The biscuits n gravy is excellent! A thick sauce with a hint of kick. Served hot with a side of Tabasco.

I arrived at 6am and was the first customer so seating was no problem. My server was quick with the menu and water. The place looked clean and the décor was typical greek restaurant. The menu had the big fat greek breakfast listed so that’s what I got. The food came quick and hot. The sunny eggs were perfect. The hash browns were good. The gyro meat was average. The Greek toast was great because that’s my favorite. As a bonus a chunk of cheap domestic feta cheese was on the plate which was a nice touch because feta is good. Over all everything was good and this a solid breakfast place. I would recommend Penelope’s for breakfast. I can’t complain about anything but the weird thing was that there is no ketchup bottle on the table and you get a little cup with the meal, see my pictures.

A good ol’ Greek restaurant with lots of options on the menu. Breakfast is served until 11. I had a crispy chicken sandwich which was pretty good. Chicken noodle soup had lots of noodles. Great little diner for breakfast or lunch.

It was not good at all!!! I had the spicy chicken wings and guess what it was not even cooked All the way. I swear there was one sever there. We didn’t get served like 20 min. I also had french fries. The French fries were so cold. The price was too high. The price was 55 dollars. WHAT A WASTEOFTIME!!!

Descriptive phrase: friendly, older Greek diner. I had a perfectly nice breakfast at Penelope’s Restaurant in Elm Grove on a Wednesday morning. It wasn’t full, but had a nice little population inside for that time of the week. Our server was very friendly, and the space reminded me of every single suburban Greek diner I’ve ever been in; that’s an okay sentiment. My Grecian Skillet($ 8.95) was enough for a meal and a half, without even touching the three slices of toast. It was exactly what I was looking for: eggs on a bed of chopped gyro meat, onions, green peppers, and hash browns, fresh off the griddle. The feta cheese ties the tastes together. Comfort food.

Local restaurant where we all go, it would be nice if the condiments would be on the table and if the owners did not yell at the employees for all to hear

This was my first visit to Penelope’s and I went with the Fish Fry based on my server, Sue’s, recommendation. The fillets were large, white and flakey cod. They were lightly breaded and served enveloped in crispy golden batter. I got it with a side of potato pancakes that I dressed in sour cream and apple sauce. The Fish Fry was very good. I can’t wait to return here for it again.

Meh… I came here not expecting anything fantastic, but I guess I expected a little more. The food came out faster than a McDonalds Drive-Thru which probably means something. The old man at the front was cranky as well. Smile a little. I don’t give 2 star reviews often. But my experience was honestly pretty bleh…

We had a wonderful breakfast with some coworkers here on a Saturday morning. Like many Greek restaurants, the portion sizes are HUGE and the price is right! The location wasn’t hard to find. If I didn’t know it was there, I wouldn’t have thought twice about it. The coffee here is good, the food was very good(I just had pancakes, but they tasted really flipping good!). I’d come back here again with my husband or family when they are in town. It tastes more«homemade» than other breakfast restaurant or chain restaurants!

I started coming here with my grandma when I was in town. It has now become our go-to brunch place in the Milwaukee area. I’ve ordered a few different things, but there is a vegetable skillet with eggs, cheese, and hash browns that I just LOVE. If I can’t decide what to get, I’ll order that and I won’t be disappointed. My dad and bf order more the Greek route(gyros, etc.) and they’ve always been impressed by the food as well. None of the dozen or so family members who have eaten here with me at some point disliked this place. Three cheers for Penelope’s!

I’d gladly take my parents, or my in-laws here. It’s that kind of establishment. There’s something for everyone and I usually leave pretty full. Their Starbucks is brewed on the spot, it tastes fresh every time. No complaints other than the older crowd gets a little fussy on Sunday mornings.

Classic greek style family restaurant. Great sized portions, very affordable. My favorite breakfast place in brookfield area. The starbucks coffee on brew here tastes better than the starbucks at starbucks.

Cute little café, doesn’t resemble a cafeteria as some reviews stated. Friendly waitress, very clean but just average food. Nothing special. We had breakfast, I had eggs, hashbrowns(not crisp at all), and corned beef hash. The coffee tasted like it had been sitting for a while. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there again.

Greek joint, enough said. Like Madam Tussauds, everything is fake and looks like plastic. I guess I would sooner taste what I see at a Greek Restaurant than Madam Tussauds though.

Everyone here is really nice and super kind! The food is what it is but by no means bad. Its a little like a nursing homes cafeteria. The food is good, easily chewed, a huge menu, and I’m addicted to the breaded veal with the super steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes! the Greek wine is excellent! Ambiance is truthfully a cafeteria in a great location. Not a bad place but it is what it is.

Respectable diner fare from a non-chain. The staff is nice, the food was good, and it was clean. Can’t ask much more than that from a diner.
