I was just in this restaurant and I’m EXTREMELY disappointed. I live on the island year around and frequented this restaurant quite regularly this past winter. Today I came in to have dinner solo and was completely ignored when I came to the counter. I made eye contact with the person working the counter and said hi with no response. I sat down and waited for the young lady to finish packing up the order she was working on figuring she was busy. She came from behind the counter and went to two different tables without acknowledging that I was there. In going to these tables back and forth to get a couple dishes she passed by me. I told myself on the fourth time if she didn’t say anything I would leave. She passed by me a fifth time, not a look, word, grimace, nothing. I write this review not to make Isola look bad, but in hopes that the customer service improves. I will not be returning to this restaurant, but I hope no one else is treated the same way. Especially a local that believes in supporting others that live here year round.

Very good service. Rigotta app was amazing. Also had cavatelli main course with side of fried polenta. It all was excellent as was Paul our server. Not many Italian restaurants in the island but this was phenomenal!

I decided to try Isola after hearing that they had the best pizza in Edgartown, with gluten free options. Food: My experience is more unique, as I ordered the Herbivore pizza without cheese, and with gluten free crust. The pizza would have been great, however the crust on my pizza was seriously burnt. So much on the ends, in fact, I was practically eating what looked and tasted like blackened crackers. My suggestion would be to either find a new recipe for the gluten free crust, or make sure it is not left in the oven too long. That being said, the other people I was with thoroughly enjoyed their normal, thin crust pizzas! Service: A-ok. Ordered three pizzas, so our food took a little longer. Not too crowded on Sunday night though, which was a relief. Ambiance: Casual dinner spot with a few tables outside. Great dinner option for Edgartown if you like thin crust pizza. For those with food allergies who are looking for an accommodating pizza place, Isola is a great option. Just watch out for the gluten free crust!

The staff was very friendly and the food was very good and flavorful! Everyone enjoyed their meals from the pork, mussels, and the fish!!! Only thing was we waited a long time between the appetizers and the main course. Definitely will go back!!!

Just ordered 2 large pies and one medium for 6 people. It barely fed 6 normal sized adults. The pizza has NOTHING to it. We ordered extra cheese and it barely had any on it. This pizza is some of the worst we’ve ever had. Pathetic. It is a mystery to me how it has more than one star. Do yourself a favor and order from«The Pizza Place». The name may be redundant but the pizza is way better.

Isola is great! We had read the good reviews and were eager to try a place so close to where we were staying(Katama). They only take reservations for parties of 6 or more, so we called around 5:30 and they had tables open. It is not a big menu, but is has very nice choices and they have several specials that are offered as well. The four of us each had something different. I had the pasta with clams(homemade lemon-rosemary wavy spaghetti). Delicious! My sister has the tile fish special. Delicious again. My brother had the cavatelli with homemade sausage and rabe. Excellent. And to our palate’s delight, Dad had the roasted chicken with ricotta whipped potato. Fantastic! Service we very good. Portion size very nice. Prices very reasonable for the quality and location. Go there! One tip — while strictly speaking Isola is on Church St, the side of the restaurant is on Chruch street and you have to walk around to get to the entrance.

The only decent pizza on island. Coming from the New York area, I think I’m a little spoiled when it comes to good pizza. Every year that we’ve come here since I was a child I have tried every new pizza establishment, to be disappointed or just disgusted time and time again. But this pizza is pretty good. It’s thin crust, which I like and the sauce doesn’t taste like catsup or sugar or whatever the other pizza restaurants are passing off as gravy. I wish they had a more diverse take away menu but other than that, I have no complaints.

good new little pizza joint although they ran out of pizza the night we went last year. This year seemed better organized, pies were yummy but cold when we picked them up. Definitely better to eat in!

Pretty good food and all well prepared. It’s not the most amazing place, but for Martha’s Vineyard, it’s about as good as it gets. We had a mushroom app that was quite good. One downside was that it gets very loud at dinner time — was hard to hear others at the table.

After multiple nights of eating mainly seafood, my son was begging for something different. Everything was absolutely delicious! Creative menu with amazing apps and entrees. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. Highly recommend this place. It’s not inexpensive but worth it.

Lovely patio. Personal service. Large portions. Food was delicious! We had the lobster bolognese, the herb gnocchi, steak frites, and drunken pappardelle. All dishes were great! For apps we had ricotta, clams, burratta and arancini. Yummy!!! We will certainly return!!!

They have pizza, takeout and restaurant. We went straight for their restaurant. Excellent food. We ordered the fresh berry soup, local clams and mushroom to start. I was already impressed by how creative their chef is. The main entrees are also very good. We had lamb and cavatelli, both oh which are highly recommended. The dessert we shared was the warm peach one. Awesome. Amazing place: innovative cuisine, quite dining environment and very friendly service

Waitress messed up our order, the place only had one other table who waited for their check for at least 10 minutes. We weren’t impressed at the quality or presentation of the food either. Aside from the service, the place was newly renovated and pleasantly clean. If we ever come back it will be for the restaurant, which wasn’t open unfortunately.

Started dinner off with the local clams appetizer, which was delicious. Also ordered the key lime pie specialty drink which was amazing and came with a graham cracker crusted rim on the martini glass. For my entrée I chose the new seasonal seared scallops which cane with a roasted garlic pumpkin purée, shaved truffle and sugar pumpkin risotto, brussel sprouts and crispy turnips. My friend got the ricotta cavatelli. Both entrees were fabulous! Service was great. All in all, a wonderful experience and can’t wait to go back and try more items.

Fantastic pizza! Great for grab and go, or sit down. Service was fast, nice spots outside to hang out and not feel too crowded. Would like to come back and try the rest of the menu.

The best new restaurant in Martha’s Vineyard — and the best Italian Food I have had in a ***long*** time! I ordered the linguini with clam sauce — it was delicious! My wife had the Caesar Salad and the Mussels, which she liked very much… The restaurant has been completely renovated and it looks like it will be open year-round(a rarity in Edgartown)

We were starving and this was good pizza! There were eight of us and we ordered four pizza and a large salad. When we got all the food, we thought we’d have leftovers for days. And we dont. We ate almost all of the food if that gives any indication on how good it is. My personal favorite was the pesto chicken pizza! I actually couldn’t stop! It’s a definite repeater!

The pizza was very good and more of a thin crust. We had the marguerita with meatball and chicken pesto. The service was very friendly and the food came out quickly.
