Gotta update my review after a fantastic barbecue dinner with a group of five a few weeks ago. We ordered family style BBQ(off-menu at this location) and some sides, including the pâté appetizer, the sausage sampler, arugula salad and the mac and cheese. Everything was top notch. My favorites from the platter were the ribs and pulled pork!

CANNOTGOWRONG with this trendy-for-all-the-RIGHT-reasons brunch/lunch spot! I frequent this restaurant to round out my weekend on Sunday’s for their various prime menu options… From their fresh, perfectly balanced Mimosas & nice-twist-on-the-classic Bloody Mary complimenting any food item you can choose on their creative, but not overly stated culinary choices, there’s an option for everyone to indulge in a slice of foodie bliss!!! Let’s face it, even if you just order a side of their pork belly bacon, you’ll find yourself in a state of bow-down appreciation, alone. HIGHLYRECOMMEND!

All I have to say is that BACON is out of this world. There is nothing to compare it too. I was a little skeptical at first because the side order was so small, but all you really need is one piece. Whatever you do, make sure to get a side of the bacon.

After all these years I finally made it to Smoke. This place was more casual than I was expecting, but I was happily surprised at how bright and woodsy it was. Lots of sunlight coming in from the windows. I had the blueberry ricotta pancakes and it was by far the best thing I’ve put in my mouth in awhile. The pancakes were tiny and at first I thought I was going to need more food, but nope — they were perfect and I almost finished the entire plate. I accidentally passed the valet stand driving by, but we just parked on the side street and walked over. No biggie. I will definitely be back!

BBQ was great. The service was top notch. The bar was a nice place to hang out until the rest is my part showed up. Neighborhood was a tiny bit on the sketchy side, but that’s okay.

Probably the best BBQ ribs I’ve ever had. Mac and cheese, hominy and grits casserole were both to die for. Our waiter was super knowledgable, accommodating and just overall an excellent waiter. Talked to us about the area, surrounding towns and things to do. Ambiance was wonderful — cozy, rustic and unique all at the same time. And our food came less than 5 min after we ordered it… Couldn’t believe it AND they gave homemade chocolate chip cookies at the end of the meal. Would highly recommend to anyone in Dallas!

I brought a group of 8 for dinner on a Monday evening. I had the brisket dinner and had to send it back because it was too dry and over cooked. They brought me another order of the same dry brisket. Terrible meal. No offer to comp the brisket entrée. $ 500 tab, we won’t be coming back. P. s. Told the waiter we were taking the brisket home to see if the dogs would eat it… they liked it.

I went to Smoke twice while staying nearby. The first time, I came for brunch and got a side of the cheesy grits /hominy casserole, a blueberry pancake, and a side salad. The salad definitely wasn’t worth my time, but the rest was amazing. A single tear rolled down my cheek from how good the casserole was. Service was fantastic during Sunday brunch, even though it was quite busy, giving it an upscale diner atmosphere. The second time, I came for dinner and ordered the arugula salad and a spicy cocktail that I can’t remember the name of. The bartender and server were great. I wish I hadn’t stuffed myself at other restaurants throughout the week, because I would have loved to go back and try their bbq.

Josh and Austin were excellent bar tenders! We visited New Years Day and even though they were extremely busy Josh was super attentive to our needs and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely return to Smoke. The food was good too :)

Smoked Out Intro: 3.5 The mission for the first time in Texas was to get some authentic BBQ. At the same time, the group wanted brunch. Smoke did the trick. Ambiance: The place looks nice. It has valet parking??? I don’t know if that’s a Texas thing or if it’s supposed to be a little upscale. Either way, you can just park on the street for free. The place has a nice decorum and is very neat and organized. On a quest to find some premium BBQ, I would have preferred some old man in a sombrero on the side of the road with a grill, but I’ll take what I can get. Food: I got the brisket and the potato salad. The brisket was flavored well and came on some Texas toast. I was told that the potato salad was awesome, but I come from a family that specializes in soul food, so… I can’t say I agree. it was good for what it was, but not as awesome as it was sold to me. I got an opportunity to sample these notorious pancakes and I can say that they were definitely unique and delicious. I’d recommend getting them as a desert after your meal. Customer Service: I thought it was sufficient. Our group was seated quickly for brunch and my order came quick. No complaints. In closing: This place delivered the BBQ experience. I would have preferred a more downhome vibe, but I was subject to the group. If you want a nice venue to enjoy a quality meal, Smoke is a great place. I can’t say they have made me a «fan» but if I lived in the Dallas area, I’d probably visit here and there.

Yummy. Went here for lunch with the parents and had a delicious meal, great service and the best bloody marys. I’m happy they have seafood options for people who don’t want to partake in the meat. The fish special was snapper and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I loved the homemade«salsa fresca» that it came with. The décor was simple and inviting and I loved the collage of vintage photos by the bathroom. We will be back for more of those Bloody marys very soon!

Smoke is an absolutely delicious restaurant that really brings on the flavors and tastes. This place has a fantastic menu that’ll surly make you come back for more. Originally came for brunch but slept in and was a bit too late for that, so preferred off the lunch menu and let me tell you there are about 4 – 5 options that looked awesome. Settled with the brisket and bot was it cooled to perfection. The sides, main dish, drinks and overall ambiance was awesome. Minus 1 star for spotty service. Nevertheless, Smoke is delicious and I will definitely be back for more… Pros– Menu Portions Taste Restaurant layout Drink menu Brunch Plenty of parking Ambiance Some outdoor seating when the weather is nice Cons– Average service A bit pricey Expect a wait– crowded

Our waitress, Emily, was as sweet as could be. I wish our food would have been as nice. It’s definitely not all the rage like indicated by the reviews. First, let’s start with everyone talking about the biscuits. They are not drop biscuits and they are omg so dry. No amount of butter is going to help them. Sorry. I come from a long line of scratch bakers. These don’t cut it. Lol.(If you bake you got the joke there). Perhaps it is the blurry eyed hangovers appreciating them for soaking up last nights alcohol? The bacon was pretty good but extremely salty, and the potato cakes were so so. The brisket hash, my husband had, wasn’t too bad but had a sweetness that threw off the dish at the back end of each bite. All in all, for $ 30 plus tip, it is only Emily’s sweet personality getting them two stars and that’s stretching it. It’s a pretty yuppie place for a smokehouse. Had our six year old been with us, she wouldn’t have eaten a thing except expensive scrambled eggs & bacon! Please don’t think she has the typical six year old palate either. One of her favorite dishes is pan seared grouper with lime and garlic, long grain wild rice, and asparagus and she won’t touch Mac & cheese. It was a long drive from Rowlett to be charged $ 30.00 for a couple of plates of disappointment. We are just happy we didn’t stand in line one night waiting to get in! Honestly, the $ 30 we spent on breakfast for all three of us at La Madeline way surpassed this. Sorry Smoke! You went down in flames for us. So sad! We had been soooo looking forward to eating here too!

I vaguely remember reading an article about the best pancakes in Dallas(this is the kind of stuff I google when I’m bored and hungry at work — I don’t even live in Dallas). There was a photo of some glorious, fluffy looking blueberry pancakes topped with apricots, and I knew I needed them. Luckily for me, I had a trip to Dallas planned. I headed to Smoke with a dozen or so hungry family members. They accommodated our large party with ease(they don’t take reservations, but they let us call ahead to give them a heads up). Every last person in our party raved about their food. My boyfriend repeated no less than 5 times that his Bloody Mary was the best he’s ever had. I taste tested and can confirm: level 10 delicious. And my pancakes? I had high expectations and they exceeded them. Fluffy, almost biscuit-like, needed no syrup. Pretty much perfect. I need to try to duplicate them at home. They also have really cute plates with yummy farm animals printed on them. I asked the waitress twice if I could buy one, but alas, they are not for sale. Me hungry. Want more pancake.

Won a certificate at a raffle/fundraiser and have been looking forward to this meal for a LONG time! Atmosphere is great and the food was good. a bit heavy handed on the salt portions but the sweetness from the dessert took care of that! A definite ‘come again’ on my list with a group of friends! Truly enjoyed it all!

Fatty Yeah that’s me. The fat kid at the end of the table stuffing his face by himself because a restaurant just fused his two favorite things in life… brunch and BBQ. That miraculous love baby of the two best things on this Earth gave birth to what I call the unicorn of taste. Don’t look at me, it’s never pretty. Don’t talk to me It hurts so good. The smokiness from the hash… pork ribs… eggs…bacon…bbq… merges so well. Brunch wasn’t supposed to be light, it was supposed to be like this. Cheat meal type of brunch. Sip on some of the most thick and spicy bloody mary you’ll ever have and there it is. Lazy Sunday is complete. Southern Comfort Service like this just gives Texas and the south a great reputation of the love and comfort you’re supposed to receive when you’re dining out… don’t know what that feels like? Don’t visit your parents for a year then go home for a home cooked meal and see how they accommodate you… that’s what Smoke does on a daily basis.

I’d never heard of Smoke until today. My friend suggested it for brunch. I’m so glad that he did. I pulled up to a cute little building with a hipster vibe. Parking was relatively easy. I just pulled into the lot and got a parking right in the front. Once inside I was greeted by the hostess. She was very friendly and immediately noticed I was looking for someone. Just so happen that my friend had already arrived and was waiting at the bar. I took in the décor which was very trendy. We were seated near the back with a window and patio seating. Our server was Derek and he was pretty cool. I order a mimosa but I wasn’t too fond of it. I switched it to a Cabeza Frio. That drink was strong and just right. My friend had a beer. He always has a beer. LOL! We finally ordered our food. I ordered the homemade blueberry and ricotta cheese pancakes with a side of bacon. My friend he had the farm fresh breakfast. It included cheese grits, biscuit, eggs, and chicken sausage. I really enjoyed his cheese grits and chicken sausage. I kept eating his food. I will definitely get that next time. My pancakes were tasty and light. You get three of them about the size of a short stack. It was topped with blueberries and apricots. I could only eat two pancakes and one slice of bacon. Speaking of the bacon, it was cut very thick. The bacon was kind of rubbery. But since I know about the chicken sausage I won’t bother with the bacon anymore. Overall, I had a really good experience. I will definitely be back for brunch with friends and family.

Dallas — Day 4 — Stop 1 — Brunch Not only amazing dinner, but amazing brunch as well. Pulled Whole Hog BBQ Eggs Benedict — 5⁄5 — Pulled pork had a vinegar touch to it, the way I make it. Well done dish with great flavor. Smoked Brisket Cornbread Hash — 5⁄5 — Holy crap this was good. This one of the best brunch dishes I’ve ever had. Unique execution with the brisket being fried into a patty, topped with green chile, poached egg on top of nicely done fried potato cubes. Perfection. Biscuits and Spicy Sausage Gravy — 5⁄5 — Flaky, creamy biscuits. Peppery, smooth gravy. Some of the best biscuits I’ve had. Thick cut bacon — 5⁄5 — Smoky, tender and almost a quarter inch thick. Delicious. Overall, Smoke was already the best meal I had had at dinner, but the brunch was just as perfect. Every single thing was a 5⁄5 for me. «As good as it gets» and a must try in Dallas.

FANTASTIC food here! I’ve been here both for brunch and dinner and I absolutely loved the food/atmosphere both times. Plan on valeting and waiting a while for both times, but the food is definitely worth the wait. Brunch:You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here. My favorite drinks were the bloody mary and white sangria. The bloody mary definitely had a spicy chipotle kick and the sangria was super refreshing and filled with fruit. As for brunch dishes, I got the cornbread brisket hash and it was amazingly good. I especially loved the cornbread hash part and it is FILLED with meat so you probably won’t be able to finish it. We split a few orders of bacon(very thick cut) and hominy casserole on the side. Dinner: They can text you when you’re table is ready so I recommend going to visit bar belmont for a margarita while you’re waiting for your table to be ready(especially if the weather is great)! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed walking around the property to explore while we waited for a table. It’s been a while since we came here for dinner but we split the cabrito empanadas(which were awesome) and one of the BBQ plates. Be sure to get the hominy casserole on the side! Drinks are very inventive. Plan to wait a while but you’ll love it!
