Pollo Tropical

The takeout order of an half chicken meal was completely burned beyond consumption. I called the store the next day to complain and I was promised someone would returned the call which never happened.

What a bad experience. Do not waste your time. The food was cold and bland. The service was the worst I have ever experienced. They shorted the order. When I showed the man behind the counter the receipt he argued with me. The cashier agreed with me and he reluctantly filled my order mumbling under his breath what I can only assume was a string of curses.

The employees at this restaurant are rude and totally disrespectful toward customers!
The restaurant does not even serve the food that they list on the menu as staples,
We ended up with NO chicken and what ever the employees decided to give us!
By the time the food got home, we were too stressed out to go back to get the order corrected. I would have given no stars but the app will not allow for that.

It is what it is. First of all, it’s hard to figure out what you’re getting– are the black beans and rice extra or do they come with it? Try to have it explained to you! Good luck.
That said the food is good. But check your chicken pieces– sometimes they are big, sometimes your pieces are about ¹⁄₃ the size you had before.
Usually it’s fairly clean but I went in tonight and the condiment bar was filthy. The young girl cleaning it was so slow, she may get it cleaned by later tonight.

I was very impressed with this location when I went there the other day. For a quick, fast food atmosphere, we have come to expect exactly that. Nothing personal and just quick service. However, the lady that I worked with was wonderful. She made sure I had all of my options listed, discussed possible substitutions for what I wanted (I was trying to keep on the healthier side), and reminded me of the sauces that would compliment what I ordered. She was fantastic! When the order was ready, she made sure I had everything I needed. Very professional and friendly service!
The establishment was kept clean and orderly. Even with the long lines at lunchtime, everyone working there was in good spirits and keeping things moving.

This place is disgusting. It stinks when you walk in, the employees look dirty, people are yelling at each other, you’re going to wait 10+ minutes regularly. I work on the road, I’ve eaten at a lot of these. Stay away from this one!

First time eating at this restaurant. The menu is very good. The food is fresh and mostly nutritional. The chicken is grilled fresh and chopped in front of your eyes.
I had a chicken quesadilla salad and it was very good. Lots of black beans and corn. We also had a side of plantains… yum!
I wish this restaurant would come to Dayton Ohio!
The only negative is that the «fast food» look on the outside is not true. It takes a while for your order to come up.

Sadly This place has gone to the dogs. Dirty, sticky and greasy counters. The sauce station and soda fountain counter are sticky with dried up drink and sauce spills. The many times I’ve been here the counters are not cleaned and are in disarray. It is such a discouragement to see this. The manager seems super friendly with the employees, very casual, standing off to the side chatting away laughing, while the employees struggle to get orders in and out correctly. The employees don’t seem to understand speaking another language to each other in front of customers is rude! I Received my order and was incorrect. As much as I enjoy Pollo Tropical, I do not eat here as much as I would like to.

This is my regular Pollo. I have dined in and take out regularly.
What can I say. Good attitude, good fresh food, nice people. They are quick and they don’t miss a beat.
My family has been through the menu and so far so good.
If your in the area and looking for a Pollo… this ones a winner.

Kind of ordinary tasty «fast food» but I guess a good alternative to the fast food burger places. This particular location seemed clean. And, safe as 2 Fla highway officers were sitting nearby.

Food came quickly and was delicious! The new bacon Tropi Chop was good as were the cheesy yucca. Love the garlic sauce inside too. Mango tea. yum!

First they were out of lids, straws and ice. When i finally received my food the rolls were litterally hard as rocks. I asked the girl at the counter if she had any others that were fresher and was told «how should i know» and older gentlemnen at the counter i presume a manager offered another pack of stale rolls which i showed him were also hard he asked another firl to get me others. She went to the same pile of old bread and gave me a second pair of unedible rolls. Between the rude staff, dated food and lack of proper supplies I wont be back here.

This is definitely one of the newer and better Pollo Tropical restaurants around and far superior to the one on Linton Blvd — in fact this one is worth a longer drive than the other location. Parking is plentiful, the restaurant is pretty new, bright, and clean.
I have tried several different things on the menu and generally liked them all.
The TropiChops is what most people order and I prefer white rice as their yellow rice is jut not tat tasty to me as it has too many onions. The chicken is fresh and adding some toppings can customize this dish into hundreds of combinations.
The ¼ or ½ chicken platter is very good and has sides of rice and a roll.
The chipotle chicken sandwich with a side of fries is one of my favorites here and is always a tasty lunch.
I am also VERY GLAD that they now have COKE products here (finally).

I like Pollo Tropical just not this location! This is the WORST location for them. The actual location is good but they need to change all the workers.
On several occasions I’ve gotten the WRONG food! They have even given me the wrap without melting the cheese.
I’ve asked for extra chicken in my wrap and they gave it to me in a separate container. So I had to unravel the wrap to get the chicken in and it made a mess!

Tonite I got the best service ever for fast food. You’re the best pollo! Late night working.

Being that this was a new location I decided to wait a few months for the employees to get it together before I reviewed. They seem to be well organized now and have a solid process in place to get people in and out as fast as possible. I usually just get the boneless chicken or the chicken breast on the bone meal. I love the chicken here because it tastes fresh and doesn’t taste overly salted or seasoned. The only complaint I have it that the chicken never seems to be hot, always room temperature.

A solid 3 stars which is pretty good for a fast food chain.
I’m from up north so I’ve never had Pollo Tropical before. I was pretty pleased. The service was pretty good as were the portions. I also liked their dressing bar.
It was cheap and almost the only thing open after ten.

Doing the drive thru today. One employee outside cleaning by the back door is wearing his jeans below his bottom. This is already a clue for me to leave. I ordered a tropichop and a chicken Caesar. Line is not moving at all. There have been two cars ahead of me for 10 min so I have time to type. Moved up a bit lady stopped again exited car and walked through drive thru to advise at window that two fries missing from her order. Car behind me just drove away after placing his order. My order was already in the bag. We are done in 15 minutes. Line started getting longer with after school traffic as I left. Fpod was ok.

Second time at new location. Food is wonderful as usual. Today though I came around 11:15 less then 10 people already ordering or waiting for food and the service was very slow. Not good at all. 1 star for service due to being slow and screwing up on orders. Even the manager I believe shift supervisor she screwed up my order as well and just ordered a tropichop. 4 stars for food 1 star for service.

New location, unorganized staff, and dry food!
Came into this new location instead of the Linton and what a horrible choice! We ordered our food, they gave it to us as if we
Were doing take out. Sat down and our chicken was as dry as jerky! You’d think a new location would do better! Then, you have the workers chatting up a storm with each other WHILE a customer was waiting for their order to be taken. Staff needs better management. And lastly, you had someone prepping sauce on the front counter. I know for a fact that’s a health code violation! Won’t be coming here anytime soon!
