Not much options here. We opted for the $ 1 Medium Hot coffee and $ 1 Iced Coffee deal and breakfast sandwich. I asked for cream only in the hot coffee and cream and sugar in the iced coffee, but she just put cream in both. Ugh…

One large coke, twice the price of any other McDs and three times the wait. It’s usually busy and the order/pickup is always disorganized. Usually there is only one register open and just maybe a second will open after they stare at you across the counter for uncomfortably long. I’d just go over to the gas station or try one of the other food court places instead. No wonder McDs is struggling these days…

This is the McDonald’s located in the DeKalb Oasis. See my review for my thoughts on this place overall. Anyway, I usually give McD’s a one star across the board for all locations. I don’t see the need to eat here. Even though they have tried to change their reputation and cater to a more healthy lifestyle, it is not an easy task. The only reason this location received one star above my average is because it took some time to prepare our order. This was actually good in my eyes as there was literally no one else here getting food. This meant they had to actually prepare something and not pull it off the hot plate where it had been sitting all day. I only ate here at a last resort having not eaten for hours and being stuck in the middle of nowhere. I got a chicken wrap which was still less than appealing. One step forward at a time.

I should have known better. I remember when a quarter pounder was a great tasting sandwich that I loved to eat. This McDonalds is located in the I-88 toll road in Illinois. I was traveling home from Chicago and made a quick stop for the quarter pounder meal. I was already back on the road when I bit into the sandwich — if that is what you could call it. I am sure the styrofoam box would have tasted better if I could have added a little ketchup. McDonalds continues to disappoint me ever since they switched to heating ovens to heat up their food. They should change their name to «McPuke» so people who remember how their food used to taste are not confused by the clop they turn out now. I would ask for a refund but I tried that once before and the McCorporate office is not very user friendly to deal with — — - no surprise there!

Friendly and fast service– just what you want at an oasis location. They seem to have a full menu, including all the coffees and smoothies. I love the wildberry smoothie!
