Papa John’s Pizza

LOVE this Papa Johns location! I’m a regular costumer and my food always arrives within 30 – 40 minutes. They bake the pizza much better than other locations around, you can tell all their toppings and cheeses are fresh. I’ve only had one problem where the cheese on the pizza was unproperly cooked, but they had unhesistantly put a free pizza on my account for my next order with them, which they delivered completely free of charge! I recently ordered from here last week and asked for my pizza well done, but the crust was almost completely burnt. I would really like to see them make a «Special Notes» box when you order each item online so they know exactly how you would like it. Overall the pizza’s fantastic! Totally recommend it!

Went on papa john’s web site order a pizza, used a coupon from a coupon web site typed it in promo code, papa john, s web site says price is reduced and tells me to pick it up. Go to pick it up and manager tells me we don’t honor that. Really?Papa John thought it was good but the manager thinks other wise. Don’t get hustle here.

I’m not overly impressed. A driver took one of my carry out pizzas by mistake so I had to wait for them to make another one. Good customer service should have led them to offer us a larger pizza or a free dessert but that didn’t happen.

The Pizza is just like every papa johns pizza and the staff is very friendly! I have never had an issue with delivery times being super long

Quick service and always pleasant. Today as I was picking up my order I overheard one of the staff trying to take a phone order from what appeared to be a difficult customer. I was really impressed. He remained pleasant and calm while reassuring the customer that there was no online order but he’s be glad to get it taken are of. He must have said the same thing five times but remained cordial. Great job!

Ordered from here last night for the first and last time. Simply put, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Delivery took 70 minutes, and the delivery driver made no apologies for how late he was. Giving him a tip seemed like we were being robbed. The pizza itself was awful, poorly made and it did not taste fresh at all, the dough seemed stale and chewy. Came to Unilocal to read other reviews after our experience, wish I had read them first! Horrible service, horrible food — avoid!

2 stars mainly because of the people who work/​run the place. Every time I pick up pizza from inside here, their delivery drivers just hang around in there and don’t walk to the counter to assist anybody picking up their food. Instead they just stare over at the ones who make the pizza for them to take care of me. Half the employees in here are stoned anyways so that probably answers my question. If that’s how this place functions, I can’t say I trust getting pizza from here. Wouldn’t recommend!

Place has been here for years. Consistency is a problem, especially on delivery orders paid by cash. Over the years we have good service and product when ordered online and paid via credit card. However, that all changes when you pay cash. Most evening drivers don’t read the instructions, the order is incorrect and the locations response is «Gee we’re sorry, we could run you over the missing stuff, but it will be an hour or so…»
This last order was a bit much, as it was wrong and came with a topping we didn’t ask for HAIR. 2 clumps of it!

This Location hires very untrustworthy drivers who will snoop on your property and invade your privacy. Unless you want a complete creep and a snitch delivering to your house order elsewhere!

Average Papa John’s pizza, which is a good thing when you expect consistency.

This location of Papa Johns is very bad. They take forever to deliver and they have «computer problems» frequently when trying to order online. It is mismanaged and the quality of the help there leaves much to be desired.

The pizza is good, and usually hot when it arrives, but we have never ordered a pizza from this location and had it delivered in less than an hour. The pizza that we ordered the last time took 90 minutes to arrive. They are less than 5 minutes from our house, there’s no reason it should take so long!

I order online exclusively. The Damascus location calls if they have any questions about the online order. I like that a lot. The quality of the food is exactly the same as every other Papa Johns.

This place really deserves 2.5 stars. I worked next to this location for years, at the music store next door, so I had a lot of contact with the workers, etc.
The pizza, like all Papa John’s, is made with good ingredients and tastes good almost every time. I like the peppers they put in each box.
The employees at this location, despite the extremely high turnover, leave MUCH to be desired. They are almost without exception teenagers and shiftless twentysomethings who smoke nonstop outside, spit, and curse loudly even with kids nearby. They also drive recklessly, as a rule. I can’t tell you how many times I would see them peel out, only to return 30 minutes later, going from 40 to 0 into a tight parking space with maximum brake slammage.
Sure, all they have to do is put the food together and then deliver it. But I stopped ordering from Papa John’s almost immediately after working next to them because the quality of the employees was so low. I’m sure SOME of them were worthy, but I guess none of them stayed long. I’ve also seen the police come and question them (more than once) about who knows what.
So, decent-​to-​good pizza, sub-​par employees. I switched to Dominos in the same town (although if I worked next to them, I might find the same problems), but your mileage may vary. Not a lot of options in Damascus, so if Papa John’s is your favorite, and smoking/​spitting/​speeding/​cursing drivers don’t faze you, go for it.
