It has been under new ownership for a while now and it is lack luster. As a matter of fact, even though it is owned by the same owners as Mt. Shasta Super in Mt Shasta, Dunsmuir Supermarket doen’t even show the same level of quality. It has little or no organic foods(fresh or otherwise), no Prather Ranch meat, no organic chicken, or wild caught seafood. It pretty much offers the same stuff as when The Mitchells owned the store. I would shop here more if healthier food choices were offered. Maybe Dunsmuir is being judged as too«low rent» to offer organic and local quality food. It sure would be convenient to have a quality store to shop locally instead of traveling to Mt Shasta or worse, Redding or Medford.

I was excited about the new ownership. They did some minor remodeling but the still same olé IGA food. Prices have seemed to go up as well. Kind of disappointing. Worth the gas to drive to Mt Shasta. Prices are equivalent to Berryvale for much lower quality of product. If you don’t care where your food comes from and don’t want to drive out of Dunsmuir it is perfect! 2.5 Stars but I’ve rounded up
