I just had the best vegetarian meal of my life! Now Rockfish certainly is not a vegetarian restaurant, but they make sure the options are not a house salad and ravioli. I ordered the vegetarian platter which consisted of the chef’s choice of vegetables and starches so it was a pleasant surprise as to what showed up which I enjoyed. Tonight’s dish included asparagus, brussels sprouts, haricots verts, roasted and mashed potatoes, and spinach among other items. My sister had the pork carnitas tacos and we shared a grilled romaine salad, both of which were delicious. Rockfish has a bar on each level and the whole feel was inviting and laid back. Our server(Guinevere?) was friendly, fun and efficient. We will definitely be visiting Rockfish again during our next trip to the Vineyard.

Enjoyed a fabulously prepared cod dish here last night. Husband not as fortunate with the cheese burger that came without cheese. Apple crisp wasn’t warm even after 2x. Did enjoy immensely the pumpkin cannoli a few days earlier. Will b back but only for cocktails and apps next!

Great cocktails. Really enjoyed the smoked salmon flatbread special. We will be back! Went back and had another great meal. The pork belly is fantastic!

My fiancé and I came here for lunch and it was so good we came back for dinner! We started with Sam at the bar. She was so friendly and made us amazing cocktails. The ambiance is fresh and fun! Lobster roll and fried oysters for lunch we were so impressed that later that day after walking through Edgartown and seeing the sights to go back and have dinner there! That was the best decision we made our whole trip. We had the most amazing waitor, Victor, upstairs where you can smell the wood burning open fire the aromas are out of this world. We had the scallop and risotto dish which was absolute perfection, then the tuna with some kind of pasta that was again delicious and finally the steak. Can not say enough about this place and am so happy we made the decision to come here twice in one day! Culinary dream come true. Thank you Anthony, you’ve really outdone yourself this time!

Walked in at last minute after the 4th of July parade and they accompanied our party of 5 foodies with low expectations. That all changed once we tasted the Brussel sprout and chopped salad appetizers. Sprouts were amazing and the salad dressing was just the right amount. The waitress brought us tastes of wines when we couldn’t decide. We each ordered a different entrée and all were great. The Sea Bass special on corn and polenta was perfected grilled and seasoned great. The swordfish with spaghetti cooked in Chablis with garlic Parmesan, red pepper and arugula was great as were the sea scallops in a fresh pea risotto. The flatbread entrée was good but the least interesting one we ordered. The strawberry shortcake biscuit was very good but not great. The brownie with fudge walnut topping was just ok. The brownie cake was dry. Service was perfect and wine good, although selection was limited. Overall, best meal we had on the island all week.

Enough with the bull$%*t reviews of how people in Edgartown drink alot, or they’re cute and meals are pricey. If you have to state your review like that you’re shallow, cheap and most likely ugly. I love Rockfish… I love the new menu… I love food and Rockfish does not disappoint. I love Rockfish. New menu, amazing beef tenderloin crudo flat bread and a fried oyster bowl entrée with creamed spinach and mash potatoes was a fat kids dream come true. Dear Lord… I can’t stop dreaming about it. Let’s back up a bit. I’m not a pretty person but I sure love my drink and the bartenders know how to make a drink. Not talking about loads of alcohol mixed with some soda or tonic water but a true concoction with drinkable flavors that leave your taste buds craving more. The espresson martinis, the Prickly Pear Margarita is not only visually eye candy but your taste buds will orgasm! There wasn’t one menu item that disappointed. The staff were right on and nearby if you needed something. If you’re offended by pretty people, old people, young people or fat kids like me then stay away. This place is a cool eclectic mix of not just Edgartown but islanders, tourists, boaters and vacationers. The price range from $ 30 to $ 40 is not overpriced but island pricing and is even lower priced for fine dining in Edgartown. This new menu is a hit!

We arrived just as they opened last week, about 5:30. Of course the place was empty but good refurbishing of an old spot so enjoyed seeing the new design without a crowd. We returned again this week as the service is great and stone fire for a yummy flat bread on the menu– something to check out. Handsome bar upstairs with windows everywhere.

Rockfish is a perfect match for Edgartown. It’s great looking, has two bars not one(lots of happy drinking goes on in Edgartown), offers pricey food and attracts an upscale crowd of year rounders and visitors. They also have the pizza oven from Lattanzi’s, a former Edgartown favorite. It’s a hot, hot, hot spot in terms of energy and celebrations for any reason, but be prepared to fork over the big bucks for very small portions that may not be too memorable. I was really stunned by my tiny little salad which I paid over $ 10 for and was just plain dull. It was my main course(they advertise and push small plates), and I was really taken aback. I don’t eat meat but was lusting after my friend’s very expensive roast chicken dish, that is for sure. Even the small salads at the dreaded chain restaurants off island are bigger, fatter and more tasty than this. Not to mention less expensive. I’m very used to the high prices on the Vineyard, but that salad was a new low. We have been there twice with a group each time, and both times they messed up with the check. They did fix it, but their batting average is questionable. Cocktails are really good, service is slow and detached, and customers, including me and my friends of course, are all having a good time. Drop in for some fun, the possibility of a new love interest and some laughs, but bring lots of $$ and be prepared to raid the fridge when you get home.

Rockfish is a two-level restaurant in the center of Edgartown’s touristy harbor area. We went there for the first time and had read a few reviews on different websites, some of them not so good. Well, we do not agree with any of the put-downs. This is a restaurant with a different kind of approach to food than the run of the mill kind. If you like heaping portions to stuff your gut, don’t go, if you want happy children, don’t go, if you only like standard fare, don’t go. Rockfish is kind of an American Tapas restaurant. The portions are small but of outstanding quality and taste, not cheap, but with mostly organic ingredients from local farmers. Their flatbreads from the upstairs brick oven are great, mushroom onion truffle oil exceptional(if you want pizza, go to a pizza joint). We thoroughly enjoyed all dishes we ordered and shared. The beer and drink selection is very nice. They have a bar on each level. On the night when we were there they played great blues in the background, and the tv at the bar had the sound muted(thanx) The décor is rustic/modern/industrial mix and very pleasant. We will definitely return and bring friends for a relaxed evening with some shared plates, some drinks and conversation. We are glad Rockfish is on the island. P. S.: good luck with paahking ;)

Fantastic new addition to Edgartown. Two floors of great décor, two large bars and plenty of seating. Displayed prominently upstairs is a large stone oven which gives a nice glow to the floor. The bar staff are eager to serve and friendly. Like most of my haunts in etown parking can be challenging on weekends but this is worth driving around a few times to visit.

I decided to try this place the other night, quiet down stairs when we walked in. Decided to sit upstairs at the pizza bar and it was busy for a Monday. The waitress was nice, and the service was ok. We ordered apps and drinks, then asked her to come back for our following course of food. We got the Tasso ham fritters and a flat bread. When it got put in front of me I laughed at how little food there was. 8 $ for 3 tater tots and a dot of aoli, 2 micro green springs were a subtlety way of the kitchen laughing at the money they make with this plate. I couldn’t believe it. The flat bread was about the size of a island size slice of pizza,(half the size of a New York slice) for 12 $ and not even close to a decent amount of toppings. After eating 3 tots I was more hungry than when I walked in, so I got a different flat bread than my buddy. There was literally 2 slices of pepperoni on the whole thing. I walked right into that one. I couldn’t convince myself to get 22 $ more invested into this and get a main. This experience was unfortunate, I wanted to like this new year round place a lot. There’s not a lot to choose from this time of year, it would be great to feel like I got my money’s worth, but I guess that’s too much to expect in EDG. I’ve been a cook on island a long time and I know how far my dollar should stretch. This was just a place I was happy to leave with under 55 $ for 2 guys for just apps and 2 beers on special. We didn’t indulge in the 12 $ cocktails although they sounded good. The service was about 4 stars, atmosphere gets 5 stars because of the pizza oven and the upstairs/down stairs bar scenes, someone put money into this place. Food gets 1 star, you guys got to step the game up or this will be a one season wonder this summer. I can’t justify going back again. Cheers
