My best vegan find so far in the ATL. I do have to be critical about one thing, which I’ll mention after talking about how good this food was. The gravy is absolutely on point. The biscuits are great as well though they could have been softer. Tofu scramble: just right. The home fries were spectacular to where I needed more on top of my order. And the sausage is really really good. Oh, and the country fried steak is marvelous. Even the coffee was delicious! And they offer raw or cane sugar. Which is why I was disappointed in one thing… A place so perfect, somewhat health conscious, and nice enough to offer raw sugar over bleached… How come they serve OJ that is from concentrate and has«natural flavors» added(the really cheap corner store bottles)? OJ should never be anything but oranges. And a place so perfect should offer fresh squeezed if not at least real premium orange juice. They need to ditch the cheap orange juice. Just saying.

This was awesome food! I had the spicy black bean burger and fried pickles. I wouldn’t of changed a thing. By far the best Black bean burger I’ve ever had. Spencer my waiter was top notch as well. Thanks for a great late lunch!

Decided to give this place another try on a whim. Total waste of time and money. Ordered the quesadilla and it was disgusting. After one bite, I 86’d it in the trash.

I went here for the first time, today. I might just move in. I’m not kidding. I had the smothered fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Where to start? I was with an omnivore friend and I had to have her verify that what I was eating wasn’t actually chicken – it’s been decades since I ate meat, so I was worried it was actual chicken; it’s not! It’s veggie heaven! It reminded me of my mom’s fried chicken and there’s no higher praise. The green beans were luscious with onion, black pepper, and just the right level of salt. The gravy was sublimely rich and the mashed potatoes were plentiful, herbaceous, and the perfect pairing. Be warned – the smothered chicken is one of the special plates they only offer on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The table next to ours had the fried chicken and waffles – done vegan style. That will be my next item to try! My friend got the steak tacos and zucchini fries. Both were amazing and also regular menu items. As I mentioned, she’s an omnivore and she literally said, «I wonder if I can afford to eat here every day?» By the way, the lunch was filling and delicious and came to under $ 30 for both of us – remarkably low-priced, especially by Decatur standards. Now, the structure isn’t gorgeous. It is in a strip mall that has seen better days. I found the restaurant clean and vibrant inside, which mitigates the outside’s lack of charm. The kitchen is fairly open, which also adds some energy to the vibe of the place. A friendly crowd, great music, and good service rounded out the overwhelmingly positive experience. I love this place. Most the food is vegan by default and vegetarian if dairy cheese is added – be sure to ask your server, though. They also have several gluten-free options. They will do carry-out orders(there’s a 10% up charge for them – something I’m not a fan of, but that is common in Decatur). Go to Go Vegetarian Restaurant! You’ll be glad you did.

Totally surprised by how delicious the«chicken» salad is! You don’t have to eat only vegan here, but if you have a vegan friend this is the place to take them.

My first foray into vegan cooking and went for brunch today with some colleagues who have been recommending this place. My kids and I loved it! Vegan pancakes were a hit. You have to try the country fried«steak» — so good. Got inspired and started a Pinterest page for vegan recipes. ;)

I’m on a 17 day vegan challenge and found this place after a quick search online. The reviews sold me & I must say this place exceeded my expectations. I had the chicken tenders and steak tacos(I couldn’t choose between the two so I was greedy & got both). I highly recommend this place!

I finally made it here. I pass this place on a weekly basis and have been meaning to stop in. The time finally presented itself. After reading the reviews and seeing the pics, I wanted that yummy goodness in my belly. So I went for lunch with a date. I wish I could remember my waitstaff name. She was awesome from the time we walked in till the time we left. Ordered the black bean burger with dairy cheese and order of zucchini fries. It didn’t bother me that it took a minute to get my food. I prefer that because I know it is being cooked fresh. Our burger and fries came out. And the portion sizes are awesome. I just came from an intense workout and needed it. My critique is that the zucchini fries were too salty, and the black bean patty itself didn’t have any flavor. All the additional condiments and trimmings gave it what it needed. Overall, I am adding it to my lunch roundup spots. I was able to relax a moment, watch tv on their tv’s and enjoy some good vegetarian food. I also like the fact that it seems like it is owned by a young manager. Can’t wait to see this spot grow even more.

Thank you for pouring so much L-O-V-E into your food and service! Young lady(so sorry for not getting your name) keep loving on your guests. I felt like I was at my fam’s home. So happy to have found this gem. I’ve told my family and friends and I can wait to come back! Go Vegetarian!

I’m hooked! The food is amazing and so creative in flavors. The price is reasonable and the service is friendly. I don’t think they get much exposure due to their location. Definitely recommend this place even if you’re not a vegetarian.

Love this place when I am craving fried foods. Everything is delicious. I recently had the fried«steak» and gravy and it was great. My favorite is the buffalo tofu and of course, fried pickles.

I’m not a vegetarian, but Go Vegetarian has some solid burgers and they know how to make crispy sweet potato fries, which can be a challenge to find at any restaurant. The menu is extensive with all sorts of sandwiches and side dishes. The manager is a pretty intense dude but very open and has been interacting with customers each time I’ve been in the restaurant. We have some family that are vegan who live out of state – we took them to Go Vegetarian and they loved the vegan shakes. We’ll definitely be back when they’re in town, I’m sure!

New to the area so I rely heavily on Unilocal for food reviews. The reviews here were awesome so my husband, son and myself made the 25 minute trek to dine. When we arrived there was an odd off-putting smell lingering in the air and the restaurant was FILTHILY! We informed the young lady that the tables were dirty,(I’m talking sauce spills and major food particles galore) she just said ok and went back to the register. I found the least dirty table but I just couldn’t get past the gross smell, dirty tables and non existent customer service so we left and walked to the Indian vegetarian restaurant just a few doors down. The place was clean, staff was friendly and the food was phenomenal! I probably won’t return to Go Vegetarian because I really value customer service and cleanliness.

Oddly situated restaurant in a kind of nowhere, dead shopping center. The first time I went, it was pleasant and the food was very memorable. I’m not even sure why I didn’t go back sooner though. The next time… the food was still as top notch as it was the first time, but add in some amazing and friendly staff… Geez. You guys are amazing. Insert a lot more gushing, but really, thanks for being awesome and serving up some great vegetarian food along with. I really want to try more on their menu, but I’m really in love with that BBQ pulled steak sandwich, but the tofu buffalo wings are a good contender and so is the Grilled BBQ tofu sandwich with glazed pineapple. Next time I go, I definitely want to try out their truffle fries or rather… anything. anything on their menu… perhaps I should just go down the menu. Ah… food. It’s kinda neat that they aren’t the typical vegetarian style restaurant. Their food doesn’t have that«health» halo look that seems to follow other places, and it’s not a bad thing. It’s certainly refreshing. They just make everything so delicious… Also, the prices aren’t over the top for vegetarian eats! Pros? Awesome… amazing staff. Check. Killer vegetarian eats. Check. Reasonable price for quality. Done & done. Cons? None that I can think of… unless you count the location, which in my experience, amazing vegetarian/vegan eats are always in the weirdest, off the beaten path, locations.

My lady and I were driving around looking for something healthy/vegetarian to eat and stumbled upon the venue, it was 8:52pm and they closed at 9pm we rushed in expecting to be turned away like most restaurants at closing time, but that is not what happened. They told us to take a seat and proceeded to serve us,(non rushed) the waitress was a slim African American female with a big smile and a lot of southern hospitality, The manager/owner came over to introduce himself and tell us about the amazing meals they serve, he was very hospitable. The food is fantastic & the customer service, was first class! we will frequent this spot on future date nights. I recommend the vegan beef burger and the Salmon cakes with their Chi soda. We had a great experience here. Hope this helps. My Best Donovan Gordon

This definitely deserves a rewrite. Just left Go Vegetarian, and it was amazing. I got the fried chicken(FRIEDCHICKEN!) and waffle, side of bacon and potatoes. ALLVEGAN! I’m in food coma heaven. The fried chicken was the best part of the meal. Crunchy battered and juicy center. Perfect. The bacon didn’t look good, but it was really good. My husband had the French toast and a side of sausage, and grits. The French toast was excellent. The sausage tasted weird to me, but my husband liked it. The only downfall was that they gave us bottled Tropicana oj, and after having fresh squeezed oj, it just tastes like piss. We got all that food for under $ 30. Very reasonable prices. We will be back probably sooner than my body will metabolize this breakfast.

Glad to have found this delicious vegetarian restaurant. The employees are very friendly and polite from beginning to end which makes this place even better! Here’s what we got: — Truffle Fries: pretty good, you can slightly taste the truffle flavor and it’s not overpowering which was great. — Steak Tacos: delicious, lots of flavor — Basil Spring Rolls: don’t get this, try something else on the menu. It’s like more of an appetizer and the flavor isn’t quite there. I thought it was going to be cold raw veggies, like a normal Thai spring roll would be. But it was cooked veggies and it made the roll taste funny. The two sauces that came with it was okay. Overall I would definitely come back and try out a few other items. The tacos and burgers seem to be the biggest hit.

One of the best vegetarian spots out there! They offer a lot of variety of options in their menu. Ordered: BBQ pulled steak sandwich with truffle fries, Italian sausage sandwich. I LOVED my BBQ pulled steak sandwich! The«steak» was very tender and the BBQ sauce was perfect. There was also coleslaw in the sandwich which complemented the BBQ sauce and«steak» really well. Italian sausage was good. I was very impressed how the imitation meat tasted so much like real sausage. It was lacking more strips of meat. There was too much sauce and not enough meat. Otherwise, everything else tasted good. Truffle fries were a bit soggy but had good flavors. Customer service was great; everyone was so friendly. The owner kept checking us to see if we needed anything. I will definitely come back to try other menu items!

This place has so many options it was really hard to choose. I was between the veggie sausage and the vegetable corn tacos. The tacos won! It took a while for the food to come out but that’s okay. The vegetables in the taco were seasoned and cooked well but the pico de gallo was too watery and bland. My husband got the chicken tacos and he loved it. The fake meat tasted really good! Texture was on point. Next time he wants to try the pulled steak burger. My truffle fries were a little too greasy for me. Felt like I was eating straight up oil. No thanks! Overall, it’s a good place to stop by at if you’re in the area. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. Seems like they have steady business though! Lots of customers kept making their way in. Good to know this restaurant is here!
