Love this place!!! Every time I go in there I get the best service possible no matter how busy they are. And the food is always fresh, and delicious. I highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a good eating experience.

Always outstanding service and the sushi is amazing. We come here often with 4 small kids and they are so nice to them as well.

This place has great service, great prices and the best spicy tuna in the area. I’m super picky about spicy tuna so I come here twice a week for lunch to get rolls. It’s amazing and the sushi chefs are incredibly nice. I love it and would recommend it to anyone!

Favorite place for sushi. Small establishment but cozy. They have Sapporo and my all time favorite Asahi beer. Great menu options.

We walked in and the staff greeted us kindly. All the staff here were super attentive and when my friend’s kiddos cried they passed out fruit snacks to them.(Super sweet) they also have a big projector screen to play kid friendly movies… Save your phone battery moms and dads :) Ayce is 23.95 and I would have to say it’s completely worth it. They have halibut and uni on the all you can eat menu. The uni was fresh. The rolls are good here but I personally like the just plain sushi. The salmon sushi was really good. Its buttery and creamy. They also give you green tea ice cream at the end :) I will definitely coming back!

Always pass this place and decided to finally try it! Originally wanted NYPDPIZZA next door but they had a 30 minute wait. So hubby and I walked over to Tokai Sushi. Very friendly! We were seated right away. I ordered AYCE. Menu was kinda boring. Only basic rolls it seemed. But the pics looked good so i waited for my orders to show up. Showed up quickly but instantly dissapointed. ALLRICE!!! I ordered a Dragon Roll and there was barely any fish on it. Quality of sushi is less than A fast food sushi place. I ended up eating only 1 serving of my AYCE and left. I was so mad that I wasted my time and money on this place. I believed all these reviews that this place was good! I should have listened to the one bad review on here. Will never go here again! But… i must say they were very nice and the service was good. Ive never written a review this long before. I am writing it while i wait for my really good food. To Go! from NYPDPIZZA Next door!

I was really impressed with the food! Everything was fresh and wonderful sauces! Awesome service too! The only disappointment(which is very minor) is that tea was with a tea bag rather than standard pot steeped. Otherwise, I have my newest favorite Sushi place!!!

I came here for the first time with my sister and one-year-old niece on a Saturday afternoon and had a great experience. We both ordered the all you can eat sushi and it was delicious. It was probably some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Everything we ordered was amazing(I don’t remember what the rolls were called except for the Philly Crunch roll). The customer service was excellent. Our server was really sweet, friendly, and patient. I’m definitely coming back! Update: I came back here last night and brought my mom. She loved it. Their customer service did not disappoint! My mom accidentally spilled her drink and they were quick to come clean(all while not making my mom feel bad or embarrassed.) All of the rolls we ordered were to die for.

I know it’s pretty biased to write a review cuz I know the owner but one thing I will say is that this is definitely great for families with children. The owner have two young children of their own, so they understand that its hard to go out with little ones. They have crayons and even toys for kids to play with. 3−10years are free to eat for the Ayce sushi. Also the ladies restroom look like a nursery, I love it. So please come and enjoy some sushi without worrying about kids too much.

Second time here and def will be coming back. A little smaller than most sushi places but it’s nice and cozy with nice Christmas decorations. The food here is tasty and fresh! I always look for great cuts on my favorite fish salmon :) and this place never seems to fail me. The manager(Andy) is very nice and the service is great as well! Best in Corona in my opinion

Everything was perfect in my book! Ordered some stuff with the hubby and we enjoyed every single dish. We had salmon teriyaki, Seared Tuna salad, Gyoza and Bbq ribs– they were cooked just right! And at the end of our meal, they gave a sampler and that, too, was yummmy! The guy server was very nice, pleasant and polite. He’s a 5-star!!!

I should’ve known better than to eat at an «all you can eat sushi» joint. Good news, place is clean, staff is nice and we got our food pretty quickly… only because we were there right when it opened. The bad news… sorry, to those that love this place but this is not legit sushi. — I had food bits in my ice — too much sauce in my rolls, I couldn’t taste anything but the sweet black sauce. Every roll I had tasted basically the same. Bad sushi rice and sweet sauce. sushi rice has to be made perfectly otherwise it does not provide the proper back drop for the seafood. Sushi rice was not up to par — the lobster/monster roll was maybe about 10% lobster and the rest rice, sweet sauce and 70% imitation crab — I tried the $ 8(top) ramen bowl… awful. It was essentially packaged ramen. There was nothing ramen about my noodle bowl other than the fact that they used«top ramen noodle». Note to self. NEVER eat here again and NEVER eat sushi in Corona. I didn’t even bother talking to management about my food because regardless of what they gave me in exchange it wasn’t going to make their low quality ingredients taste any better.

This place is under new ownership and unfortunately there have been changes that came along… While we love Andy and all of the servers there, the food has suffered. The rolls use to look exactly like the photos on the menu, topped with yummies and drizzled with goodness. Now they have very little fish and are plain as can be. Such a bummer, it use to be our go-to.

Had seen this sushi place in the Eagle Glen shopping plaza a few times but never had an opportunity to try it out. They offer an All-you-can-eat menu or you can order off their regular menu. Here’s what I don’t like about this place. The AYCE menu feels significantly lower than the options off the regular menu. The rolls that are pictured have a sign depicting ”EAT” which means, it’s part of the AYCE menu. But some of the good rolls that we wanted to order were not part of that. To us, that’s a big negative. You have 3 rounds, and it’s really your normal AYCE sushi menu. There’s no sashimi offerings on the ayce menu either — which is fairly common for most places we’ve been to in the area. Price per person? $ 23.99. The service was OK. It was a busy night but the servers couldn’t distinguish the rolls and had to flag 3 different people before we could figure out which rolls were which.(We ordered a lot of rolls during the first round and wanted to make we got the correct ones, so that we’re not stuck eating ones we don’t like or didn’t order) They do offer a beer special if that’s what you’re into, but since we’re not beer people it didn’t really help us. They do offer cookies to little kiddos afterwards which is a plus. Overall, I wouldn’t avoid this place in the future but I think there are other options for AYCE places in town that are better.

This was my first visit to Tokai. I’m a huge fan of sushi, but it has to be good. This place did not disappoint! Everything was amazing, from the garlic edamame, to the Jessica Alba roll and even the free stuffed jalapeño appetizer that the owner brought over for us to try! The people here are really sweet, which just added to the dining experience. The owner took the time to come and welcome us, introducing himself. There are many sushi places around this area and I’ve tried almost all of them. This one takes the cake! I will be coming back often! I just had to add that as we were eating, a homeless man came in. They handed him a bag of food and knew him by name. My heart was so touched by this act of kindness.

Great service and super friendly staff. I came here with my best friend and we got immediately seated. They have AYCE sushi, but we opted not to get it because we were not that hungry. We ordered three rolls and the garlic edamame. I don’t remember the exact names of the rolls but I can tell you what each consisted of– one was a roll topped with eel and avocado, another was a spicy tuna roll topped with albacore and the third was a baked crawfish roll. The only roll I had problems with was the baked crawfish one– just was not feeling it. Crawfish overload. But the other two rolls were really delicious, some of the better sushi I’ve had in Corona. The garlic edamame was HUGE. Definitely a portion for sharing. Order only if you like garlic, because it’s sauce heavy. I really enjoyed it but definitely ate more than I should have. I believe it was the owner(?) who kept coming by and asking us how everything was. He was super friendly and went to every table. He even gave some of the kids at one of the tables next to us crayons. It was really cool to see how much he cared about each of his customers. Would come back!

Tokai Sushi has been in the same shopping center for about six years and kept under the radar for some time. I can’t remember much of the way it was, only that the original entrance was at the left and that it didn’t leave much of an impression the first time we came here years ago. Andy, one of the Sushi chefs, explained that he had the opportunity to take over ownership three years ago and jumped on it. I feel it wasn’t until his ownership that business really started to pick up and people started to take notice. If you’ve read the Unilocal reviews, you will notice that many of the 5-star reviews have been added the past three years. They do have noticeably excellent Customer Service. It was packed tonight. As we prefer to sit at a table versus at the bar for sushi, we told the hostess that we were willing to wait for a table to be cleaned, in order to be seated. We stood at the front for only a short period of time and already three different people asked if we’d like to be seated at the bar, since all of the tables looked occupied. We loved that they were so attentive. Our server, Jocelyn, was all smiles. We learned that she drives here from Chino Hills(with traffic, it can take a while$ because she loves sushi and loves working at this restaurant. It shows. She gave us great recommendations to try their Mango Soju and White Princess rolls, because we felt like trying something outside the norm for us. My husband enjoyed the White Princess rolls, his Yellowtail Collar, and his Spicy Tuna hand rolls, however, absolutely loved the Monster Rolls(I think that’s what they’re called). I, too, enjoyed the rolls AND they had my favorite,…Uni. So, I was a happy camper. We’re so happy that we rediscovered this restaurant and plan to return soon!

I’ve been here about half a dozen times and always order the Mixed Tempura dinner or Beef Teriyaki and Mixed Tempura combo dinner and have yet to be disappointed. Meal is always served hot and tastes fresh. Meal portions are great so my advice, come with an appetite. My dinner tonight was complete with a scoop of green tea ice cream, YUM! Service tonight was with Jocelyn. Don’t know what got into me, but I was extra thirsty. Jocelyn’s service and deligence in refilling my water without having to ask was great. She was nice and greets customers with a friendly smile. Will definitely be back to enjoy on my next cheat day!
