Okay. I’ve been putting off this review because I feel bad for the girl and wanted to give her a chance. But Natalie has been a disappointment not once not twice but several times. The last one just infuriated me. I ordered my drink and I forgot to tell her to make it soy but was able to and she even charged me extra. I was already nervous when I saw her. I left and tasted my drink and Voilà!!! She did it again! The curse of Natalie just struck me again. It was milk and she charged me a soy drink. I went to another Starbucks and changed it for free. I’m going back to Peet’s hopefully I don’t see Natalie there.

I don’t know what the problem is with this location, but the straight black coffee is almost always bland; like they reused the coffee. Please improve the black coffee or just close this spot. There is another location across the street.

Just emailed Starbucks corporate offices about this location. I agree with the other reviewers on here about the staff. They are super unfriendly and act like they don’t want to be there. With the exception of the woman with the short dark hair and glasses of course. She is delightful and always has a big smile on her face. The additional star is because of her. Today really drew the line for me. I worked at Starbucks for years so I know what I’m talking about. The last week or so they have been putting a newer girl at the register by herself. I get that they want her to get comfortable ringing up customers and taking orders on her own but they should NOT be doing this at 8 a.m. when they have a line to the door. There were FOUR girls working behind the counter this morning but only two were actually working. The one behind the bar though had a military like feel to her though. .not warm and friendly whatsoever. They tend to chit chat with each other, laugh hysterically with each other, half ass their job when they are actually helping a customer… all while there is a very long line of customers to be helped. There is no urgency whatsoever to help people. Newsflash girls! Your customers stop here to pick up breakfast before work and need to be out the door quickly. You are working at Starbucks, where timeliness and a friendly smile is VERY important. I would not be giving them a hard time if I did not witness on MULTIPLE occasions the laziness and nonchalant attitudes I have seen here. Where is their manager! ?? I am a manager myself and I have to say… this reflects very poorly on him/her. They need to clean house and get some friendly staff in there. There are tons of people who need jobs who can do 100% better. Do not go to this Starbucks. Go to the one diagonally across the street by McDonald’s. Save yourself the stress of feeling like you’re going to be late for work. Go get the same breakfast and coffee but with better service across the street.

This Starbucks is very clean, it also has good management. The workers are very quick and efficient. Ordered the vanilla bean frap and it was soothing after a good workout.

Super friendly and knowledgable staff. Casual atmosphere. A lot of space and outdoor seating. Everything you want in a Starbucks. Keep it up!

Unilocalers, take notice of the dates… over the past 6 – 8 months, this location has gone seriously downhill. The staff is so lethargic and incompetent — or they REALLYREALLY just don’t give a crap. Either way, shame on management for allowing this. Three times in a row, I’ve received an incorrectly made drink. Once, ok, shit happens. Twice, iffy? Third time, WTF!!! Never leave here without thoroughly inspecting your drink. My order– Skinny DECAF Cinnamon Dolce Latte, no foam, extra shot– really shouldn’t be that different. Here, apparently it is — I’ve been given a regular coffee(not decaf) with full sugar syrup(it’s not a damn latte without the milk!!!), last but not least… this morning, 2 customers in the whole store– I’m th the only one waiting for an order… and I wait. .and wait… I look behind the counter, no drink. The«barista» os at the back counter making a drink for her coworker that just came in. WTH? I point out I am a paying customer, ordered first and need to get on my way. Totally nonchalant, the zombie chick says, «Oh». Yep, «Oh». The End

What happened to this store? The past few times I’ve gone here, it takes an extremely long time to get my drink and it’s usually made incorrectly. It’s such a bummer because there used to be a really good core staff here but it seems like nobody cares about their job anymore. It’s worth going down the street to the other Starbucks location instead of going here.

I have been here a few times and it’s been good experiences, but this last trip was not like the previous ones. I repeated my order over 3 times to the gentleman and he read it back correctly to me. I get the same drink every time and it’s always cost $ 4.15. This trip it cost me $ 4.45 and I asked why the price was increased. He said he doesn’t know but for a vanilla mocha that is the cost. I figure $.30 isn’t worth it so I let the up charge slide. When my name was called, the drink that came up was not a vanilla mocha, it was a white mocha with hazelnut! No where close to what I ordered and I’m deathly allergic to tree nuts, so it would have killed me if I drank it. When I returned the drink and told the barista about what happened, he told me the gentleman behind the register was new and he apologized. I hope that they train their employees a little better because if I just took the drink and didn’t know better, I would not be alive. Food allergies can be deadly and an uneducated employee can kill someone if they are not paying attention. I hope this was a fluke and next time my experience will be better.

I like the location and general ambiance. The customer service is quite awful, the manager here(Wanda) is certainly no charmer to say the least! Go elsewhere!

Overpriced and really bad coffee. I asked for just the Pike’s cup in the afternoon and the coffee was burnt or had been sitting there for a long time. Second time I got a flat white and I have to say luke warm and not worth the price I paid for it. Not my favorite starbucks, although their coffee tends to be overpriced and not very good these days.

Super fast coffee service before 7am, can be a bit slower on weekends. But this rating really goes to Starbucks corp — answered my call on the first ring and added my missing reward stars without any hassle. Even added stars from overseas locations that use a different payment system. Kudos to Starbucks for great customer service!

Love coming here especially for the outdoor seating which is greattt on a sunny day. Lots of tables and couches around the plaza, great for any morning visit. Get ready to stand in a line for a bit due to the location. The staff is friendly with smiles on the face!

The service is impeccable. They make sure their coffee stays fresh. The line are generally not long. If they are long, the line moves fast. Also they keep the sweetness and milks stocked.

I’m not sure how this establishment has 4 stars but they most certainly do not deserve it. The service is CONSISTENTLY slow and disheveled every time I come, and I live right next door. This morning I had to forfeit a drink after waiting for it for 30minutes, my breakfast sandwiches had gotten COLD from waiting for my second drink, and the first drink, which had somehow gotten separated by about ten cups from the second one had become COLD as well. The baristas were unapologetic, unaccommodating, and rude. How DIFFERENT from what all the commercials and sleeves say, right?

Normally, as a coffee snob, I can’t stand Starbucks and their overuse of sugar and lack of quality drinks. However, I might give them another chance… For starters, this branch now offers pourovers. I’m not sure if that’s a new thing all Starbucks stores do now, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. I asked for a medium Blonde Roast(Starbucks’ lightest roast) and was told that they did not have that pre-made, but that they could make me a pourover with the light roast beans. As Starbucks’ other roasts always taste a little too burnt, I decided to give that a try and wait an extra few minutes for my drink to be made. And I’m glad I did! This is definitely the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had at Starbucks, with a really full and bright flavor to it. Another really pleasant thing is that this Starbucks is now partnered with Google for its wifi. The AT&T internet I’ve used at Starbucks locations before has always been incredibly slow, especially when the store is busy. During my visit today, every table at the store was taken and it was just packed. Yet the Internet was incredibly fast! I’ll definitely be coming back and giving Starbucks a second thought now, and I hope all other Starbucks locations catch on to these trends!

Pretty good Starbucks. Lots of dogs around outside on the weekends which keeps Pea Pie the chihuahua entertained. I like the coffee here.

I never thought I would write a review for a Starbucks, but I feel I have to. The Blackhawk Plaza Starbucks is by far the best Starbucks I’ve been to. Besides the great location, with plenty of parking and plenty of chairs and tables, this one is unique in different ways. First of all it seems like the manager is very good, and have this Starbucks dialed in to the smallest detail. The staff is friendly, quick and very service minded. They usually remember what I order, but I do come here a lot. The place is always very clean, there’s always plenty of supplies in the restrooms(a lot of busy Starbucks forget to refill toilet paper, soap etc.). This location was the first one to offer Google WiFi in my neighborhood, and I’ve done some speed tests, and even when a lot of people are online, I can get download speeds around 55Mbit/s! They are very generous with samples, both baked goods and hot/cold drinks. They will come to the tables and offer you to try something new. It’s just a really nice place to enjoy your coffee, or sit and work on your laptop. I can’t put a finger on anything I would change, the manager and staff do a great job. Thanks!

This location has TONS of parking in the plaza and plenty of seating, though the lighting isn’t so great during the day. They allow natural sunlight to come in through the glass windows, but they’re often shaded so it’s typically dark inside. There’s often a long line when I come in, but the staff does well to ensure the wait isn’t too long. Nice staff, though out of all the Starbucks locations I’ve visited, this one seemed to be the least knowledgeable about their secret menu. A grande secret menu frap is usually $ 4.45. The ingredients are a mix of their actual menu items. I don’t think they’ve ever made my frap the correct way, despite the fact that I’m giving them the exact ingredients. They just don’t seem to look or taste the way they should, based on the ingredients. Also, picking up the drinks can be chaotic because the staff member doesn’t speak loud enough when there’s a crowd waiting for their ordered drinks. Sometimes, she isn’t too clear either and doesn’t repeat what she said. Overall, this is one of the better locations I’ve been to, mostly because the staff is friendly and the venue is a good choice. It’s strange that there’s another Starbucks right across the street, but then again, that’s how it is everywhere — Starbucks is just taking over the world!

This Starbucks is located in Blackhawk Plaza, just to the left as you go in the main entrance. If you know where it’s located, it’s hard to miss, but my wife and I did *not* know this, and went on somewhat of a wild goose chase as a result. Our GPS directed us to turn right as we entered the Plaza, and we went all through the rest of the Mall without seeing the Starbucks. But then we spied it: it was across the street(on the other side of Camino Tassajara)! We figured Unilocal’s address information was a little out of date, and the Starbucks had moved. So we drove across the street and had an enjoyable coffee at what we thought was the Blackhawk Starbucks. We only learned the error of our ways later upon a return visit to Blackhawk Plaza! Moral of the story: pay attention to Unilocal, not your GPS! Like its sister location across the street, the Blackhawk Starbucks is large with abundant seating(I counted 11 tables and over 25 places to sit). There is some counter seating, two arm chairs and a sofa, and even some outside seating. If you’re lucky(as we were), you might happen to see a certain Giants TV announcer enjoying his coffee while relaxing outside. Or take your coffee and stroll around the mall, which is more than beautiful, and perfect for a caffeine walkabout. We saw a number of people doing just that on this sunny afternoon. This place can get busy; there was a long line when we came earlier in the afternoon around lunchtime. But the line was gone in midafternoon, and we relaxed over a perfectly made coffee and pastry. With this Starbucks and the one across street, locals have an abundance of riches when it comes to coffee choices. One advantage of the other Starbucks is they have a Clover custom coffee brewer; I did not see a Clover in this Blackhawk Plaza location. Still, this is a great place to get a coffee and kick back.
