever comes to town this location would be out of business real fast.

Went to go have me some American food. As soon as I open the door, OMG. I thought I was in a convalescent hospital. The smell of soiled carpet. That place needs to have a make over. Bad Management«« Please make it overall fix.

This HTB sucks. Really. The good isn’t great, their cashier person sucks, it’s dirty, and small. I only gave it 3 stars strictly for the server, who was one of the best ever. Will never return to this location.

The last time I came here was about four months ago, so this is a delayed review. The location is in the middle of the Home Gardens area in Corona where a ton of shops(and Costco) is located, so it’s usually popping. However, I’ve never had to wait longer than a few minutes to get in. Service has always been okay, as I remember one or two times where we had plates pile up for a while. I’m not sure if my standards for food got higher or if Hometown got worse, but I do know that in the past they would have a large selection of food that was generally appetizing. The last time I went, there was something off about a large part of the selection from the salad(not fresh) to the cinnamon rolls(hard and dry). The worst thing was probably the pizza, which was actually rancid from the cheese. After accidentally taking a bite out of that, I was done for the day. I’m usually pretty kind with my reviews, and I’m not giving this location one star because their food was pretty decent in the past. Hopefully standards have picked up since I last tried it.

For the most part the food was good and the atmosphere was nice. The staff are the best thing about this place. The soup some potato cheese thing was really nasty. The steak was good. This place is really hit and miss some food was good some okay and some nasty. Had a good time here though.

This is probably my favorite location. It’s spacious, well organized & has plenty to offer. The greeter could have been a little friendlier but other than that everything checks out. Hospitable staff, ample space & well balanced options.

Kept my expectations low because of all the reviews here but I just have to try and see for myself, after all the Buy 1 Get 1 mobile coupon is not a bad deal after all. 7pm on a Thursday night the place is not that packed so we were able to find a table quick. I checked what healthy options I can find so I checked the salad bar it doesn’t look appetizing so I skipped that and immediately checked what I can eat for dinner. Got the baked chicken and baked fish and some vegetable pilaf rice. The fish is a little on the bland side but salt and pepper fixed that, I like the baked chicken as it kinda tastes like fried chicken without the added guilt, the rice pilaf is also decent. Husband got some prime rib which is on the hard side. We also tried the ham which I’m not really happy about as it tastes like one of those cheap Christmas hams. Peach cobbler looks good but failed to impress as the filling is just so sweet. Thank goddess for the tres leches cake which I think is the yummiest among all the desserts available. It’s past 8 and they’re closing, the staff even asked us if we would like to take home some food as they’re just going to throw it away… Overall the place is clean, staff is friendly, food is okay but won’t go back here not unless there’s a coupon, just don’t see myself paying full price to eat here.

Food is terrible, staff is a bunch of idiots. I came in around 2:45, I was there before my friends, no one at the counter so I sat down and waited. As above, food was terrible! ! So we’re done, it was just after 4pm. Being honest I told the lady I didn’t pay, she rang me up for dinner! I came during lunch, there was no reasoning with her or the manager. I guess I should have just walked out since I was over charged. Once again, food was terrible and staff is a bunch of idiots
