Great old school bakery. Pizza strips corners are crispy and crunchy. Not greasy. Breads always fresh. Best part is they are open 24 hours. If front door is locked just go around to wholesale entrance. Variety of breads and buns.

A dollar seventy five for a pizza strip? The pricing in this place is ridiculous. Forget about a slice of cheese pizza. I’ll pass and drive Jeanette’s. Have a nice day Superior bakery.

Their food offerings are top notch and always super fresh. Especially the pizza slices. However, the older lady in there is rude and you definitely have to watch her when she is ringing you up. I am not sure if it is just an honest mistake or what, but more than once I’ve had to have her go thru the charges with me because I know 2 slices and a loaf should not cost $ 17.

The bakery is always packed! Tons of pizza, bread, dough and more! I always go here to get dough and pizza shells. The only thing I was very surprised. One of the staff members isn’t very friendly. I was buying dough and asked how much would a bag make for a pizza and was told«it depends how big you make the pizza» the attitude from this women is always rude. Though the business itself is always clean an full of good food.

So most people are familiar with Superior Bakery from purchasing goods at their local markets but I urge you to visit their actual establishment! I have been eating their party pizza since I was old enough to stuff it in my mouth. It is just as good today as it was then! It is timeless! I buy their«party» pizza and it is always a hit wherever I bring it. It is the pizza strips with JUST red sauce. There are never any pieces to wrap up and save for the next day! They also sell rolls, bread, calzones, and pizza with toppings. I really need to try the calzones and pizza with toppings one of these days!

Superior Bakery is a well-known purveyor of the rolls that you see at the big box grocery stores and such. I knew that their headquarters were located in Cranston, but I didn’t realize that they had a retail shop until I moved to the West Bay about ten years ago. I have frequented their store ever since — I am long overdue in giving them the props they deserve. Like I mentioned above, the bagged rolls are their«thing». But — if you step into their retail store they have a wide assortment of hard and soft loaves and rolls that you can buy individually. They will even slice to order with the larger loaves. My fave part of this little shop is the assortment of slices with yummy toppings that can be purchased and heated to order — not to mention the calzones. Eggplant parmesan, buffalo chicken, white pizza and the classic ‘roni to name a few of the tasty toppings. You can order up a party pizza(red sauce — with or without cheese) for your next event — OR get a hot pizza to order for the nights when cooking up dinner is not your thing. The sauce on the pizza is flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The crust is the thick, pan style variety but oh-so good. It is crispy underneath and the edges are done to perfection — I will sometimes start with the crispy out crust first when enjoying my slice! Service is not always with a smile, but they get the job done. They are polite and never make you wait. It tops my list of places to grab a quick tasty bite to eat.

Superior lived up to it’s name with their pizza strips for sure. The white, the red & the bacon were out of this world, amen!

I just wanted a few pizza strips for a snack and was in the neighborhood. Normally I would go to Calvitto’s but I didn’t have time to go over there. The strips were $ 1.69 each, which is way overpriced. They were ok, but definitely didn’t live up to the quality(or value) of Calvitto’s.

I know people in Rhode Island are very picky about their bakery, I am the most picky and I love Superior. Their Italian bread is the best in town, don’t get it sliced wait to slice it until you are ready to eat it. Also, their pizza is the best bakery pizza going, accept no substitute. You will not be disappointed.
