I always have a great time when my husband and I go there. The staff is usually nice and courteous, even when it’s busy, and never really have complaints. Overall a great place!

This is by far my favorite cracker barrel I’ve been to! My go to is their meatloaf platter with mac and cheese and sweet baby carrots. It’s all southern style homemade cooking with a cozy little country store to shop in while you wait or after you eat. They also serve breakfast all day which is really delicious!

The food was good. We ordered grilled sirloin steak with salad and cornbread. The cornbread not so much. It was too dry. Our server we had was really rude. She brought the salad right with our entrée. Then she brought the check with our entrees.

The best Cracker Barrel we have ever been to. The ONLY Cracker Barrel in several different cities and several different states that my mother has had a positive experience at. Wonderful from the hostess to the manager. White chocolate French toast was amazing!

Great breakfast! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. If you like that home cooked taste and feel, Cracker Barrel is the place to!

Came here for breakfast on a weekend and didn’t have to wait to be seated. There’s an attached store with countless miscellaneous items for sale that you can browse if you have to wait. You can find everything from clothes to candy to books to accessories. Many of the items seem much more like collectibles, instead of the latest trend. The interior décor of the eating section reminds me of the interior of a cabin — lots of wood. Lots of random items along the walls. In addition, each table includes a peg game to keep you occupied while you wait for your food(or if you’re not enjoying your current company at the table and wish to be antisocial, though this is just as bad as being on your phone during the meal!). I had Uncle Herschel’s Favorite — 2 eggs(scrambled) with grits, Sawmill gravy, homemade buttermilk biscuits, and a couple slices of orange plus hashbrown casserole(or fried apples) and grilled(or fried) farm-raised catfish filet(or fried chicken tenderloin, grilled pork chop, sugar cured ham, 8oz hamburger steak, or hickory-smoked country ham), $ 7.79. My favorite part? The deliciously cheesy hashbrown casserole! I was not impressed with the catfish because 1) it was smaller and thinner than I anticipated, 2) it was a bit dry, and 3) it was too salty. The biscuits are okay, but not the best I’ve ever had in North Carolina. Similar to Uncle Herschel’s Favorite is the Sunrise Sampler — 2 eggs(over easy) with grits, Sawmill gravy, homemade buttermilk biscuits, and a couple slices of orange plus hashbrown casserole(or fried apples) and bacon(or smoked sausage or country ham), $ 7.99. I also tried a side of Pancakes, and it’s alright — just your typical plain ol’ pancakes with butter on top. The syrup comes in a cute little bottle. The problem is, it can be difficult to finish both the biscuits AND the pancakes due to all the flour! Prioritize, or come extra hungry if you’re planning to have both!

Great service and good food at a decent price. Just hard when everyone is going there @ the same time so be mindful of the time of day and stuff. Good for kids and big groups but I would recommend to make a reservation before hand. That way you aren’t waiting for seating longer then expected.

What has happened to be Cracker Barrel I know and love. My fiancé and I have been coming here for at least 3 years and have never been disappointed until today. We were seated and I asked for biscuits and gravey to start. When they were brought to the table I asked for the small plates to eat off of and was told Cracker Barrel has taken them away but the waitress said she brought us extra napkins. WHAT?! We’re we supposed to eat off of them? Called MGR to the table and he too said they didn’t have the small plates but would get us something. Magically the plates we asked for appeared and when the waitress SLID them on the table one hit my fiancé in the chest. Biscuits now cold and they brought out more. Tea and water empty. Our food took 30 minutes to come to the table. My food was barely room temperature but was on a hot plate.

This was a great Cracker Barrel off of I-85 with quick, friendly service. The food was great too — didn’t have any problems getting in and out of here within about 45 minutes. Not bad at all for a family of five on a road trip!

Hello today at 4pm me and my man Willie came out today. Our waiter name Bryant he’s doing a wonderful job by serving us today. The only thing is him checking and see if we are okay. Other then that the service was really well. Now just waiting for our food right now.

I love Cracker Barrel. I just do. I know, it’s a chain. I know, there’s a long-ass line any time you go on the weekend. I know, there’s a kitschish store you have to walk through to get to the restaurant. But, it’s Cracker Barrel, damnit. Grandpa’s Country Fried Chicken breakfast, eggs over medium, cheesy hashbrowns and sweet tea. Awww yea, I can feel my gut expanding already. Throw in ridiculously nice servers and I’m telling ya, I love this place.

Our waitress Jatoya was very friendly and polite. We didn’t no what the name of the meal was but we described to Jatoya what we wanted and she made recommendations. She took care of everything for us. The cooks didn’t cook my eggs the way I wanted them. I wanted sunny side up crispy on the buttom. I also sent my turkey bacon back as it was not cooked enough. The manager brought everything back and it was great. The people are very nice here and right on the ball. Jatoya was always there to help us with anything we needed.

Pros: Convenient dining for large groups with or without kids, improved menu, typical stuff to do while awaiting the table(i.e., play with toys and browse the shop). Cons: Slow service the last 2 times we were there despite it not being THAT busy, something was wrong with almost every entrée(e.g., too cold, not enough flavor, slightly overcooked). Overall, I agree with the other reviewer: you either love it or you hate it, but they have GOT to hurry up!

Cracker Barrel — southern cooking with biscuits and gravy. Even though it was getting into the lunch hours, I asked the hostess to bring me a breakfast menu. Eggs, bacon, pancakes. Yummy. Everything was cooked just right and I was back on the road again. I do wish that they had a wi-fi signal here, but I was able to do okay on 4G without it.

So I had to go here for my Dad’s birthday. I didn’t mind going here as a kid– but now that I’ve eaten at better local places, I tend to avoid most chain places. ANYWAY– Our waitress was a ditz. Sorry but I had to ask her multiple times for the simplest things. The food was ok– chicken fried chicken was a little dry. The sides were fine, nothing special, heavy ingredients because it’s southern cookin’. I’ve always liked their tacky country store. It’s everything anyone’s «grandma bobby jo» would ever want.

«Decent homestyle country cooking from a chain» We don’t go there often, but I’m always vaguely pleasantly surprised each time we go. It’s a combination of restaurant and«old country» store, with classic snacks/desserts, toys, and household items(they’re famous for their rocking chairs). They also have a rather random selection of more modern items that don’t seem to fit the theme, like Webkinz stuffed animals. My focus is the restaurant: Cracker Barrel is probably best for its breakfast food– they serve breakfast all day and have biscuits & gravy, eggs, sausages, pancakes, muffins– all the usual. The serving size for pancakes is huge, even off the kids’ menu– easily enough for a hungry adult(or two hungry kids). Prices are moderate– not as cheap as Waffle House, but better quality and still good price. Lunches and dinners taste good, and priced well. Again, the focus is country cooking– lots of fried items(fried steak, chicken fried chicken, chicken livers), meatloaf, etc. But they do cater some for more health conscious eaters by having a decent selection of salads, grilled meats(I love their spicy grilled catfish), and low-carb offerings. You can get 2 or 3 sides, ranging from mashed potatoes and gravy to mac & cheese to fried okra to baby carrots. Every meal comes with a basket of biscuits and corn muffins. I like the corn muffins, but the biscuits come off as very plain to me. Service is usually good, though they do get busy and may not watch if you’ve finished your drink. Again, the pricing for dinner is quite reasonable. My family of four(2 kids, aged 10 and 5) ate their tonight, and the total was $ 30 including tip. Cleanliness is only minimally OK… it is a little gross to sometimes see grease spots on the paper menu when you get it. There are also mini-toys on the tables as well as checkerboards around the restaurant for playing, and I don’t get the impression those are cleaned as much(especially given people with dirty hands probably just used them). This restaurant has had a low NC Sanitation score in the past(90 in February, 2009, partly for washed plates still having food debris!), but right now it’s just-OK at 95. I give it 3 stars– decent food, up a little for good price and value, down a little for not great cleanliness.
