Tried this deli for an afternoon of picnic at the park. Very taste large sandwiches. Their house Cajun sauce(that they put on just about everything) will make your nose run, but it was good. I didn’t get a pickle. –1. Very versatile sandwich menu. Staff seemed apathetic, but thorough. I’ll go back.

My husband and I are visiting Denver and had a delicious lunch at Heidi’s. He had a thick pastrami sandwich with cole slaw and a cup of New England clam chowder while I had the bagel and lox. Both of our lunches were great.

(I’m not sure what happened to this beloved sandwich shop. I was visiting the one on CO Blvd every other week for a few years and always got the Cajun turkey avocado. Tons of turkey, lots of toppings… was always a great Friday treat. Fast forward to a bout 2 months ago and my favorite order was now 1⁄3 of the size in terms of meats and topping yet the same thick bread. WTF? I went back a couple of weeks later thinking, oh it was just a one time thing. Nope, this much be there new«system». Sorry Heidi’s for close to $ 11, I’m out. Plus they changed the delicious red skin one they had with some over sweet yellow version that tastes like it came form a grocery store. Only going to Snarf’s now. Much better anyway.

Amazing service. Years ago I had TERRIBLE service at a Heidi’s location downtown and avoided it like the plague until my fiancé started dragging me here. The Cajun Turkey with Avocado is the most amazing, perfect sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Cole slaw and a pickle round out the meal perfectly. I’m taking one star away because of one weird, off-putting thing that they do. When you request gluten-free bread, they ask if it’s an allergy or a preference. What’s the difference? If a customer requests gluten-free than just use the GF bread. I’m not sure what the difference is, if there is one, but it’s off-putting because it seems like they should take the same care for making the sandwich to the customer request no matter what the reason.

Although I try to avoid chains as a general rule, I found myself starving and without dinner plans. Since I live in the neighborhood I decided to just give it a try. I ordered the chicken Parmesan Sub. It was less than impressive. All too simple and way too much bread. It lacked flavor for days but I have to say I was full by the end. But for $ 10.75 it was not worth it. Cross the street to Sprouts market and get a sandwich there if that’s what you need.

I get a sandwich at Heidi’s from time to time. Always enjoy my meals, and the bread is exemplary no matter which one you choose. A few days ago I decided to try the egg salad sandwich, and was pretty disappointed. The«salad» was simply chopped eggs with mayo. No minced onion, no pickles, no diced celery, no ground pepper. The eggs themselves tasted good, but I didn’t order an egg sandwich, I wanted an egg SALAD sandwich. Obviously Heidi’s does not make one of those. The only saving grace was the marble rye bread.

Despite its slightly bland, corporate-feeling exterior, Heidi’s is a neighborhood gem that makes really good food and smoothies. Everything tastes really fresh because they make everything in-house. Their prices are really reasonable, and if you sign up for Spot-On rewards, they offer really good specials as well.

Wow, what a place! I resided in NY so I was quite skeptical when I stepped in. The Staff was friendly and provided several suggestions. The place was very clean and attractive. The bread appeared and taste like it was baked fresh. With that being said half a sandwich is a full meal in itself. The Sandwiches are HUGE. I ordered half of the Bronx Bomber Sandwich which is Pastrami and egg salad. It was my first time ever eating Pastrami or egg salad which were quite tasty together. I skipped any potato/cold slaw salads but did the the chocolate chip cookie which was amazing; best I have had in Denver, Colorado. I will be back and will bring friends. The owner was there and was super cool. Great place to eat for lunch or dinner, check them out.

This spot has been a welcome addition to the ‘hood. For me it was love at first bite when I tasted their Hell’s Kitchen breakfast sandwich on a fresh everything bagel. My wife and I now make it a regular stop for bagels and smoothies.

I came here for dinner once and had the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich. The Italian bread was perfectly crusty. I loved the layers of thin eggplant and delicious red sauce covered in cheese. My only complaint is that it was a bit cold in the middle, but I didn’t want to risk them making a new order and wasting food. The prices were good overall, and the pickle was tasty. I definitely want to come back and try more sandwiches in the future.

It has been a while but I stopped in for lunch, staff was very friendly, said Hi as soon as I walked in. I got the hot pastrami sandwich with the potato salad and holy meat on a sandwich, this thing was fantastic. Bread was delicious, the pastrami was to die for, I could not get enough and then add to that the potato salad, creamy and delicious! Will certainly be back again and again!

I love Heidi’s. Such good substantial sandwiches and super-fresh bread. Their gluten free bread is some of the best I’ve had. And the people there are really nice, too. It can be a little pricey, but I always get two meals out of the two sandwich halves, which kind of evens it out.

Staff is friendly prompt and quick. Great sandwiches and I love how they have a daily special everyday and rotate the kind of sandwiches. Monday is free cookie day, and their cookies are so yummy. I read the other reviews about the potato salad, and I concur-it’s not the same good taste as it used to be. I’m not sure if they changed the recipe or what. But that being said, I disagree with people’s reviews saying it’s expensive. It’s very comparable to competitors who don’t offer a pickle or any side for that matter. In any event, I would recommend they offer an apple vs. lays chips/potato salad/or coleslaw. And maybe I would ask they go back to the old potato salad recipe. As it stands, I love this place and the location. It’s very bright and clean.

Tasty sandwiches! Pretty good interpretation of a NYC deli, though expect less meat than you’re used to. Staff seemed new, but were trying. I’ll be back.

My first Heidi’s experience was back in Maine. My family and I used to love to drop in for a special treat. Out of sheer excitement we inadvertently parked and tried to enter their old location(not far from T. Joe’s) despite what my Unilocal app told me. Turns out they had moved locations and Iw as deceived by the large«Heidi’s» sign still on the storefront. The new location had lots of street parking and was completely empty when we arrived. I don’t recall the staff greeting us upon entry and they certainly were not as friendly(as I hope for folks working in the service industry to be, hence the 4 rather than 5 stars). I was tickled to see that my fave the«Hells Kitchen»(egg salad, bacon, swiss cheese, avocado, & cajun sauce) were on the menu. I had worked up quite the appetite and ordered an entire sandwich(only now remembering that the sandwiches are absolutely massive and I used to simply order a half plus a cup of soup). The food was ready quickly and I was happy to see that the tables were clean and tidy. If I’m in the area again I’ll definitely be dropping in.

Have to place a post on the new Heidi’s Deli since they moved. So sorry to say but they have slid all the way down to zero stars. Anyone that rates Heidi’s more than 2 – 3 stars never went to the original or any others or the one on Colorado blvd over the years. This new location should have been the same as the Colorado blvd as it is the same owners, just moved. Well it’s obvious they needed to make some increased profit at the expense of raising prices, reducing the quality and amount of meat on the sandwiches and go cheap on the sides. They try to upsell you on everything and in the end they lost my long, long time business, will never go back. As others have noted the potato salad is crap now. I ordered their Italian hero. It cost $ 10.95. Wow a lot of money. You get ham, mortadella, capicola and salami. They put one thin slice of each meat on the sandwich, yes a total of four thin slices of meat. Pathetic, for 11 $, Insane. Done, place sucks and I truly hope the owner reads this post. I have been eating at Heidi’s since 1997 at the original on 32nd. Snarf blows this place away, subway is a better value.

First time visit to a Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli location. The place was very clean and spacious. Employees were very friendly and my order was prepared fast. The bread is definitely good quality, tasted fresh and hearty and the slices were huge. The roast beef was nothing special and the typical side of boring chips is the reason why I’m not giving this place a higher rating.

My girl and I split a turkey sandwich on this visit and while the sandwich was good… I should have opted for the potato chips instead of the potato salad. I remember Heidi’s potato salad being so much more… on this visit the consistency and texture was just… weird. Kind of tapioca-y…kind of sweet… and being a huge fan of potato salad, I was very let down by this. 4 stars turned to 3 just like that… while we’ll be back to Heidi’s because our good experiences have outweighed our bad, I have to say if this is the new formula for potato salad here, please go back to what you were doing. Other than that… always a good place to get a quick sandwich for lunch.

This location has apparently taken the place of the one that was on South Colorado. Though their sign remains, the shop has moved north to Colfax. It felt relatively small to the old location, though has adequate tables & seating. No parking lot here, but street parking shouldn’t be much of an issue. This is not the Heidi’s I remember. And I don’t believe it’s been an extraordinarily long time since I’ve been in. Not bad, The bread is still lovely: fresh, thick slices that are wonderfully delicious. But they no longer have havarti cheese which is a little bit of a bummer because turkey goes so well with that. And the potato salad was almost dessert-like. I really don’t understand how that happened… mistaking a tablespoon for a teaspoon of sugar, perhaps? But it was oddly sweet and there weren’t those lovely chunks of potato one is used to seeing in potato salad. Instead the potato seemed to be chopped relatively finely. This coupled with the sweetness left a lot to be desired. Who wants such a sweet accompaniment to a savory Sammy? Not I. And my man wasn’t terribly impressed either. But the service was pleasant & quick, the sandwich delicious despite the lack of a more interesting cheese(they still have all your typical standbys: provolone, cheddar, pepper jack), the pickle was spot on, and the place was clean.
