This restaurant is my favorite in Delray… It’s a totally unique experience and recommend this spot for better dining… Incredibly imaginative menu offerings and very quaint and warm environment in a historic Swinton property

I seldom give five star reviews, but DADA earned it. We had a server by the name of Parker and she was fantastic; very welcoming and sweet. My friends and I like to come here after golf and they make an amazing Long Island. I’m a little too old for the club vibe, but it’s great to come here for drinks with friends. I’m very glad this place is part of Delray.

Four of us had dinner here last night. It is a fun place, with a terrific waitstaff, good food, and a fun ambience. Whether it’s indoors or outdoors, the wait staff is on top of things right away! Martinis, Mojitos, and wine for openers.(There w ere 4 of us). All good! Then we had«pork chops», and seafood. The wait time for our entrees was minimal, the food good, and the prices were moderate. Our waitress«Melissa» was outstanding, hence kudos to her. Da Da is a short walk from the Delray Arts Garage, which was great as when we finished dinner, we walked for a few minutes and found our seats in time for the show being presented. The next time we go, hopefully it will be cooler as it seems their outdoor tables would be fun. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere! Tables are made of slate and come with chalk to draw on. Food was very flavorful and fresh. We had the butternut ravioli, the bacon wrapped dates and the roasted chicken breast dish. Would def come here again!

It was OK. I would give the ambience and service five stars but the food was just mediocre. My friend got the Cuban and she sent it back because it was dry and bland. She ordered the arepa next and I tried a little bit and it was… No nice word so I won’t say anything! She felt bad because our server was so nice so she didn’t say anything. I also think $ 12 for a mojito is a Little ridiculous even though it is delray !! I tried the Mediterranean plate and that was good but it’s hard to mess that up

This was the first restaurant that we visited in Delray and when we were at dinner my hubby said, «let’s move here!» «Ok, the food is awesome! Let’s do it!» And now we are here! Interesting and weird. Not sure what to make of it… but in love w the dates. The coco loco mojito is perfect! My hubby loves the parcha mojito but we like Jose the bartender — he makes great drinks! Today we had: The watermelon salad in summer is perfect! Refreshing and such a nice mix of flavors! Dates are hit or miss but whoever is in the kitchen tonight is rocking!!! Crab cake. No words. Perfection! Lastly, the redfish which Jose recommended. Yes. Yes. And yes! The melding of flavors today and the music(Amy Winehouse…) was a 100% what made us move to Delray! [4 of 5BC the noise level is too much and the food has, at times, been inconsistent and bland. I wish they had something to absorb some of the noise inside so it felt more intimate.]

Always a great spot. Casual with a great outside. Make sure you sit out front and not on side. Portions are spit on!

Dada seemed right up my alley. The location was so cute, it’s like a little house and the outdoor area is romantic and dimly lit. Did I mention that the wait was also a whopping hour and a half? All the signs pointed to a great meal?! Unfortunately(actually very fortunately) due to the long wait, we headed over to our original dinner reservation at Tryst. Maybe it was because my meal at Tryst was sooo good but I hated the food at Dada’s! The bacon wrapped dates were cold and the tomato confit was too sweet for the dish. We also ordered the flatbread which was a total waste. Needless to say there was no craving for dessert.

To be honest, I was not a lover of my short ribs. It was in a thick brown gravy which I thought did not help the dish at all. Not at all what I was expecting from the short ribs. On the other hand my sister and brother in law who keep coming back here, loved their habanero salmon and shake n bake pork chops. So out of respect to them and a fellow elite Unilocaler who highly recommended this place, I will give it 4 stars. We sat outside on a beautiful night. Inside was pretty too. I guess the place has been converted into a restaurant from someone large house. There is 2 hours free parking offered there. Yes, I would go back there again but not order the short ribs.

2nd time dining at Dada(first time was about a year and a half ago– not sure why I didn’t review then!). Torn over the entrees– the redfish & gnocchi was really good(5 stars). The pork chop special was AWFUL. Like, undercooked, tough, near impossible to cut through… Just terrible(1 star). Our waitress was incredibly condescending… Any question about the menu, she acted like we were the dumbest people in the world. For example, my husband asked if the duck entrée was served with bones– the waitress said yes. He then asked what kind of bone situation he was looking at(1 bone, or like a chicken, etc… Not familiar enough with duck to know). A simple answer would’ve been«imagine being served half a chicken», which is what I picked up by looking at the pics on Unilocal.Instead she said«I don’t know, I don’t study the anatomy of ducks.». Seriously? The rest of the waitstaff was polite, though. Mojitos are pretty good, but I wouldn’t say they are better than anywhere else on Atlantic. We got the banana bread dessert– VERY delicious. I can’t decide if we’d go back or not. It’s not cheap, and while 1 meal was great, the other was awful and we didn’t like the waitress. If we only had the redfish and the dessert, and we had a pleasant waitress, we would totally go back! But… I’m not sure it’s worth the gamble. Alright, off to study the anatomy of a duck in case I ever want to order it again.

Consistently good, reservation is a must, menu changes from time to time, lots of outdoor seating. Cons — lousy wine list. So-so glasses Pro — low by today’ standards corkage fee $ 15

Staying at the Seagate Hotel(great place by the way) and our concierge told us that DaDa had great food, but a little edgy. Did you say ‘edgy’… thank you! Great food, nice edgy vibe, in short, not your ‘chain’ restaurant. Not in a strip mall either, how about a private house with some huge banyan trees in front with tables dotted on the porch, and what used to be the front lawn. Food, service, and edgy interiors and exteriors were solid A+. We sat in the back room while watching an old Peter Sellers bio on the wall… yep… ‘edgy’. Like it. Ok, regarding the food… burger great… the Dada dates were amazing ! Tuna tartar. Good wine list. Check it out. oh by the way… poet readings on one day during the week… yep, edgy !

We were looking for a tasty dinner accompanied with a lively atmosphere and Dada checked off all boxes. Even though 10ish seemed a bit late, every seat in the house was filled. Delray is filled with vacationers so I guess when you are in vacation mode 10 is a fine time to eat din. The actual restaurant is inside an old and funky house, but about 50% of their seating is outside on the patio. On a warm night, an outside table surrounded by plants and lanterns was a great vibe. Mojitos are my thing and here there was an entire menu dedicated to mojitos. It was tough to choose, but I ended up with a coconut mojito. It was refreshing and delicious and I probably could have kicked back a few more if not for the 11 dollar price tag. The eats were equally as impressive as the dranks/vibes. Our table shared an order of the bacon wrapped dates, because well, bacon wrapped dates. Crunchy maple bacon wrapped around a sweet date with some goat cheese in the center. We also shared the grilled brie which came with a large plate of fresh fruit. After all of that I wasn’t too too hungry, so I went with a small crab cake. It was small in size but packed a big punch in flavor and was drizzled with a sweet mustard glaze. The menu had an eclectic mix and lots of small and shareable plates, so I’d suggest coming here if you’re with a big group and want a variety of choices. Just call ahead for a rezzy because I’m sure it’s always a scene.

First time dining at Dada this past weekend and it was everything I expected and hoped for. I had missed the Elite event here and heard amazing thing’s about Dada. I enjoyed the location and the old warm charm from this lovely home turned into a restaurant now They have plenty seating outside under beautiful tree’s. We had made the mistake to make a reservation outside and when we arrived, it was quite cold. The wind was blowing a chilly breeze. We asked if we could dine inside but they had reservations but after not even five minutes the lovely hostess came to our table letting us know they had a cancellation and she could move us indoors. Wow, this was such a nice gesture. She then took us inside to a lovely four top in a small room that was quite comfy. Our server«Stefano» greeted us immediately, got us water and opened up our first bottle of wine. After looking over the menu I wanted the Brie and my friend ordered the watermelon steak. The Brie came to our table with a side of bread that was toasted and was the perfect pair. It was delicious! I love grilled Brie but this was above my expectations. My friend enjoyed her watermelon steak, I did not try it but they enjoyed it. My co-workers had told me how good the Crab Cakes are here. So naturally this is what I ordered. It came with a side of yellow rice. Two good sized crab cakes with no crazy stuffed fillers, it had so much crab meat, excellent flavor from being seared and it was awesome. All of us really enjoyed all of our food very much. Portions, prices and creativity of dishes, make this a perfect restaurant to check out. Bruce, the Chef is wonderful with his culinary talents, nice guy who gives back and cares so much about this community as well. Everyone from the hostess to our delightful server Stefano gave us impeccable service. Looking forward to going back again and again. Thank you Dada and your great team!

Last July, 2015 I wrote my first review of Dada during Unilocal’s Summer of Steak month giving it 4 stars mostly because of the Rib Eye Steak disappointment, and after dining there again last night I felt it was my responsibility to express my excitement about the experience I had and give Dada a 5 star rating. Everything about the atmosphere was and is the most noticeable attribute of Dada, being that eclectic feeling of eating in a house that was built in 1924, with different rooms, the house being surrounded by old large trees with big tree trunks. Among the trees there is also dining outside, with also a great atmosphere looking at the front of this old house. What I really experienced last night was a wonderful addition to what I experienced last year which did two things. To start, we had made reservations for 3 of us to sit outside thinking how nice it would be considering the warmer weather we were finally getting. Unfortunately we were wrong and it was a little chilly and wanted to change to sit inside. There was one problem. The inside was booked with reservations so our only choice was to sit outside. The host knew we were disappointed but it was not their fault, and we sucked it up and sat at a table right on he side of a tree. We asked our server if there was any outdoor heaters but they did not get their shipment of propane yet so that was a bummer. I went the car to get my jacket and a sweatshirt for my wife and as I walked up to the table, my wife and our friend were getting up because lo and behold the host and the server got us a table inside because of a cancellation. They could of given that table to a new walk in party, but they cared enough to accommodate us first. Great, really was impressed. We got seated in a nice cozy 4 top next to the window and had the greatest server, Stefano, who was really cool and on top of his game. We had brought our own wines and within minutes had a decanter for us as we had asked for, but never used. I asked for and ice bucket as we chill our wine and within minutes he put one right next to the table where we could just refill ourselves easily. As usual, their appetizers were different and amazingly creative. My friend and I ordered the Grilled Brie. We purposely ordered this to go with the Red Wine we were drinking. Wow!!! The honey garlic butter the Brie sat in added a rich flavor to it, which went so great with the wine, and the Ciabatta Bread was toasted and perfect for spreading the Brie and garlic butter. Putting that in your mouth is heaven. The softness of the Brie and the crunchiness of the Ciabatta Bread. My wife ordered the Watermelon Steak. The watermelon was pan roasted topped with Feta cheese and basil pesto oil. This is what I love about Dada. Creativity. For dinner, my wife had the Hog Snapper served with broccoli and mushrooms and she loved it. My friend and I both ordered the Crab Cakes. Finally, more crabmeat and less breading!!! Secondly, they do not deep fry the cakes, but pan sear it. Perfect, and yes delicious. Stefano would not let us leave without trying their Banana Bread Pudding, delicious my wife said. We all know that once in awhile we can order the wrong dish or get a bad dish and I really think that steak back in July threw me for a loop, especially since it WAS Summer of Steak month. Now that I went back and loved my Crab Cakes, still loved the creativity of their appetizers, and had the MOST terrific service by Stefano, this place deserves the 5 stars. So glad because I love coming here for the atmosphere as well.

This is one of the cutest bar/restaurant I have ever been in this area. Really liked the environment and the music. Arrived for dinner, but I couldn’t get a table, so I went to another place. Then I returned for some drinks and music. Only had a mojito with sugar cane stick some wine. And had a grilled Brie that was awesome. Really liked the patio, but the interior is something else. The waitress was really kind aNd the service was superb. Guess it’s the best option for a date, or even to impress some friends who are not from here. I’m not from here and I’m impressed. lol

Though some of the other guests dining were more helpful with pictures and such than the wait staff, the mojito and food make me go Gaga for Dada and will round up to 4 stars. I drove up this past Saturday for a friend’s birthday and I loved the old house and patio chairs made up of old tree stumps. That and the string lights embody the creative name of the spot. Surprisingly, and contrary to my prior social history I was actually the first to arrive and service was pleasant then. Looking at the menu, it is heaven for a rum snob with their variety of mojitos, including some made with vodka. I opted for the classic, complete with muddled mint and sugar cane. Alcohol content was just right for a 30+ party: just enough for a light buzz and not crazy enough to take me back to college years. Food was also on point, starting with the bacon wrapped dates in a tomato confit. The goat cheese was just enough to not overpower the sweet flavors. My other appetizer of pig wings was just as good with the fig sauce, as was the short rib Flatbread I sampled from a fellow guest. The chocolate cake for the Guest of Honor was tasty too. Since it was birthday, plenty of pictures had to be taken. However, most of the group shots were taken by fellow diners who’s space we had to crash when the rain started. As Patty mentioned, it would have been nice if some accommodation was planned for the weather and our group(However the lightning show was cool!) Still and all, it was a fun Saturday night I enjoyed celebrating with good friends.

I’ve been to Dada three times now and each time has been a fantastic experience from beginning to end. 2 of those visits were what I call B.Y. Before Unilocal. So, no pics guys. Sorry! B.Y. …hard to imagine what life was like then. Yikes. Ok, back to my review. The first time I was brought here was a surprise. We were watching a Mentalist. What a fun show! I had the Shake n Bake Pork Chop then. It was the BEST chop I had ever had. Thick, juicy and perfectly cooked. I also tried the Bacon Strips appetizer. They come about 5 in a little cup with a side of something I can’t remember because I didn’t like it. The bacon was stellar though. Thick sliced, not smoky, with a nice dry rub that I think had allspice or chinese five spice in it. We were seated in the front left room. It was a little difficult to watch the show because of the wall in the way but we made do. The next time I had the meatloaf. It was oh-so-comforting. The epitome of stick-to-your-ribs food. Both times I had the mashed potatoes because they are creamy, chunky and delicious. I also tried the bacon wrapped dates. They were aiight.(Dare I say I make those better at home for Christmas?) Sowwy. We were seated outside. It was cute. I enjoy the outdoor lighting. On my most recent visit I had the NY strip steak. It was slightly overcooked for how I had ordered it but delicious nonetheless. I also tried the Cheese Fondue and ooolala it was so good! I never would have thought to dip strawberries and blackberries in melted cheese but it was heavenly! It is also served with two big pretzel rolls, green apples, broccoli and cauliflower. We were seated in the back Movie room and we really enjoyed it there. It was romantic and the sofa was quite comfortable. They have lots of events so be sure to plan ahead and pick the right time to go. See ya soon Dada!
