Pretty decent Hotel based catering and restaurant. Café caters to small and large groups and is well organized. Food is good quality and decent. Service is very good so I would recommend for your next outing at Loews Coronado Bay Resort.

Low key searched«The Market Kitchen Nightmares Gordon Ramsy» on Google after eating here. Had dinner here and it was terrible. The flatbread was doughy and soft and pasta was stale and most likely from a can. Also, food is super expensive here. I would guess double what you would pay outside the hotel area. Two stars for decent service.

I was at the Loews Hotel/Resort for a conference. The last meeting was a discussion held at the Market Café. I didn’t actually eat any of the entrees(had the free bread and water hehe) but the servers were all very nice and on point. They have two back rooms that could serve for more private meetings(but you’ll have to walk through one to get to the other). There was a front patio area that overlooks where the boats are docked. and it seemed kind of a cute place. Prices were definitely on the higher side for the entrees(average about $ 20 per dish). None of the menu items sounded all that fabulous that I wanted to dine there(especially for the prices listed) but if you’re at the resort. and wanting to sit down and eat. it’ll do it’s job. The servers were just super nice. so I wanted to comment about them. Menu seems to rotate. If I ever stayed here. I might consider dining here since there’s not much else around.

It’s been a few years, since we experienced the Sunday brunch at this hotel. This used to be one of our favorite places to go for brunch as the spread was elaborate and so filling. This time I felt like I was at a deluxe continental breakfast. With the highlight being the made to order omelet station. Light and bright in décor. Spectacular marina views and the friendliest, most attentive service you will find at a hotel brunch buffet but the food options were just average. If I were a guest I would opt for the brunch buffet for its convenience but to go out of my way to dine I probably won’t choose this as a Sunday brunch spot.

Was staying at the Loew’s resort for a conference. Few lunch options on site. Not impressed with this place. Overpriced for the quality and portion size. Buttermilk coated calamari very disappointing. Bruschetta was only ok and had only 4 pieces of small toast for $ 12. Heard good things about breakfast. Very limited menu IMO.

Nice breakfast buffet. We were on our way to get a fresh juice creation from Market To Go when the buffet sign jumped out at us from the Market. Oh you got me… It’s a bright and clean dining area with plenty of seating. The buffet includes items such as breads, pastries, fruit, meats, frittata and chilaquiles. An omelet station is also around to the left. Our waitress informed us they will prepare eggs any way you like as well. The items were all fresh and well prepared. It was my first time enjoying chilaquiles. Im pretty sure we both enjoyed them since we had a second serving of them. The egg white frittata was ok but could have been better with more tasty filling. The French toast was cut into smaller triangles which was perfect so you don’t have a huge piece taking up your plate. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. Service remained well throughout our breakfast. I wouldn’t mind stopping in again but as far as calories go, I should’ve just had the juice.

Hard to go anywhere in Coronado without a car, so we just ate at the hotel. The breakfasts were pretty tasty but didn’t knock my socks off. I tried the omelet, the crab cake benedict, the steak and eggs, and the french toast. The french toast with bananas and walnuts was probably the best tasting! The steak and eggs were also pretty good but the potatoes, although pretty tasty(and salty) were very brownish looking. :/ The 3 stars would be for their breakfast buffet. Although the omelet was pretty good, everything else was substandard for hotel breakfast buffets. The scrambled eggs were very pale — even if they are powdered they usually look more yellow than that! I did not want to try them. The bacon was just decent but the sausage was good. All in all, I really really love breakfast buffets but this one left quite a bit to be desired, especially for the $ 25 price. The next day I decided to just get a regular breakfast(and I repeat, I LOVE breakfast buffets), so that kind of shows how good it was.

Came here for dinner since Mistral was closed that night. We ordered a steak burger w/fries and the daily Monday special which was a meatloaf. Meatloaf was okay by itself, but it tasted much better when we poured the chipotle ketchup over it. The meatloaf also came with a side of mashed potatoes and veggies. Overall, the food was decent, but not memorable.

The breakfast buffet only occurs on weekends. At that time you can optionally order off the menu, but the menu alone is available weekdays. The breakfast buffet($ 24) was good. There was a good selection of food both healthy and unhealthy. The fruit was good, the eggs cooked well, the bacon crispy though a bit fatty, and there was a good selection of muffins. The food was all breakfast — no lunch/brunch items. The service was attentive for simply refilling drinks and the waiters were friendly. The weekday that I went and had to order off the menu I made my own omelet($ 14) with the max allowed 3 toppings. I chose chorizo as one of them and received 6 circular pieces of chorizo sliced sausage in my omelette. It would have been better chopped up so it was more throughout each bite of the omelette. The omelette was cooked well however. It is served with a choice of bread or English muffin as well as a choice of fruit bowl or hash browns. An assortment of individual jars of jam sit on the table. All in all the food was fine, but nothing to write home about. No wow factor here at all. The patio seating is nice, but expected. This restaurant is located off the lobby just to the right of the main entrance doors as you approach them. To the right of the Market Café is the Market to go which is open 24⁄7. This restaurant is located on the Loews Coronado Bay Resort property. There is a nice patio and nice marina view. So expensive and so disappointing. The Strawberry Patch salad was gross, and so was the Caesar, and it didn’t even have all the ingredients that it claimed. I don’t know how salads could be bad. Also, I wish there were vegetarian options other than salad.

I am gluten intolerant and the hotel/conf I was attending couldn’t really accommodate so I went I to the Market and got a quinoa salad for $ 5. Alittle pricey but I’m happy to have something to eat that is healthy. And it was really good too. The workers were happy and friendly. I will be back.

Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. No complaints. The food was really good. I had the honey chicken. The hot wings were really tasty too. Simple diner — like setup with a surprisingly varied menu. Had dinner again there last night. The prime rib was outstanding and the grilled cheese was a hit with the kids. Our server Art went above and beyond for us.

I’ve had a couple of buffets here with the fam. Nothing spectacular and pricey. The food sits there like most buffets, so not super fresh. The staff is nice enough and like most staff in the property know how to treat its guests right. Dogs are welcome in the patio but you have to walk around the property to your table which we found to be a silly rule.(no doubt this is more of a government rule and have nothing to do with the resort, since this property is pretty dog friendly otherwise)

Lack of understanding on how to deal with situations. Had breakfast here this am. Order an omelette from Buffett and they were out of eggs. Said to come back and we had already placed an order. Came back now long line. Told server situation and was going to be handled. All and all back and forth 30 minutes later we had an omelette. This overall is not a big deal but lack of understanding is the deal. Told manager or someone i thought was and then staff openly talks about it and I watch how they chat about it. Our server never filled our drinks. Had to ask other servers to do it. We pay for this service and my company pays lots of money to lowes hotels and places like this. The point is not that we do lots of business the point is that this staff should be aware if we wanted mediocre service /open discussion of their issues, we could of went anywhere. No apologies or discounts were offered at all. Customers are hard to deal with in my business and the restaurant business but that is part of the deal. Learn how to deal with this properly next time.

We were seated quickly and the service was excellent. The restaurant is right on the water with a fresh, bright and happy atmosphere and décor. We ordered the banana French toast and a banana split which were both delicious and very fresh. Resort pricey so you may expect a culinary experience but shouldn’t. Not jaw dropping yummy but good eats. :)

We were here last weekend. Not only did we enjoy orders to go but we also dined outside at location on Saturday. The breakfast was delicious and very friendly staff. Our view of the marina was beautiful. Lots of selection, more of a casual place to dine. They offer a breakfast buffet as well which looked delish! I like that they offer healthy plates as well as the normal breakfast items. Very accommodating. Will defiantly be back. No complaints.

$ 21 for brunch. Take the drive to the more spacious and beautiful Hotel del Coronado Sheerwater or downtown part of Coronado. You have the beaches and better food for the price.

Went here for Sunday brunch with the family on 3⁄3. The weather was perfect so we chose to sit out on the patio. Great view of the boats docked. Service: we were seated right away. However, it took a little while to et our server to take our drink orders. But he was very nice. The guy at the omelette station was also really good. My mother wanted just a veggie stir fry and he accommodated her. Food: we opted for the buffet(I should have ordered from the menu). The buffet selection was fair and nothing spectacular. It had the basics. Would have loved eggs Benedict or something else to e thrown in there. Would have also liked a self serve juice bar. Took too long for waiter to bring juice and he didn’t even offer a refill All in all, a decent place to grab breakfast. But nothing spectacular about it.

For a hotel restaurant, this is an OK place. It’s expensive for what it is, but it’s not bad. We came here one nice post conference set-up, just to relax and catch a bite, and then again for breakfast the next morning. My dinner was a piece of halibut with arugula and hen of the woods mushrooms. I love hen of the woods mushroom, but these… honestly didn’t taste to me much like actual hen of the woods mushrooms. The halibut itself was good, although not as good as what I can get in Seattle, and had a very light seasoned crust. All in all, tasty, but really nothing mind blowing. A little pricey, as halibut always seems to be. Breakfast was a buffet. Price comparable to the individual items I could have selected from the menu, and included coffee and juice, which was nice. Several people had decent omelettes, I stick with fruit and cereal… so I didn’t get my money’s worth, but whatever. I like that sort of thing. A couple other notes — when we arrived on Sunday, we tried to get a late lunch here, only to find that they were still only serving champagne brunch for $ 38. Uh, no thanks. And secondly, they have«lobster corndogs» which are basically chunks of lobster tail, drizzled in butter and fried in a sweet cornmeal batter. Not bad, but pretty much everyone agreed that they’d rather just eat that much lobster. Service at dinner was a bit slow, and it was all a little pricey, as I mentioned. To be totally honest, while it wasn’t bad, I think you could do better for less money nearby. The question is whether or not you’ve got a car, as a cab or shuttle might add more expense or inconvenience.

Wow. A two-and-a-half hour lunch, with no explanations and no apologies. And you still bill yourself as a «conference hotel?» I don’t think so. For the past several years, I’ve attended a winter convention down in Coronado. The weather is usually great, and downtown Coronado has some real gems, but when you’re stuck in the hotel for work with no time to cab it in, you end up with lunch at the Market Café. I suppose, that is, if you’re lucky. I was late to join my group of five at the café, and settled in to my seat around 12:45(the rest of my party was seated at 12:15). They had put in an order for me, but as 1:15 rolled around we worried that our server had forgotten us, and asked another wait-person about our food. I think it was about 1:25 that we were served. The food was okay. I had the fish tacos, which would have been fine had the fish not been ridiculously overcooked. I also only«kind of» get that the tiny side of guacamole costs extra. At nearly $ 14 for 3 tacos, I think a little avocado should be included. As we watched the restaurant clear out, we anxiously awaited our check. Our server did come back to help clear the table(circa 2:15), and when we asked for the bill said he’d, «be right back.» Uffda. We got up to go to the host stand at 2:30, at which point he came out of the back with our checks. Again, no apologies, no explanation. So here’s a tip, Loew’s: when you’re hosting a conference where people have limited breaks, make sure to serve a snappy lunch. I can deal with hotel food, but not when it’s served under these conditions.
