The Judge, veggie Burger is AWESOME! Not too many spots that serve an awesome veggie burger in the OC. The Mac n Cheese was better than I expected-just needs more cheese.

After coming back a couple times, I’ve got to bump up the rating to a 5. I’ve eaten burgers from fast food places like Carl’s Jr and In-N-Out in between my visits to Outlaw Burger, and I’ve come to truly appreciate the quality of this place. At first, I thought this place was expensive, but the $ 5 student combo is a steal for the burger they serve! The classic cheeseburger comes out picture-perfect every time. The service was awesome as always, friendly and open to conversation if there’s no other customer to tend to. I was also able to try the onion rings today(you can ask to substitute the fries in a combo meal for an extra dollar charge). The batter had a great crunch. And unlike most places where it’s just really salty, Outlaw uses a similar seasoning as their fries. It’s a tough choice between their fries or onion rings. I’ll probably have to alternate them each visit, or bring a friend to share both.

Came here tonite with my parents as they’ve been raving to me about it for the last couple months. I wasn’t expecting too much, but I was blown away with how awesome it is! When we walked in we were immediately welcomed with a sample of chili. I’m not really a chili guy, but honestly it was the best chili I think I’ve ever had. I ended up going for The Judge combo, which is their black bean veggie patty. It was really good, the crust on the patty was perfect. For a side I had a cup of chili, it was too good to pass up. I sampled a bite of my parents food which was a Vulture burger and some burger that had chili and Fritos on it. They were both great as well. The onion rings were also very good. The layout and atmosphere of this place makes me feel like I’m at a backyard bbq, it’s pretty cool. The décor is very thrown together and looks hand built in someone’s backyard. I like that, no fancy tables and chairs here. The people who work here are very warm and friendly and checked on us several times to make sure everything was good. I really hope this place makes it and becomes a staple of Cypress eating. I throughly enjoyed this place, I just wish there was one closer to my house.

Very good looks like they worked the kinks out since my last time. Upon entering there was no one in sight I was kinda just standing at the register looking around for someone to take my order then someone notices I’m standing there and helps out. I had a question about the Bandito so he asked the cook to give me a sample of the chili and it was pretty good so I went with that and made it a combo. Burger came and I couldn’t wait to dig in it came with garlic fries and a fountain drink. All was good burger was cooked perfectly along with my chili and I could taste the onions and tomatoes in the background, the bread looked like a buttered gourmet bun all in all the food was really good and I appreciate the guy there who I think is the owner for the advise on what to get. I defintely will come back again… they also have a kids menu so that’s a plus for me with little ones. Come out and support your local small business here and don’t forget to tip you’ll see why on the tip jar.

The only redeeming thing about this place was the cool pics on the wall. The food was subpar. Onion rings and fries were over cooked. I couldn’t even finish it was so bad. Way too much onion on the burger. Don’t waste your money

Made our first visit Sunday the 24th of November and thought the food was very good. The burgers were tasty and the Ringos(onion rings) were some of the best I have had in a while. The fries are also good, but be aware 3 – 4 people can share an order of them and not go hungry. We will definitely be returning!!!

So I’m driving down Ball road and see this place on the south side of the street near Valleyview that caught my eye… Outlaw Burger. Pretty cool logo sign. This building used to be Del Taco, then a Green Burrito, then a Mex place, and now a neat burger placs. The service is good. I’d say good customer service manners… they answered every questions the foodie group could throw at em. Now for the best part… FOOD Lets start with the 5150 burger. Burger with bacon and peanut butter jelly. Now that may sound crazy(ha ha) hence the code. Anyways it taste great. Then there is The Sheriff burger. Burger with fried egg, bacon, and Wrangler sauce. Then the Dirty Sheriff… same as above but with chili… both excellent. Look for the daily specials… A must do for the foodie followers.

I discovered this place one day while driving down the street and attempting to visit Green Burrito(which used to sit in this spot). To my dismay Green Burrito went out of business and this place was sitting in its spot(not yet opened). Several months passed by and we decided to give the place a try despite the many negative and low scored reviews they had been receiving and we are glad we did. Upon walking in we were promptly greeted by the gentleman working the front counter. He asked if it was our first visit with which we replied«yes». He quickly went over a brief description of how they prepare their burgers along with making a few suggestions on the menu. Most if not all of their burgers and fries are made using truffle oil which is new to me and quite unique(still on the fence on if I like this or not). After quickly perusing the menu I decided upon the Sheriff Burger combo which is has a fried egg on top along with lettuce, tomato, bacon, onion and thousand island dressing and came with fries(I substituted onion rings) and a drink. My wife had the Gunslinger Burger with mac n’ cheese on top of the patty and really seemed to enjoy hers as well. After filling our drinks and taking a seat at a nearby table, the server came to our table with samples of their chili for us to try(a nice touch and very tasty chili). Our food quickly followed and was gobbled up quickly as all of it was delicious. The combo I ordered mistakenly came with fries and when I told the server he quickly whipped up a batch of onion rings and told me to keep the fries as well… ok, no problem with me on that. The décor is this place is very rustic and cowboy oriented which is nice. They have horseshoes and various posters and pictures of old movies which is quite unique. The place also donates a portion of their proceeds monthly to a Pit Bull Rescue which is very cool. They also use the Spot On scanners here to accrue points with every visit which later can be used for free food which is cool and will definitely be used by me. Overall we had a very pleasant experience here, the service was great, the food was terrific and the prices were good. We will definitely be back soon to try some more of this delicious food. I really hope this place works out and becomes a long term tenant in this spot.

This is the place that took over what used to be Green Burrito off Ball. I’m pretty sure there was something else between Green Burrito and Outlaw Burger, but now I can’t remember. I kept forgetting about this place except for the times that my husband randomly mentioned this as an option of a few to go to. I usually passed, usually either because I didn’t feel like driving, or I figured it was just another regular burger place(and although I am a huge burger fan I figured I could just get something I’m nearby) and the«average» rating was a little of a deterrent, or put it towards my «later» list. Do not let them all deceive you. This place seems to have a mix of yummy reviews and a mix of bad reviews. I can only vouch for myself, but I personally really enjoyed it and wish that I hadn’t waited so long. My husband got the Sheriff Burger combo with onion rings. I think all burgers here come standard with cheese, «outlaw sauce»(thousand island with a few of their own adds), lettuce(the good romaine green kind, not the crispy water(iceburg)), tomato, and onions. On this particular burger it also came with a fried egg, bacon and truffle oil. If you aren’t a fan of truffle oil, which he isn’t, he said that everything masked it and it all tasted good. He got his without tomato as he is not a fan. My mother in law came as well and got the regular Cheeseburger combo but added bacon. I decided to be «gutsy» and try the Gunslinger burger combo. This had all the standard ingredients that I mentioned above, but with macaroni and cheese as well. Normally the thought of this always disgusted me for some reason and for another reason I decided«to hell with it» and wanted to try something new, and so I did. I asked for no onions as I am not a fan. I believe they are grilled for those of you who like onions. I am so glad that I did too, because it was SO delicious! Everything tasted tender, and full of flavor. Stuff spewed out of the bun, so it was definitely not dry. Mostly the macaroni and cheese spewed out which I ate with a fork on the parts that fell out. They give you a heaping amount of fresh fries also. They are cooked well and crispy like I like. It does come with truffle oil on those too. Most are not a fan. I don’t care either way. I didn’t like them at the Gaslamp but I did enjoy them here. You can probably ask for them without, which I may next time. My husband’s order came with fries instead of his onion rings, but the employee had no problem at all with correcting this mistake and let him keep the fries and they prepared the onion rings which also had the truffle oil mix. They were quite delicious, also cooked and crispy. I hate when fries and onion rings are soft and soggy/chewy. I hope others will enjoy this place as I did. I will be back for sure.

I have been stalking Outlaw Burger for a while. I was also a tad concerned about the reviews. After shoe shopping at Kohls we were hungry and I had visions of Outlaw burger dancing in my head and with my fingers crossed I hoped my husband would be equally excited to try this place and that they had a semi healthy option for his semi healthy diet these days. We walked in and were warmly greeted by 2 employees. One who introduced us to their top selling menu items. We were given samples of their chilli which is up there next to Tommies chilli if you know what I mean. Exept this one has some kick to it. And we had some sugary chips brought out for free. I had just made friends with a cow at a farm on a field trip earlier in the day so I opted for their chicken breast«Vulture burger». It was a thin chicken breast with swiss cheese, onion ring and lettuce minus the sauce on a very large toasted bun. The only way to make it better would be to add bacon. Everything tastes better with bacon. My husband had their spicy black bean burger with added bacon. Yes they do have a black bean burger, unlike what that other Unilocaler was lead to believe. My husband was very happy as he washed it down with iced green tea. The fries were thinly sliced and seasoned perfectly. However we had a fry overload and ended up bringing some home for later. I would like to come back and try their beef burgers once my cow friend is forgotten.

4 stars only for the breakfast sandwich. Got the egg bacon sandwich. Thick slices of crispy bacon, gooey egg and cheese in a soft toasted bun. Ohhh… sooo good. But very very very sinful tasting and the feeling afterwards was no bueno. So I can’t do it often. But if that is of no concern for you, and alls you want is some good morning eats, this place will hit the spot.

My wife and I just came from this place. We went through the drive through and got a Cowboy burger to go. It did take about 5 – 7 minutes for us to get our food with one car in front of us. Pretty standard I suppose, with them saying that they make their food fresh and that it will be worth it. And worth it, it was! We got home soon after and we chowed down. We had asked for it to be cut in half and when we split it, the cheese was perfectly melted; it looked like a scene from a Kraft grilled cheese commercial. At first bite, my eyes lit up immediately. It tasted pretty good! The sauce that they put in the Cowboy paired with everything and it rounded out pretty well. We liked that they put a leaf of lettuce instead of the shredded stuff you see at your local Mom and Pop burger joint. We’ll most definitely be back to sit down inside and have a combo or two!

Ladies and gentlemen, Outlaw Burger is a five star establishment without a doubt. It is new so maybe all the complainers tried it before they got the kinks worked out. It’s in the Starbucks and Stater Bros. parking lot; it used to be a Green Burrito. The food is amazing — the Sheriff burger was without a doubt one of the most flavorful burgers I’ve ever had. It has bacon, some great sauce, a fried egg, along with cheese, onions, and lettuce( ). We also got the Wild Bunch chili cheese fries( ). Their chili has chorizo in it and it has a little kick to it, so don’t expect regular boring chili — this stuff is goooood. It’s decorated all cute and Western inside, and the tables are really cool. This place definitely has a lot of character. The burgers are about $ 8 – 9 each if you get a combo, but you’re definitely paying for quality, people. This isn’t McDonalds. With a little more presentation these huge, gourmet burgers could easily be served at a sit-down restaurant, but instead they opted for a fast-food place with a drive-thru. Quality and convenience? I’ll take it. There are daily specials like Taco Tuesday and Wiener Wednesday, and they have a happy hour from 3 – 5(ANY burger and fries for $ 3.99). There’s a student discount, too. VERY helpful, polite, and friendly employees who are eager to answer questions and hand out samples to newbies. Go try it people. You’ll be back. PS They have a vegetarian burger called«The Judge» that isn’t on the regular menu but I saw it on a handout they had. It’s a chipotle black bean patty with grilled onions, arugula, and sliced cucumbers. Yum!

Seriously… are people here even objective? One person gives 1 star and says go to another burger place down the street? Yeah that’s not suspicious. Another says the Coke tastes like Pepsi. Seriously? It’s because THEYSERVEPEPSI! If you complain about the price of a burger place, go to McDonald’s. Mom and pop places have to charge more because their overhead is more than those places. If you cry because your food was cold when you got home… get your ass out of the car and order it in house and eat there. Carbonation hurts your throat and you expect restaurants to cater to 1 person out of thousands? They do… it’s called water. Have a glass. The food is fantastic. Found this place Tuesday, went back Thursday. The Sheriff Burger is great! Bacon is thick and cooked right, egg is fried perfectly. Bun is fresh and the fries are fantastic. Be objective when you walk in. Its a new place, still getting its footing. Service is friendly. To the«big guy» worried about the wooden benches, I’m a big guy too and those benches are just fine. If you’re worried about the chairs you sit on breaking… is not the restaurants fault.

One of the few times my experience at a fast food joint can be boiled down to a single word: Barf… Now, for the full review, I found it dark inside due to every single window is covered with a vinyl sign nearly as large as the window itself. Felt a bit claustrophobic and they repeated 2 ro 3 signs 3 or 4 times. Why not let some light in and put one of each sign on only 3 windows total? The wooden picnic tables are cheap and a big guy like me was just waiting for the bench seat to buckle, so not comfortable by any means. I order a burrito which is another funny thing because it’s called«Outlaw BURGER» and yet the first items on the menu board is BURRITOS. Wtf? Anyhow, I was hungry for a burrito anyway but then another funny thing happens: I order an «El Toro Combo Burrito» which is priced at $ 8.49, they ring it up without asking me if I want a drink, the total comes out to something like $ 6.50 and the cashier hands me a drink cup. I am not an easily confused person, but at this point I am confused. I take my change, receipt and fill my cup and sit down on the wooden bench that feels like it wants to break. As I wait, some dude comes barreling through the front door and in a very loud voice says, «DOYOUWANTTOTRYSOMECHILI?» I don’t know who this guy is, might be the owner but since he didn’t introduce himself… I said«no.» Now for the death blow, namely Barf inducing food. This«thing»(can’t call it a burrito in the traditional Mexican sense) had chopped red and green bell peppers, kidney beans(Hello?! Refried pintos, please!!) rice and dry chopped beef and a god-awful red sauce. When the woman at the counter asked how I liked it I said that it was not good. As I try to choke down the rest of my meal the loud guy(turns out he is the owner) is now loudly explaining the menu to a group of people and during this time a dad with two teenage daughters walks in then walks out. I ended up throwing the«burrito» in the trash and headed straight over to Walgreens to buy some ice cream to get the taste out of my mouth.

Pros: The fries had a hint of flavor w/o the chili which I thought was pretty good… garlic flavor I think. The fries were $ 3.99 so around $ 4. 30 including tax. Cons: HORRIBLE customer service… the lady thru the drive thru was like Yes what? I asked her nicely that I wanted the chili cheese fries, then she had the audacity to say rudely I might add, Come over here. I was like… wow. And to top it off, when she was handing me the fries she says, here take it! I had my 8 year old brother in the car, if I didn’t, I would have thrown the fries at her and demanded my money back… CRAPPYCUSTOMERSERVICE. –I think the fries they gave me where the old ones where it’s at the bottom of the pan that have been sitting out for a while… the fries where the ppl are contemplating whether to throw out and luckily they land themselves a customer to throw away the fries to. The fries I got were chili cheese fries and all of the fries were either tiny, super duper golden brown, or just brown. Also, not enough chili, DEFINITELY not enough cheese, and a dash of onion which I was not happy about since the ingredients listed were chili, cheese, and ONIONS. I expected more out of this place. :( –flavor of the chili cheese fries: the taste of the fries had that hint of garlic flavor which was pretty good but I thought it conflicted with the taste of the chili. I wouldn’t even call it chili, they just had clumped up ground beef and threw in some kidney beans with tomatoes. I think that was the worst chili I’ve ever tasted and I’ve eaten chili out of cans. All in all, I was not impressed. Yes MAYBE I’ll go back to try a burger BUT get your chili cheese fries elsewhere. I was craving fries and this place just happened to be nearby. I’m sad that Green Burrito is gone, OUTLAWBURGER you do NOT do Green Burrito the justice of that location!

I ordered the #1 Vaquero Burrito Combo: $ 8.09 I ordered a sprite. Once I pulled up, the lady gave me my drink. While I was waiting for the rest of my order, I started to sip on it and realized that it tasted like club soda. They must have ran out of sprite in the machine. No biggie, they gave me a coke instead. But heads up, it’s not a very big cup of soda. Breakfast burrito: I know ham and bacon are both pork, but it seemed like they used a lot of ham and not a lot of bacon. The description said bacon. There was cheese and TOOOMUCH of it. Wasn’t sure if I was having a breakfast burrito or a cheese burrito =\ It could use more of a kick so I used Del Taco’s Del Scorcho sauce. Chuckwagon fries: INTERESTING… Flavorful and different. Fries topped off with parm and cilantro. However, my fries were stale. I don’t think I will ever come here again… It was pretty pricey in my opinion. It’s a fast food place, so I’m not expected above and beyond, but for the price, it just didn’t cut it.

I wanted to like this place really I did, but there was just nothing special about the food here. The service is A-OK but nothing was special about my burger. Their chili tasted rather funky, very tomato forward and sweet. My husband also didn’t care for the chili. My husband was ok with his Vulture(chicken and ortega chile sandwich) but I was completely underwhelmed with the Outlaw burger. I am not a fan of big hunks of romaine lettuce with the tough middle rib left in.
