Popeyes Chicken

Just went through the drive through and grabbed dinner OMG. Popeyes food is high. almost $ 40 to feed two adults and two kids and three of us had tenders my wife had the shrimp and fish and now she is on the couch with nausea… Why do the La locations taste better? And why is the red beans and rice just mush and rice… I. Won’t be back

hate to dogpile but these problems are deeply rooted top to bottom. still spotted three stars for still having the same good tasting food for as long as I can remember, but take away two for everything else: Way overpriced firstly. 13 $ for one combo bc i asked for gravy but just 3 pc chicken tender combo! I go here every few weeks (update 11 – 15 rarely after last adventure) and always a problem. Sometimes I order & pay for a combo with fries and they forget the fries, or I’ll order a gravy and they charge me 1.99 for a tiny container that’s literally half full. Or they give me mild instead I spicy, ice when I want no ice, pretty much everything u can think of has happened, but the food is always good, crisp fries and fresh, just trust me and check ur bag b4 u leave! yes I know this happens everywhere eventually, but why would I waste my time writing this if it weren’t exceptionally bad here?! Plus always, check that, mostly always, rude or at least unfriendly. I say thanks and please and have a nice day they don’t say a word back not even a smile EVER, it’s ok I know it’s just business but they make u feel bad for coming there, like guilty about making them work, and they will not help u get what u want, it’s like pulling teeth to get what I want, like simply no ice. treat your employees better and you get better customer service!

Tried to give this place several chances to redeem themselves but they obviously don’t care. Won’t be wasting my time anymore.

ALWAYS disappointed with this location. I keep giving them another chance because they are right down the street from me but after this last visit. NEVER again! Its a Sunday evening and the place is empty, okay cool, that means no wait. So, I ordered a three piece combo, spicy… they were out of red beans and rice… okay fine… got fries instead. One piece of chicken was neither spicy or mild (completely bland) no seasoning at all! The other two pieces were barely mild, old, dry and chewy so was the fries… woke up at 3am with the runs… UGH…NEVER again!!!

The worst Popeyes in the Cypress area. All of the staff members are really rude. They have employees who barely understand English taking people’s orders. DO NOT BE RUDE BACK TO THE African American EMPLOYEES, THEY WILL SERVE YOU BAD FOOD! Besides on Tuesday’s, it’s hard to get fresh chicken and fries. This place also never has BBQ sauce. Do not waste your money at this Popeyes. Make the drive to the one by LoneStar College. Fresh food, friendly employees!

Noon on a Sunday. Fries were old and cold. Chicken was chewy and somewhat warm. Manager was way too non-​chalant about it. As if this is common practice. Delivered new food with, «is this fresh enough for you?» Didn’t order a side of attitude with my food.

I came on a Sunday evening, and it was completely empty, however it still took a while to receive my meal. My meal was a simple 12 piece with two sides. Now I’m not giving this restaurant one star because of how slow the process was; I am giving them one star because while I was waiting for them to put my food in boxes, I saw a huge cockroach crawling on the wall where the food is located! I told the guy that there was a cockroach crawling, and he did not seem surprised. His response was very nonchalant. I however was freaking out! This place is not clean at all, and if you can avoid eating here, please do. You never know, you may find a cockroach crawling in your mashed-​potatoes.

They were completely unprepared for a dinner rush. They were out of sweet tea, they rang up the wrong food trying to rush, our food was cold, they were out if ice as well as napkins, it took 20 minutes just to get chocolate pies and they weren’t even worth it.

I really don’t know why I continue to come to this location. Other than the fact we LOVE popeye’s chicken and it’s so close to home. I have NEVER been to this location and them get my order right, or meet a professional or courteous employee. My family and I just joke about it all the time now. It’s the brunt of our fast food restaurant jokes. I know I’m not the only one that sees it, mainly because EVERY TIME I’m here, someone is inside complaining about how slow, unprepared, or how they’ve run out of chicken, like they have today. It’s 5:32 PM and they’re out of Chicken breasts and wings. How do u run out of chicken when you’re a chicken restaurant. They need a corporate officer to spend a week at this store, desperately. Oh, while typing this I over heard they’re also out of honey and hot sauce, LOL… What a joke!

This popeyes sucks. The drink machine was down, they ran out of chicken tenders and shrimp for the poboys. On top of that I had to wait 6 mins cause there were no biscuits ready. This is all on a Sunday afternoon.
I hope at least the chicken is good.

All I have to say is you need to get your act together… fast! How the heck do you run out of something at the start of the dinner rush? Why do my husband and I come in to order food, there is no one in the dining room, except people waiting patiently for their to-​go orders? And the people behind the counter who seem to be only taking care of the drive –thru first? The crew manager looked like he didn’t care much for anything about the job except for yelling at the employees any chance he could, and the cashier taking the orders seemed like he didn’t know the difference between a breast and a leg, or what they even look like. After 20 minutes of waiting for our order, the manager looks at everyone waiting patiently for their order and asked, «Why are there six people standing out there?» HELLO? Like you haven’t seen us standing for 20 solid minutes waiting for you to get on the ball. I don’t know if my husband will ever go back again, but I know I sure won’t.

I must say, the Tuesday 2 piece .99 cents special has brought me to this review. Initially i thought this special would cause the restaurant to over cook the chicken due to the masses which would cause the chicken to NOT be fresh. Well I am here to tell you that this is not the case here. I have taken advantage of this Tuesday special for several weeks and each time my chicken has been fresh. I have not experienced a long wait. The drive through looks a little intimidating at times but I generally go on the inside and the wait isn’t too bad. Kudos to this location for keeping it FRESH!
