Cutting Crew

I haven’t been back in a while because the girls keep changing but went in recently. Manager Jess was really great; great haircut and treated me professionally. I recommend Jess… worth trying again.

Review is based on service from a year and a half ago, but as I’m STILL having to dye my hair to cover up the awful, brassy highlights I had done here I thought I’d issue a warning.
I’d been here plenty of times for a trim here and there and once before for highlights and everything was fine (relatively inexpensive and you didn’t have to book an appointment well in advance). On this occasion I was getting a trim when the topic of highlights came up and on a whim I went for it.
I had a middle aged baldish man and it quickly became clear he had NO idea what he was doing (literally had me holding my hair up in pieces at the sink while he washed some foils out because he was slow and they were in too long. Then made such a tangled mess that he asked me to brush my own hair out because he couldn’t).
As this is happening I’m panicking but it’s too late to turn back, so I ask him if they’ll tone it if it comes out too light. Instead of assuring me he’d fix it he had to ask (one of the multiple women who walked by, saw this happening and said nothing. The only one I know by name was Wendy. They should be ashamed too).
He came back with someone to look at the mess he made and she said she would recommend toning it. So he did. Which took it from bright orange to a slightly darker orange. They charged me for the toner (plus for having long hair. Plus for having toner on long hair). I paid. And I tipped him. Which is something I’ve regretted for a year and a half probably once a week while I’m doing my hair because it’s still not normal (I dye it darker and eventually the brassiness shows through. It’s gone in the front at least because I cut most of it off).
Anyway, if that guy is still there avoid him. And in general I don’t know how there could be other people working there who let that happen.

I can’t really say if they are good or not with hair services but they are extremely bad and unfair with customers. My fiancé’s very expensive designer glasses were stolen there by their «regular» customer while he had his hair washed. Despite the fact that they told him he knew who she was — they told they knew nothing to police when they were investigating. Beware of their tricks and your valuables at this place.
