First let me give you some advice, look on Localflavor dot com or groupon for deals for this place. With that said we scored a $ 20 for $ 40 worth of food for this place, thus a 3 star rating. It’s small inside and quite cramped. We are a family of 4 and was seated immediately. However, we had to wait till the server was out of the way to pass by to get to our table. The bathrooms are very small and no changing tables(for those mommas who need them). Our waitress was Carrie Lee or something like that. She was nice and took our drink order. Once the drinks were brought out to us she disappeared and another waitress came by and said she was working together with our first waitress. No name introduction nor a hi I’m working with so and so. Just a «are you ready to order?» This kind of left us feeling a tad confused. Food was good, but a bit pricey. My son ordered the pita pizza with fries. Not worth the $ 7 in my opinion. But what are u gonna do? My 12 yo ordered a Justin thyme burger with cheese($ 13) and fries and onion rings. Burger was cooked well and fries were steak fries. Hubby ordered the fish and chips($ 20) and enjoyed it. I ordered the Mediterranean veggie wrap with fries and onion rings($ 15). Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Now let’s talk service. Our first waitress was attentive and filled our water carafe twice prior to the meal coming out. However once our food arrived, neither of them stopped to check on us to see if we needed anything. My son ran out of his milk, we ran out of water, needed more ketchup, but no one stopped by. With that said, I wouldn’t go back there, but I’m glad I saved some money by buying the discount on . If you’ve been eyeing it out, try it once, who knows everyone’s visit it different.

Every now and again, you’re guided by voices of reason in the direction of a hidden gem for an exceptional experience. Justin Thyme produced one of those moments. Having recently heard about some high-caliber martinis from said establishment, I figured it’d be best to make my way down Rte. 9 and see what all the fuss was about. On this occasion, however, there’d be no martinis for me(c’mon now, I was driving — don’t forget responsibility, Unilocalers!). Instead, I opted for the Lamb Burger, and it didn’t disappoint. It was cooked to my liking, as each bite of the crispy exterior of meat yielded a complement of tender lamb inside, along with gorgonzola butter and garlic coming together in culinary harmony; outstanding! The only thing that topped how elated my tastebuds were, was the top-notch service. Owner Scott was engaging, making sure each table(I elected to sit outside in the nice weather) had everything that they needed and that expectations were met or exceeded. All staff members were attentive without being overbearing; something that I greatly appreciate and take into account when determining the quality of my overall experience. The moral of the story is: if you’re anywhere near Croton-on-Hudson and your system requires a reboot fueled by a fine piece of meat, my suggestion is that you stop on over to Justin Thyme, as you will be glad that you did.

My girlfriend and I had such a nice meal here. We stopped in for dinner on Saturday night and were really glad we did. She ordered the shrimp scampi with rice pilaf and I had the Chicken Chorizo pasta. Full disclosure; I’ve been here a few times and I never order anything else,… Because it’s freaking amazing. Seriously, order this! We had our food served with the house Riesling for her and a tall frosty Franziskaner Weissbeir.(Think La Fin Du Monde but with a lower abv) Both drinks were served correctly and delicious. Larger groups occasionally have to wait a bit to be seated, which is normal, but come as a couple and they will find space for you. Lovely ambiance, refreshing drinks, and good food. What’s not to love?

I’m sorry to say that we came here for lunch with another couple and everyone was underwhelmed with their food. It was fresh enough but flavors were either bland or just off. Service was good and they have a cozy atmosphere.

Always cold. Complex relation. Food staff is average but food can be amazing or okay. Never bad.

Been coming here for years and it’s always consistently good. Anything made with the buttermilk fried chicken is amazing. Buffalo chicken sandwich/wrap are the best around. Service is friendly and the head chef always makes the rounds to check on customers and say hi. It’s a nice touch that few places have now a days. Large menu with something for everyone. Great local joint. Also — homemade bloody Mary’s are delicious.

I thought the food was great here. The only drawback was the outdoor seating was in full sunlight, could use some more potted plants for shade.

Found this place on Unilocal searching for somewhere to eat after taking the kids to the Blaze jack o lantern show nearby. I ordered the broiled cod which was served in a white wine and butter sauce with string beans and rice pilaf. The dish was very good. Kids had fish sticks, chicken fingers and hamburgers. All came with steak fries or Apple wedges. Everything was fresh and well prepared. However the fish sticks and chicken fingers came out dark brown which suggested the cooking oil needed to be changed. We sat a few minutes before 9p when the kitchen closed so perhaps that was part of it. Not overcooked at all, but the burnt oil took away from the flavor of the breading on both dishes. I had a pumpkin ale on tap which was also very good. We sat in a back room which could use a bit more décor but all in all it was an enjoyable night w very good food and attentive wait staff.

Good location(near picturesque hiking), attractive outdoor seating, nice indoor space. Notable for: — Tasty, creative food. Try the Sonoma(turkey) burger. — Attentive chef/owner. In both our visits, we’ve seen him ask patrons how everything is. — NFL Red Zone on 2 TVs. On one Sunday we went, two other restaurants in Croton were deserted, but Justin Thyme was bustling. Strong wifi would be nice, though, since data network signal in the area can be weak. Afterwards, you can get gourmet ice cream at the nearby Blue Pig.

Great atmosphere! outside and inside dining. Nachos were to die for! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We drove along way but it was worth it. Can’t wait to go back during the pumpkin blaze.

The pulled pork taco was absolutely delicious. I loved that they put coleslaw in it too. Add some sweet potato fries and it was the best meal I’ve had out in ages.

If you can’t find something on this menu that you like then there’s something wrong. They do everything on the menu well. The service is fantastic.

Love this place. I always forget how great it is. Tonight was no exception. We shared the shrimp cocktail to start — 6 large, delicious shrimp with an excellent cocktail sauce. I then had the lobster roll which was excellent — a generous portion mixed with celery and very fresh. My husband had the marinated sirloin steak sandwich, which was equally good. Our waitress was busy but attentive and the entire experience was wonderful.

Food was really delicious and portions generous. My only complaint is that the atmosphere could have been a little better

Justin Thyme is our go to restaurant. Consistently good, friendly device and love the apple margaritas. Outdoor seating in the summer time and really good Thai curry sauce with mussels for starters.

Great food, great drinks. Nice, low light atmosphere. Everything is decently priced and the portion sizes are larger than what you’d expect. Since it’s on the smaller side everything tends to be just a little cramped and therefore louder when it’s busy.

Pretty good food. Some of the items seem over priced but ive rarely been disappointed. The burger is above average. The appetizers are pretty good. Nice spot to grab a beer and a burger. The service is average. The ambiance is nice but a little pretentious.

An awesome neighborhood spot that I wish was down the road from my house. Great atmosphere, awesome pub fare, and nice vibe. The owner is a great guy too and his culinary chops and lineage shine through! If the Kung Pao calamari is on the special list, GETIT, or two, like we did!

I’m updating my review after giving Justin Thyme another chance. I hadn’t been here in years but recently decided to give them another shot after feeling tired of eating at the same old places in town. We ordered the Sweet Potato fries with marshmallow sauce for the kids and they ate it up, followed by the Buttermilk Chicken Breasts as an appetizer. There were five sizable pieces of chicken breast and the kids loved it. I ordered my old stand-by — the chicken teriyaki sandwich — which is no longer on the menu, but which the waitress told me they’d be happy to make. I chose to go with the onion rings instead of fries and was pleased with my decision. The sandwich was delicious, with stacks of sliced chicken breasts, mozzarella cheese and teriyaki dipping sauce. The deep-fried(not beer-battered) onion rings were about as perfect as onion rings can get. I’m glad I gave JT a clean slate because it’s become a favorite spot for my family once again. The prices are still a little high, but I’m willing to pay a premium for a consistently good dining experience.
