This Subway has always looked awful, inside and out, as far back as I or anyone else can remember. The building and the area itself is probably owned by a slum lord since it is woefully in need of repairs. The store has been updated somewhat on the inside but it never looks clean or feels comfortable. There is always a loud humming sound, making it hard to hear the meek employees talk to you. The employees are nice for the most part, but their collective sandwich making skills leave much to be desired. You’ll often get a disproportionate amount of toppings(way too much lettuce, not enough tomatoes, etc) and the bread is cut with a lack of precision. The latter wouldn’t bother me that much, but when the bread is cut as a massive chunk on the bottom and a paper-thin top piece, they might as well give you an open face sandwich. The food quality, portions and presentation aside, are below par of your typical Subway. Sure, it is still tasteless vegetables and questionable meat, but the toppings are room temperature. A warm, mushy, tasteless tomato; yum. Maybe because it is one of the few chain restaurants in the area and near Stony Brook University that people bother going here(hell, that’s part of my excuse). But this store is in dire straights and needs to change. They need to deal with the property owner to get a better parking situation(at least repave it), spruce up the building, give the employees better wages so they don’t look miserable, and update the equipment(especially the gnarly window AC). Oh, and for God’s sake, get a better supplier for your food so it at least tastes look something.

I’m the first person to complain about an unsatisfactory experience at a restaurant. but I don’t understand the immense hate people appear to have for this subway. It’s your typical subway location with teenagers and college students working there. The food is not great. but the food’s not supposed to be great. it’s subway. It’s passable fast food and exactly what you’d expect from a fast food sandwich chain. Now I’m not recommending this place. but these people saying, «It’s the worst subway I’ve ever been to» is a little harsh.

DONOTEATHERE!!! Didn’t even want to rate it one star! Worst Subway I’ve ever been to. I asked for breaded chicken on my sandwich and the lady working there said its not breaded chicken its chicken parmesan. She came back and brought breaded chicken which I noticed had green spots that I assumed was mold. After she closed to sandwich the owner came and said the chicken is not good because the fridge was kept at the wrong temperature. Even though the chicken had mold on it, she gave me the same bread and cheese that touched the chicken, I expected her to change it. I noticed that the door had a Zagat rated 2012 sticker on it which surprised me. Also, the bathroom had a strong urine smell and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for days. Workers were very rude. Overall, this place is disgusting and I’ve never had such a bad experience at Subway. If you want great food around this area, go to the Curry Club which is right next door, it’s outstanding if you like Indian cuisine.

Fraudulent practices at this location. April’s special of 6 dollar for any footlongs doesn’t apply here. Worker upcharges for big Philly by charging for a steak footlong with extra meat. Go to 347 location instead to be treated better.

You would think subway reps would come to check up on this place. Worst run subway ive ever been to. The workers are very weird(in a scary way). The actual sandwich sucks.

Took my kids here last Friday at about 7:30PM. Big mistake. When I asked for a meatball sandwich, the worker said I should have gotten here earlier as the meatballs were all gone by 4. WTF?! So, being the nice guy I am, I asked what other specials they had. He pointed to some cold cuts. When I asked what a particular cold cut was, he said it was«some sort of meat». I looked at my kids, and they looked at me. We decided to get out of there. If the worker could not identify what it was, how the hell could I? I just don’t get how someone could run a place like that. Word to the wise– if you can’t identify it, don’t eat it! Sylvester knows best!

The workers here are incompetent… I never knew a chain store can be so much crappier than other stores.

Wow, a subway that’s cash only. They do exist. Best part is, the only way you’d know is by reading a tiny post-it they’ve taped to the glass on the line. When I asked if they had an ATM or knew of one, they pointed outside and said ‘check over there’. Not to mention the place looks gross and dirty, who is running this joint?! Definitely never going back.

This Subway location is not my favorite. It needs an exterior and interior makeover. The food is OK

Biggest load of shit I’ve ever experienced at a Subway. I went to get a quick sandwich on my lunchbreak, waited 20 minutes for an untoasted, veggie sandwich(should take 5 minutes) that was made horribly by the most incompetant people I’ve ever witnessed. THEN they tell me, AFTER I WASTEDMYENTIRELUNCHBREAK. that they weren’t taking credit cards that day. They were unapologetic, and just plain rude. Don’t even bother going there. There are better subways. This one is Crap.

I will be a bit more generous in my review. This place is very small but has all the standard amenities of a Subway restaurant. You know what will get. The food meets the standard Subway quality but does not exceed it. The décor needs a lot of improvement.

Very crappy looking Subway restaurant. Looks like a trailer. Uneven, bumpy parking lot. Not the best place to sit and eat. This Subway is like a revolving door of employees. I’ve must have seen literally dozens of different workers withing 3 days. Also –sometimes you might have a friendly person, sometimes not. Many workers go to Stony Brook U. Never had any trouble with the food though, but then again nothing special to talk about for chain restaurants. Located right across from Curry Club(which is not great and expensive indian food)
