I probably spend way too much time here, but it’s my favorite place in PJ! The food is phenomenal and the beer selection is excellent. I highly recommend The Clucker!

My boyfriend and I love this place. We’re here every Friday night. The sandwiches are amazing and the beer selection is unlike any other in the area. I became a beer club member just so I could have access to some of the selective beers they get in exclusive to members. I’ve had almost every sandwich and grilled cheese on the menu and I’ve never been disappointed. My boyfriend only gets the Baja chicken and is obsessed. Just go here.

Came in the afternoon with my friends one day and we received great service. I was really happy with the cheese board the«cheese expert» helped us to select based on our tastes and preferences. Will definitely be back when I’m in the Port Jeff area.

Loved this fast casual cheese shop. Had lunch here last week, and really enjoyed the New England clam chowder soup and Trifecta grilled cheese sandwich. Looking forward to going back again soon and trying some more cheeses. Came back again after my previous good experience. But this time it missed the mark. My husband order coffee and it took 20 mins for our waitress to bring his drink. The place was not busy at all, very slow service. People came in after us and got their food way faster. We tried the poutine which we knew would take a while to cook as we were told but when it arrived at our table it was totally cold and mushy. This time I tried the Scamorza and it wasn’t very tasty, and it was kind of dry. My husband had the Homestead and he said it was just ok. Disappointed the second time around.

Finally came in here last night for my birthday with the boyfriend after wanting to come for months. We are HUGE cheese fans so we’ve been dying to come. I’ll start off with saying we will DEFINITELY be back. We walk in and the place was pretty busy. We were seated pretty immediately, at a high top next to the bar against the wall. The place definitely smells of cheese, but we loved it. The server came back with menus and away she went. We waited a while before she came back over to take our order. Probably 10+ minutes. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because our waitress wasn’t exactly the most attentive, but it was because it seemed that it was only her serving the entire restaurant. The man behind the cheese counter who was plating the cheeses would serve the plates occasionally but it seemed our waitress was by herself. It was definitely stressful for her and it showed. I don’t remember her name but she was very friendly and was helpful when we asked her questions. We decided on doing two cheese pairings with beers, and a plate of sweet sopressata, salami and prosciutto. The cool thing is, you choose an intensity and they do the rest. The type of cheese and beer/wine that come out are a surprise and picked out by the cheese master! I got the moderate, boyfriend got intense. We also got a bread basket. The plating was cool, and the cheese master(as we called him) wrote everything down on a card so we knew what was what. He brought over our cheeses, and we asked him to let us know what was going on and how we should attempt it. He was AWSOME. Super friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about not only the cheeses but the beers as well.(Maybe the owner? Just awesome very knowledgeable cheese & beer guy? We do not know.) He apologized for the wait, as there was a pretty decent wait for the food, but we didn’t mind as we knew it was busy. He explained where to start and how to get the best flavor combinations and off we went. The moderate was awesome. I got a brie, a cheddar and a bleu. I LOVE brie so I was stoked when I saw it on my plate. the bleu was also super creamy. Ugh, so good. I have pictures of the plates with the names of everything. All my cheeses were delicious, but I wasn’t a fan of the cheddar and the beer paired with that when put together. Boyfriend loved it, I guess my palette is just weird. Loved them separately, though. I have to note: with my bleu cheese came a raspberry fruity beer. Those two together were INCREDIBLE. I couldn’t believe the flavor sensation going on in my mouth lol. It was totally ridiculous, it was so good. The intense was what it is, intense. The cheese master suggested starting lighter and going darker, for both of us. For the intense, it really got intense. he had midnight moon gouda(I remember that because we’ve had it before and we LOVEIT, he was stoked he got that), an aged cheddar and a very intense bleu. The cheddar was awesome, and the bleu was intense but delicious. His bleu came with a super serious stout. I’m not a fan of stouts at all, but he liked the combination. We decided to just stick with the cheese/beer pairings and come back for more.(playoff hockey is on. We GOTTA watch.) We left feeling relatively full, not packed, but good. The menu has so any different sandwiches, we made a pact to come back and each try a grilled cheese that looked AMAZING. Overall, we’re definitely coming back. If they had one more server on, it probably would have been better but it was good enough. If you’re in town and you love cheese, come here. You don’t want to miss whats going on here!

You might be thinking«Why would I spend nearly $ 10 on a grilled cheese? I can make one at home», and you’d be half right. You can probably make one at home, but it won’t be nearly as delicious as C’est Cheese’s take on it. I went there with a group of 3, and we each ordered something different. We all ended up making each other take bites of our sandwiches, and when it was done, we wanted to order more. Hands down, best grilled cheese I’ve ever had.

Stopped in for dinner last night and it was wonderful! Great menu! We did a cheese tasting with a red blend and each got a sandwich. I had the Baja and my boyfriend had the Tuscany and both were very tasty. The atmosphere is very chill, they even had live music which was quite good. Overall a delightful experience!

They really do have such a crazy large stash of cheese, a lot of it though I find at uncle Giuseppe’s for like a buck or two less. That’s bothers me, one because I want cheese I can’t get elsewhere and uncle Gs has crazy prices as it is, and Cest cheese is even more than that. Anyway, some of the other cheeses are a bit more special and although you sorta feel it’s stuffy, don’t. You can try everything you want. When you finally decide what you want you’ll be paying a pretty penny. Don’t spring for any of the baked goods, they are terrible. I like the charm of the love lane cheese shop out in mattituk a lot more but Cest cheese does have a cheesy lil place in my hearts as well.

C’est Cheese is a splendid way to spend a Saturday eve. Lured by cheese nibbles at a wine tasting at Mora’s Fine Wine & Spirits, our party had to find the source. I’m so glad we did. C’est Cheese is an adorable wine(and beer!) bar in the heart of Port Jeff. I was fully expecting to walk in, buy cheese and head home. While you can certainly do that staying is much more fun. Food menus cater to the party of one, two or twelve.(I use that number to guestimate the size of the table in the private room.) We opted to build an a la carte cheese plate.(One cheese + one accompaniment = $ 8, two for $ 12, three for $ 20.) The owner(an incredibly nice dude with a man bun, don’t hold it against him) pleasantly walked us through some options. We knew we wanted cheese, but not how to best approach it. He was polite, effortlessly knowledgable and funny. Who can beat that? They offer wine/beer flights, small plates($ 7 – 11), large plates(~$ 20), cured meat plates, salads($ 8.95), grilled cheese($ 8.95), sandwiches($ 9.50), dessert and kid menus!(Don’t bring you kids unless they’re quiet. I will be bringing a date here.) Oh! And excellent french press coffee. Wine-o-wednesday offers $ 10 off a bottle of wine. I can’t imagine how fun trivia night will be(Tuesdays, with cash prizes) and live music Fri/Sat night(7 – 10). Growlers are welcome. Try a beer and take more home. If I could walk here… well, I’d be portly.

Went here on a whim one afternoon and I’m glad I wandered in here! The concept of this place is great and unlike anything else in the area. I’m a cheese lover and especially love pairing cheese with beer or wine. I am more of a beer drinker so when I saw that they will arrange a beer and cheese pairing for you I was quite excited! They have three options: mild, moderate, and and intense. I went with the intense option because I like big strong flavors. They have a pretty big variety of cheeses available and they picked three of these and paired them with beer for my plate. I really like the idea that you get to pick a flavor intensity but the plate you get is somewhat of a surprise so that you get to try out flavors that you wouldn’t normally. The only reason I deducted a star was because I was not a huge fan of the beers that they paired some of the cheeses with. I’m pretty big into craft beers so I was somewhat disappointed to find that they paired one of the cheeses with a fruity beer that tasted more like juice. However, I will definitely be coming back here and trying some other cheeses!

Aesthetic — casual Service 3⁄5 — awkward, not attentive yet patient, kind. Poutine 2⁄5 — tots tasted like they came out of the freezer. The gravy was boring and not salty enough. 2 stars for using actual cheese curds which most places don’t– but the curds should have been more melty/hot. Cheese 4⁄5 … Cheese is awesome, but give us more bread! I would give this place another chance and I may be back if I am in the area again since cheese is always amazing. My advice to the business: up the quality of non-cheese food items! Cheers~!

I was home for the holidays, and my dad and I decided to try C’est Cheese. It’s not too far from where he lives, and it had received mostly favorable reviews online. DECOR&ATMOSPHERE Walking in, the décor is mostly modern-chic. It has a café style feel to it, and the wall decorations reflected the Christmas season:) I loved the fact that there was a lot of natural light filtering in. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgable, and the service was prompt. We didn’t have to wait long for our food at all. FOOD My dad ordered the provolone grilled cheese sandwich, and I ordered the PMT sandwich on sourdough. Both sandwiches were nicely presented and tasted great. The grilled cheese sandwich was served with a side salad. The greenery looked fresh(not wilted), and my dad commented that it was a «very filling» sandwich, which left him satisfied but not too stuffed. The PMT was served with a pickle. The sandwich was simply presented and tasted great. I would’ve preferred it to be cut into quarters(versus halves) as it would’ve made it a bit easier to eat, but overall, it was a satisfying sandwich that left me feeling perfectly satiated. We both ordered Long Island merlot, and we appreciated the display of cheeses in the display case as well as the cheese-related gifts. There was one, unisex bathroom. It was clean and well maintained. NEGATIVES Parking: If you’ve never been to the village of Port Jefferson, just be prepared to search for parking– especially during peak hours. Cleanliness: C’est Cheese lost a couple of points for me due to the fact that some of the tables weren’t bussed. Ex: we wanted to sit at a table in the corner, by the window, but there were dirty plates on it. Also, there were a few, tiny flies that kept flying around us(and other patrons) while we tried to eat our food. It kind of made it feel a little dirty. Wait Space: We were seated right away. However, if there were more than a few people coming in at the same time, there isn’t any place for patrons to wait to be seated.

I’ve been obsessed with trying this place since I saw a photo on the weekly Unilocal, finally got there and I say«YES» to C’est cheese… loooooved it, it’s my new fav!!! Before I even get to the food…& drink :) I have to say the service was fantastic!!! Very helpful with picking out what you will like. I had the mild cheese pairing with beer. It was really good, here’s what I got: Port Salut paired with Allagash white… perfecto! then Manchego paired with an Alesmith red IPA, fantastic! and last but not least Beemster Vlaskaas with Bear Republic Grand Am… aaaah! Their menu has so much to pick from beside pairings. Hot sammies, cold ones, grilled ones, soup. The beer & wine list has really good stuff, really good. I just love this place, it’s fantastic in every way!!!

I had some time to kill last weekend so I looked up some wine and cheese shops on my trusty Unilocal app and came across C’est Cheese! what a great find this was. this cheese shop is in the center of Port Jefferson’s Main St, near many other shops. they have a big showcase of all different cheeses from all over. they also have seating and a food menu. the menu is loaded with delicious items featuring all their cheeses. I was with two friends, and we split the cheese plate, baked Brie, and the French salad. it was MORE than enough food, that we even had left overs. will definitely try to take the ride out to port Jeff again and get some more cheeeeeseeeee!!!

C’est Cheese? C’est YES! I love this place! I was passing through Port Jefferson on a Sunday afternoon with my family after a long day of pumpkin picking and farm stands. We were all on the hungry side and craving a decent sandwich. My daughter does a quick search on Unilocal and up pops C’est Cheese. Lots of stars, lots of reviews, this place must be good. The restaurant had a decent crowd for a Sunday and we were seating immediately. Let me begin by saying this is the kind of place I would like to come back to over and over. They have such and amazing selection of wine, beers, cheese, and sandwiches, one trip will not do this place justice. Since we were hungry we started off sharing a Bavarian pretzel. So delicious! You get a large hot pretzel, well salted, served with a side of whole grain mustard and cheddar cheese sauce. I kept alternating between the mustard and the cheese sauce, they were both sooooo good. For the main course my wife and I ordered the hot Cubano sandwiches. Served with just the right amount of hot Swiss cheese oozing out the sides, these sandwiches we delicious and highly recommended. The sandwich comes with Swiss cheese, ham, cornichon pickles(those tiny little guys that taste so good), and mustard. The sandwich is serves with a side of salad lightly dressed. The perfect meal for a hungry bunch! My daughter had the Cheedar Mac & Cheese, she loved it! The Mac & Chese also came with a full salad. She was very happy with her choice too. Now, let’s me tell you why we’ll be coming back so soon. Cheese tastings, wine and cheese pairings, and beer list that literally goes on for pages. Seriuously, everything here looked so good. I COUNTED26DIFFERENTSANDWICHESONTHEMENUTOCHHOSEFROM!(Sorry for yelling but I was very impressed with the selection). Cheese tastings are $ 16 for a selection of 7 different cheese, that a great deal! They also have some decent deals on A la carte cheese plates, not bad. We loved C’est Cheese! We will be back, soon, very soon, Highly recommended.

I came here recently with a friend for lunch and we were both just satisfied with our visit there. Nothing more, nothing less. We came during the week so we had our choice of seating. We scanned our menus and everything looks pretty tasty. I got chowder and Mac n cheese She got a pepper jack and jalapeño grilled cheese We split a cheese platter They started us off with some small green salads that neither of us ate. It was made up of mescaline greens and some sort of very cold orange salad dressing that neither of us cared for. My soup was just average, it was certainly good but not the best I ever had. When I got my Mac and cheese I was really disappointed to find that it looked better than it tasted. I cannot remember the cheeses that were in it but it had NO bite to it! So zing or zest of flavor. When it hit my tongue it had a bitter bland sort of taste to it so I really did not enjoy it all to much. My friend said she thought her sandwich was«okay» and«nothing special.» The cheese plate was defiantly good but again, I’ve had better else where. I don’t want to sound like a brat by any means but the cheese was just bland. Nothing had any type of spiced flavor to it. It was just all white in colors, nothing special to look at. The restaurant itself is in a great location, nice and bright and clean. I’ve heard they have trivia night so I would t mind going back one night and trying that and some wine.

This quaint cheese shop is a really nice spot located in the heart of Port Jeff! I’ve heard many great things about C’est Cheese and I’m so happy I finally tried it. Came midday on a Thursday with some friends. We all tried the cheese pairing — for $ 16 each, you pick either wine or craft beer and the intensity of cheese that you’d prefer and they do the rest. We went with wine paired with mild cheeses and were all pleased with the 3 pairings that they chose for us. The ambiance is very cozy and the server was sweet and knowledgeable on what she was serving us. In addition to the cheese pairings, C’est Cheese also offers cheese plates, sandwiches, grilled cheeses, and salads. This place is awesome and I’ll definitely be back to try more.
