This was my first time here(7÷12÷15) for Sunday brunch. The food is NOT that good. I’d strongly recommend another location for brunch.

Great food. I had the fried shrimp and my wife had the crab stuffed shrimp. All of it was very tasty and the service was great. The bathrooms could be better kept, but other than that no complaints.

We went for Sunday brunch and I was not disappointed. They had a large variety of foods. Waffles, omelets and so many other items. I tried the sushi and it was good. I also had a made to order omelet which was delicious. So many items to choose from and bottomless mimosas where great.

This used to be one of my favorite seafood places in the area and after tonight’s dinner I’m wondering how long will a place that once served delicious & flavor-filled entrée be around. Most of the dishes eaten tonight were bland and what looks to be an amazing dish is a big disappointment the end of the fork. It’s unclear what happen to cause major changes to the menu — but I hope they turn around soon or I know for sure I won’t be coming back here. Oh & one more thing they have flying nets

Tried this place out for my birthday dinner. The first impression wasnt great. The hostess was unpleasant. Didn’t say a word, with a scowl on her face, as if we had inconvenienced her. Waiter was a really nice kid who was obviously trying but kept forgetting things we asked for and disappeared for 15 minutes while we waited to get boxes and the bill. It was a slow night, so I didn’t really get it. The food was pretty good… but can’t get past that first impression. Hire friendlier teenaged girls to seat people please.

A last minute brunch decision. They have a buffet style brunch and it it was alright. Service was decent and everything for the most part was hot and fresh. I am not big on buffet’s but I really wanted brunch. I think it was about $ 22 per person and they have unlimited Mimosas for $ 10. The Buffet changes weekly but they had the basics bacon, sausage, eggs, french toast sticks, made to order waffles, Mac n cheese, ribs, mashed potatoes, sushi(below average lol) crab dip, a few other items. Just ok. Nothing terrible but nothing exciting.

Yup so it’s official, this place is still as good as I remember years ago. By far the best sushi and burger in Crofton MD. Service was on point today as well, despite a big party in the back my guest and I were well taken care off. I meant to take pictures but sometimes the food comes, and you nibble and then the food disappears… fat boy problems. Best part is Dylan(12 month who eats like a grown man) eats free with $ 20 spent. I recommend the sushi, smokehouse burger, fresh fruit, and crab balls. I did snag a pic of the promotions menu for you guys tho… yes I’m trying to redeem myself

This has been my go-to spot for at least 7 years! I’ve NEVER been disappointed with the food, service or restaurant cleanliness! I’ve been here for their amazing happy hour specials during the week and on the weekend. I’ve been here for brunch, which I might add is AMAZING! — and for countless dinners(pre-Yelping days), so I decided to finally give Big Fish it’s props. I came in for a quick bite around 5ish with my homie after a day of shopping in Crofton. We sat at the bar(because that’s what homies do) and decided to catch a bit of the football game. We were immediately greeted by a lovely hostess, but opted to sit at the bar. I ordered the broiled crab cakes(appetizer) and a large house salad. My homie ordered the lettuce wraps and the swordfish. The salad with mango balsamic dressing was so delicious that I woofed it down before thinking to take a pic YUM! The crabcakes were delicious! By far the best in the Crofton area! The lettuce wraps were devoured before I could snap a pic and the swordfish dinner was boxed to go! We had way too much good food in and out(to go box) of our bellies! Oh and the service was OUTSTANDING as usual!

Love this place as a casual night out with the girls or for Sunday brunch with the family. The cream of crab soup and the Baltimore style steamed shrimp are filled with flavor as they are seasoned with Obay and onions. Sunday brunch begins at 11 a.m. We love the waffles, made to order omelets and the crab balls.

Great service! Great comfort food. We were visiting town and just driving through– stopped here for dinner. Loved the spicy ahi tuna tacos & the Bangkok shrimp was super yummy too. All and all, we were very pleased. Also, the rich crab chowder was buttery and awesome.

We had the Three for twenty seven appetizers of stuffed mushrooms, baha shrimp and calamari. They were all excellent. The Blue Moon was cold but orange had been sitting around for a bit. Great stop after a long plane ride. 10÷5÷15 Visiting again this weekend, yet another great 3 for 27(calamari, steak and chicken skewers, and shrimp) along with flat bread and Big fish roll. All was excellent!!! The waiter, Paul gave us a tasting of the pumpkin beer and we went with the Curious Traveler. We had a great meal!!! 10÷11÷15

I’m hoping we came on a bad day. Hopefully this is not how things are usually done. Service was horrible. To be fair, there was a party of 50 or so in their private room. But also to be fair, if you know you have a party of 50 ordering food off the menu you staff accordingly. Food was fair at best. Got the chicken sandwich with bacon. Ice cold. French fries. Two orders cold. Third order was just greasy like they tried to reheat an old order. Two members of my lunch party had the classic burger. Both were ordered medium and both were well done. Fried shrimp basket was cold. No lemon as asked for. Forgot the side salad. Asked twice and it finally arrived as we finished. Forgot the kids milks. Asked 3 times. Finally came. I wanted to give this place a shot. Not sure if I will ever come back.

This review is in reference to their food & service during major holidays: I usually love Big Fish, but just can’t because of how congested they are & trying to get reservations for a family of around 10 is like pulling teeth. Then they always want to say that you have a maximum of like an hour and a half… if I spend money at an established then that is rude & crazy. Their food quality lowers during holidays, some things great & some things not good. I recommend staying away during holidays.

Our table had some ants, the food was mediocre and about $ 25+ per plate. Don’t recommend

I’m glad you’re happy with your experience and that you guys are friends. I can only speak for my experience. Coming from church service and giving that place a try(my first time there), my experience was ruined by Alonzo’s attitude. The waitress even apologized to our table. Alonzo was very unprofessional. The guest tried to eat his fries right away but they were cold. At any other good place if a customer said their fries was cold they would bring another one out, HOT. Alonzo told the customer to read the menu and that they don’t replace food cooked to their standards. To me, that’s unprofessional. We are talking about FRIES! Next time you go, read the menu and see for yourself. That’s bad service!

Had a taste for seafood so, I decided to check out The Big Fish Grille. Went on a Saturday evening around 7 and was able to get in out rather quickly. The service was top notch and the food was great. The restaurant offers different promotions throughout the week. On Saturday, they offer half-priced bottles of wine! To begin the meal, I ordered the crab dip which came with a hot baguette. If you want to order another baguette, they will charge you $ 0.75 extra. The crab dip was tasty and had an ample amount of crab, but more cheese than crab… naturally of course. For the main dish, I ordered the Bangkok Shrimp Wrap. Was under the«lighter fare» section of the menu. The wrap was excellent and full of flavor. You have the option to get either fresh fruit or potato chips. In terms of the restaurant, it’s almost like an eclectic mix of casual and fine dining. The interior is bright and playful at the same time. If you see soy sauce on the table, don’t be alarmed… there is sushi on the menu. So, you have all sorts of options to choose from to include, comfort food, sushi, seafood, a great mix of desserts, burgers, numerous appertizers, and salads as well. I thought the prices were on the high side, but most of the items include some sort of seafood which is naturally higher in price difference. That would be my only complaint about my experience. I believe the least expensive item on the menu was the Margherita flat bread at $ 9.95. Other than that, I had a great experience and will definitely return!

They made some mistakes tonight, but made up for them. We had a party of 8 total(including 2 babies) and service was at a good pace and overall good. Our server wasn’t very sociable, but was by no means rude. I had the«light fare» seared ahi tuna tacos, but it was definitely enough for a guy my size(over 200 lbs.). I also added the Bangkok shrimp, but had to wrap it up. Good flavor, good food, and nice atmosphere. Good job guys, keep it up!

After returning to Unilocal after a 40-day hiatus from Lent 2015, I am honored to bestow my first review to the Big Fish Grille. I came here last week for my moms birthday and it was sooooo good! I made reservations online, so as soon as we came in, we were seated instantly. Our waiter was really sweet and hospitable. We were actually originally planning on going to Jerry’s seafood in Bowie, but opted for BFG because of the prices and variety of menu options. Great choice for us, because soup(or salad) was included with our meal, and Jerry’s apparently charged extra for that. My boyfriend and I ordered the Maryland crab soup and omggggg — it was literally the best cream of crab I’ve ever had in life. I ordered the crab stuffed shrimp(which really wasn’t all that ‘stuffed’) but it was bomb. The portions were favorable as well. After three entrees and a speciality drink, we only paid $ 76(before tip). It was a steal! I definitely can’t wait to come back. PS –everything is made to order, so no, you’re not going to get what you want in 5 min. – but if you MUST have your food asap, I suggest you go to Red Lobster. Otherwise, if you want fresh, savory seafood, come to Big Fish!

I use to come to this location when it was The Dough Roller way back in the day. I was a bit disturbed that they closed it and put the Big Fish here, so I never bothered to give it a try. You could say I was a little salty… that was a favorite breakfast restaurant of mine. Since I’ve heard such positive things about this place and I pass it on a regular basis, I decided to meet up with the homie for happy hour. I’ve clearly been living under a rock because this is an awesome happy hour! Daily happy hour is 3 – 7 and you can seat yourself either at the bar, the long bar tables(great for groups) or the surrounding tables near the bar. Drink specials vary daily and the food specials are awesome. You can order any 5 full size appetizers from the menu for $ 40 or 3 full appetizers for $ 27.(Excluding the mini crab cakes and lobster tails) Either way, it’s a great price. Since it was my first time there, we went for the gusto and ordered the stuffed shrimp, crab dip, calamari, Bangkok shrimp and the Shrimp spring rolls. The stuffed mushrooms and crab dip were phenomenal! Wasn’t a big fan of the spring rolls and the others were just ok. Friday was ½ off wine by the glass, so of course I ordered some wine. It was a great experience and I’m sure to venture back to check out some other items on the menu. Don’t be surprised if the parking lot is full, because this place stays busy. Park on the street behind the restaurant.

First off if you go here get Kara as your waitress. She is awesome. The first time I went there Kara was our waitress and the service was so good we went back a few nights later. I will get to that service later. The food was great and the drink specials were at a very reasonable price. On to the second trip to this restaurant. Coming in from our first experience we thought we would get the same service. This time we had Tiffany. Plain and simple it was night and day as far as who took pride in their job and actually were there for the customer. I asked for an appetizer and never received it but magically it stilled showed up on the bill. Also I had to remind her that we never got any bread as I saw so many other tables enjoying. True I could have reminded her but how many times do you have to be reminded to do your job? I never caught her name but I would like to thank another waitress who refilled our drinks, got extra napkins, and brought us condiments to our table. One drawback and I was told it was do to the hvac being fixed is there is a good amount of some flying bug that look like gnats in the restaurant. Be prepared to do some swatting unless you like sharing your food with insects. I was going to post a picture of the winged patrons but I hope my words get the point across. Overall the food is good and some of the staff go beyond to see you have an enjoyable experience to cover up the issues that management really needs to address. First night 5 stars second night 2.
