My husband I dined at New Saigon last night. The service was friendly, food was delicious and prices were reasonable. I would eat here again and I would recommend it to a friend. I was disappointed that we weren’t offered the free dessert, but overall we had a good experience.

Their phở is the best hands down! The broth is not too greasy, and savory. They give you so much meat too. After your meal they give you a complimentary dessert like which is sweet! Plus the manager guy there is super nice and welcoming.

New Saigon is a good all-around Vietnamese restaurant in the same vein as Nam Phuong though its menu is not as extensive. The restaurant is located in the Reynolds Crossing shopping center(same shopping center as Kroger, Quickly, and TJ House) at the corner of Steve Reynolds Blvd. and Old Norcross Rd. in Duluth. The restaurant is casual and has great, friendly service. It has the same look and feel as various phở(Vietnamese noodle soup) restaurants around town. However, this place offers much more than just phở. There’s bun(rice vermicelli noodle bowls, no broth), com(Vietnamese rice entrees), mi xao(crispy egg noodles), and other assorted dishes like mi vit tiem(duck noodle soup), bo kho(beef stew), bo luc lac(tender marinated beef), Vietnamese curry, and even some non-Vietnamese Asian-inspired dishes like beef chow fun(Cantonese noodles) and Singapore curry noodles. Lunch or dinner, expect to spend about $ 10 – 15 per person. This is a good value because the portion sizes are generous. They also offer free dessert(ice cream, flan) to every customer, which is unprecedented among Vietnamese restaurants in the Atlanta area. I don’t think you can go wrong with the phở, bun, or com. It all depends on what you’re in the mood for. Phở is flavorful, aromatic, and refreshing. Some people like to eat it when it’s cold out or when they’re sick. I think it’s great under any circumstances. Bun is an underrated Vietnamese dish(in my opinion) and is reliably tasty. Com is ideal when you’re really hungry and looking for something filling and hearty. Phở is priced at $ 7.50 for a regular-sized bowl, $ 8.50 for large. I like the phở broth here. It’s soothing and satisfying. The standard phở sides(raw bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño, lime) are fresh. You may have to ask for culantro. As is customary at phở restaurants, each table is equipped with Sriracha and hoisin sauces. Bun comes with spring rolls: fried crispy or wrapped fresh or both. If you order bun, you probably won’t want to order the same spring rolls as an appetizer. For example, you won’t want to order crispy spring rolls(cha gio) as an appetizer if you’re getting them in your bun(unless you really like them). You’ll want to order the fresh spring rolls(goi cuon) instead and vice versa. The spring rolls are tasty. The cha gio rolls come out piping hot. The goi cuon rolls are large and wrapped in soft rice paper. Of the two, goi cuon is healthier because it’s not fried. Both the bun and com come with nuoc mam(Vietnamese fish sauce). It goes great on both the noodles and rice. It’s salty, but apply as liberally as you like. Some people dump the whole(small) bowl of nuoc mam into their bowl of bun or on top of their steamed clump of white rice. I don’t go that far, but it is done by some. When it comes to phở, bun, and com, I like to order the«dac biet» versions. This means the dish comes with everything. The com dac biet comes with rice, scallions, a charbroiled pork chop, a «baked egg»(Vietnamese meatloaf), shredded pork, sliced tomato, and julienned cucumber and carrots. It is good stuff. The Vietnamese meatloaf consists of steamed egg and ground pork. It’s thick and delicious, probably my favorite part of the com plate. The shredded pork is dry and appetizing. The pork chop, served bone-in, is a little thin and greasy, but flavorful. The raw veggies(tomato, carrots, cucumber) are fresh and help to balance the meal out. I’ve only tried one of the non-Vietnamese items on the menu: the«Special Combination with Egg Noodles»(Hu Tieu Hoac Mi Dac Biet). It’s good. At least I don’t think it’s a Vietnamese dish. It’s very Chinese to me with its egg noodles and char siu roast pork. There’s shrimp in this dish too, both battered and unbattered, and lots of chopped spring onion. The desserts are OK. They’re free so that’s nice. The ice cream is vanilla ice cream drizzled in chocolate sauce and served atop a slice of banana bread. It’s one scoop. The flan consists of an entire serving. Both desserts come on a plate with a corny personalized message like«We [Love] U» or «We Miss U.» Service is terrific. The staff are friendly and attentive and orders come out from the kitchen reasonably quick.

We tried New Saigon today for lunch and were very impressed. The staff are very nice and attentive, and the food was reasonably priced, expertly seasoned and well portioned. We started with the appetizer special, which was 5 delicious dumplings for 2.50. My son thoroughly enjoyed the lunch special Chicken Katsu, which was lightly fried chicken breast cut into thin strips and served with tomato fried rice and a side salad with a very good sweet dressing. For only 6.95, the portions were very generous! My husband ordered the Chef’s Special steak which was served with vegetables and rice. It was perfectly cooked and he couldn’t even finish it. Ditto for my crispy noodles with chicken and shrimp. I hadn’t had crispy noodles before, and at first I thought they were going to be too crispy, but they softened up in the sauce and were absolutely delicious. Everything was flavorful and well presented. The complimentary flan or ice cream is a nice touch. We can’t wait to go back!

This is my go-to place for a bowl of phở; decent amount of noodle and generous amount of meat & veggies. I like the fact that the soup is not too greasy like some of the other places in the area. The restaurant itself is well maintained and the bathroom is very clean. The manager(owner?) is the nicest person who loves to add a smile or two on your face. I definitely recommend this place for a good dining experience.(Tip: don’t forget the free ice cream dessert in the end!)

This has been my favorite spot to eat Phở for many years, till recently. I think there is a NEWMANAGEMENT at this restaurant. Where to begin? First, Customer Service was definitely not the same. Waitress only came to our table once, just to serve our food. Never did they once ask, «Is there anything else that you need?» The restaurant staff was not attentive, the manager was to busy in his own little world eating his dinner, and all the waitress did was wait for the check to see how much tip they got. I felt very uncomfortable. Second, the food was not the same. It tasted bland with no seasoning, meat was rubbery with funky after taste, and it was just not Phở. I would definitely recommend eating elsewhere. They are just not business ready! I recommend I love Phở or Saigon Café.

Stay away! The food here got me sick I had the grilled chicken and filet. The problems are lack of flavor on chicken, chicken was grey, rice was dry, and it made me sick the rest of the day! This is my first and only experience so I will give it two stars since I did not have phở and the filet actually tasted good.

This has been a favorite spot of mine for years. My go to dish is the beef phở substituted with egg noodle and added Satay flavoring for that little extra kick. It is my cure for the common cold and that feel good dish that turns a bad day around. Since moving to Florida I make it a point to visit my friends at New Saigon whenever I am in town. The service is amazing. John and his staff is always attentive to his guests. I’ve never felt neglected and I have never had an unsatisfactory experience. If you are looking for great food, and great service you must visit. I’ll try to include a couple pictures to show you why I love New Saigon. Simply put, they make me feel loved.

It was my second visit my mother’s favorite Vietnamese spot. They did not disappoint. I had seafood phở and the broth was deeply flavored. Love this food!

Consistently excellent phở, always good service. Tried a few other dishes always good quality. Phở to go is done right, you have finish the cooking at home so the noodles are the correct firmness. The dinning area is open and not fancy. The seating is comfortable. I have never felt rushed and they are very attentive.

Manager served us and was super nice and attentive. Everything else, however, fell short. Table was super sticky, had to pour my water onto it and wipe it down myself. Fried egg rolls were good, but the fresh spring were meh and the sauce way too sweet. The phở was awful. Broth was bland, noodles undercooked, meat very weird tough texture. Also all the veggies were wilted, which makes me question the freshness of everything else here. Another nice thing they do here is free ice cream at the end! It’s served on top of a thin slice of banana bread. While the ice cream was good(probably store bought French Vanilla ice cream), the banana bread tasted dry and old…

The food here is phenomenal! I have tried multiple Phở restaurants in and around NE Atlanta and this place is the best. The owner and staff are friendly and they serve you quickly. The portions are huge and the broth is very tasty. Most other Phở joints have a much smaller bowl or broth that tastes old or not Completed. They also give you a free mini dessert at the end as well. Any of the beef Phở is great but try #203 with extra vegetables for a real treat. The location is a little off the beaten path but you will not be disappointed.

The satay flavored phở is AMAZING here. It’s a chinese twist to the popular vietnamese phở noodle soup dish. I’ve been coming here since it opened a while ago and I always love coming back. The food is great and the service even better. The owner is always present, always remembers who you are, and always checking to make sure your visit is a good one. To top things off, they give you a little complimentary dessert at the end of your meal(flan or banana bread with ice cream). Just the icing on the cake. Highly recommend New Saigon!

This place is our rotation because the food is great. Love the satay phở and their beef salad. The owner is always friendly and remembers us and what we like. It’s always nice to end with the free desert. Definitely recommend trying this place out.

I would recommend this place for one of those days when you don’t know where else to go eat or where you can accommodate for everyone’s cravings. I always get the fried rice or pad thai. They’re both simple dishes that they can’t get wrong. You also can’t go wrong with phở. :) You also get free dessert. It’s a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a piece of bread. I wouldn’t recommend eating the bread. It’s pretty dry and I think it’s there for the sole purpose of presentation. Anyway, I wouldn’t make a special trip out to this place, but if you’re in the area, it’s a nice lunch and dinner spot!

As much as I have been around this area, I’ve never noticed New Saigon before. Sorry for overlooking you guys! Having been sick for the better part of the past two weeks, I craved soups of all sorts to soothe my ailments and this was my latest stop. Even as a Vietnamese woman, most phở from restaurants taste about the same to me. This was the first restaurant where I actually thought to myself that the broth was very subpar. I will give it the benefit of the doubt that MAYBE my taste buds were a little off due to being sick so I will give this place another shot whenever I get the chance. What I absolutely adored about this place was the amazing customer service. The guys here are very friendly, funny, and sociable. The waiter actually asked whether we wanted raw or steamed bean sprouts. That’s when I told him I don’t even eat any of the accompaniments and only use the lime. So, when he returned, he gave us a plate of(probably) 3 – 4 whole cut limes. LOL! Still hungry? We were asked if we wanted a refill on noodles but we were stuffed. Save room for dessert, because your meal will come with complimentary flan or cake with ice cream. Another plus in my books! There is plenty of parking, as the restaurant shares the same strip as Kroger. «See you tomorrow!» all the waiters will say as you leave. Indeed. well, see you soon.

Awesome and great price! I would recommend the phở soup. The satay skewers were too small and not worth it. Great service. And love the personalized icecream

There’s only a few people that work here and they are all very nice and friendly with new guests and old guests alike. They are very attentive as well. I usually only have the phở which is the same as all other phở I’ve had so the people and the cleanliness of the restaurant is why I come here!

I love this spot! I usually grab groceries and call for take out! Happy man always behind the counter and cuz I’m vegetarian always double checks if I want vegetable broth too. Can’t be more thorough than that! Soon I need to dine in! But really enjoy the speedy delicious service. Had to drop my stars a bit as I recently discovered their inspection was below excellent. I despise this type of carelessness and hope it changes really soon.
