Visited this place in 2008 while on a work trip with an architecture firm. Jacques Errcart had us sampling some lovely wines after we went through the art gallery. The building was rehabbed from its original historical intent when Basque herders used it. It looks like it has retained its charm. The surrounding hiking, fishing, hot springs and environs are also a plus. I feel a road trip coming on :-)

The DLC is an great place to have drinks(nectar of the gods is my favorite) But you can also rent the back yard to host a party which I love. The live bands are great, the art is unique and there is an all around good vibe!

Nick the Manager is a cool ass dude! Really takes pride in making the drinks, but bonus, he is from the area and has basque roots, thus making him even cooler — to me this Nevada die hard!

We’re on our way home from a road trip and decided to stop in Elko before going home to SF. I was homesick for really great bars that had knowledgeable bartenders and a huge selection of craft beers. We were so pleased to find this oasis in the desert. The bartender was not only knowledgeable about all their beverages, he even shared some local history about Elko. The only thing they lacked on the menu was mezcal.

They got the Martini down. This place is pretty cool. Sort of divey… sort of upscale all at once. It’s like a little slice of the city life plopped right in the middle of minerville. The bar is pretty long so no problems finding a place to sit during the week. I hear Friday and Saturday nights can be bumping. With all the different bottles behind the bar I was hoping they would be able to mix up a killer handcrafted. It’s probably better to just go with a menu item. It’s probably the best quality alcohol in town… too bad they don’t have the turnover to do something a little more craft. The beers are on tap. They have some. You might like them. I don’t do beer, so you can figure that one out for yourself, they also have bottles. I haven’t checked out the art yet. I was more interested in figuring out why they don’t carry Campari. The answer they gave me was the same my mother gave me when I was a wee tot. Because we said so… I guess that’s why I am hotel drinking my own Negroni right now.

A very nice place to get a drink. Good service, very clean, and well decorated with unique local art. Lots of good drinks to choose from. I also liked the relaxed, non-smokey feel of the place. I would definitely recommend this one to an art/creative drink lover. I wish they had a little food.

Good wine, good beer, good band. It’s a good night. I love this place for a little taste of class and a healthy dose of fresh air.

Holy crap does this bar have the worst service ever. I came down for a show while I was in town and waited almost 45 minutes for a drink. While I understand the bar was crowded they continued to skip over us and help other people who hasn’t been waiting as long. Otherwise it was a very cute place with a good wine selection and an awesome live show.
