Filibertos is pretty much the place to go for 2−3am tacos in downtown Encinitas after a night out of drinking and other nonsense. I’ve never actually eaten at this place during the day so I can only speak to the nighttime experience. Around 2 am or so, everyplace downtown empties out and the majority of folks make their drunk way down here for tacos. Nearly every table is full and there’s always some sort of entertainment lol. The food itself is actually pretty good but you can pretty much be guaranteed that your order will be incorrect. I honesty think that I’ve never gotten what I’ve actually ordered but considering the time of day, if it tastes good, it doesn’t really matter lol. The mix ups are likely due to their weird pickup/order scheme and drunkies picking up the wrong orders, oh well. Pros– Late night Good tasting tacos Cali burritos Carne asada Location People watching Cons– Drunkies everywhere Order mix ups Cops all over

Place is a fuckin joke. I should have stopped going to this place after they tried giving me the wrong amount of change. Bought a burrito gave them $ 20 and get $ 3 back. This morning tried getting a breakfast burrito waited literally fuckin 20minutes in line and didn’t get shit so I left, I could have ordered a pizza and it would have arrived before these slow dumbasses made a simple burrito. Tey don’t deserve one star. Place is a joke

Your one job is to speak English and take orders over a telephone. I don’t know how stupid and illiterate you have to be to misunderstand«no guacamole», but this location has succeeded at this task multiple times. It’s not even that I don’t like guacamole, it’s whatever liquid-y, disgusting substance that you qualify as «guacamole» that I do not want doused all over my carne asada fries. Is and always be known as FILSQUIRTOS

Just had their chicken soup. The chicken seemed like it was from a can and hardly no other ingredients. Also, sometimes their hot sauce is watery as if someone diluted it. I tried to email the company through their website thinking the owner would be interested, but it wouldn’t go through.

This food was cold and poorly made. The cheese was not melted, the potatoes in my California burrito were under cooked and my friends chicken burrito had a bone in it. Worst Mexican food ever

I’ve been going here for years and have always gotten exactly what I ordered; a delicious California burrito with sour cream. The salsa is one of my favorites, and the customer service has always been consistently polite. I’ll continue to go here for years to come.

Good food at a good price. The guacamole could be a bit better in my opinion. I love the breakfast burritos. Open 24 hours!

Have been here multiple times and the food is pretty good for a drive thru place. Customer service is lacking big time. They forgot to give me my burrito and I noticed when I got home that it was missing. Obviously I was upset because everyone else had their food but me. I called and the employee did not apologize, but instead told me To drive all the way back to the location. The location is about 20 min away and wasn’t worth the time/gas money. I guess you can keep my money for giving me nothing in return. What a bummer because the food is pretty good.

Last night the only good thing about this place was the sweet girl working the register. The salsa had turned and smelled like vinegar. It had been sitting out too long. The food made me so sick. I have gone to the bathroom 6 times within an hour. If you want to eat here be wary and make sure you have Charmin and the next day off!

My food was covered in guacamole which was mostly raw onions. Totally destroyed the dish. Can’t get that terrible taste out of my mouth. Threw it away.

You get what you pay for here, cheap yummy mexican food 24/7, what more can you ask for? The taquitos are always fresh and when I get them(which is often) and the people there are always super nice to me, even after a looong night of drinking I get great service. They are nice to me maybe because I’m nice and courteous to them, some people should try that, it actually works!

Tucked in the heart of Encinitas, this is a go to spot for the late night bar hoppers. I used to come here after a night of drinking and dancing at D St. Obviously when you’re faded Mexican food tastes the best. Well, being sober is a different ball game. It’s not the greatest — ordered the carne Asada burrito which was ok– nothing to write home about. The Cali burrito, my husband ordered, was not up to its name. If you’re going to make a California burrito in San Diego, you need to make sure every ingredient is worth it. The fries seemed a bit soggy. Anyways– I give it 3 stars because it tastes better when you’re drunk.

This is the spot I always go to when I’m in this part of Encinitas. I usually go here because it is convenient and quick. If I have more time and I’m not starved, I would go somewhere else just a little north of here. Went there today and got a California Burrito and a Carne Asada Burrito. We went through the drive thru and the lady had to come out and ask us what we ordered again for some reason. It was a good thing because I changed my mind at the last minute and wanted a Cali Burrito instead of a Bean and Cheese. We got our food quick and they gave us plenty of red sauce and green(both medium heat and good). I won’t get the Carne Asada Burrito here again. It is ok size, comes only w guacamole and pico, and it has meat juice at the bottom that makes the tortilla soggy and rip. The California Burrito is good, not great. Comes w guacamole, fries, cheese, and pico. Meat was dry today and flavor isn’t as good as other places nearby. Go here because it’s open 24 hours or if you are walking around Encinitas on a beach day. Otherwise, check out some Unilocal spots just north of here for better quality.

I’ve been eating at Filiberto’s for over 18 years and the quality of the food and service has never changed. Open 24 hours to quench your craving any hour of the day. Don’t feel like eating at the restaurant? Take your food to go and enjoy it while watching the waves at D Street just two blocks down the street. The staff has always been incredibly friendly and their prices are great for the amount of food you get. If you are in or around Encinitas and you need some good, fast food. I highly recommend it. I’ve taken all of my out of town friends there and turned them into believers too!

For a fast food chain I was not expecting much. Cheap food, huge tacos, and the torta of my friend was also immense. We had almost the full restaurant empty for us and except the cleanliness of the bathroom, everything was great. The salsa bar is very complete with tons of options to choose.

Filiberto’s is my favorite place for a California Burrito. Filiberto’s is quick, tastes great, and they are open 24 hours. Did I mention that their burritos are huge? What more can you ask for. Filiberto’s always fills me up.

This is the go-to place when all you need in your life is a big, greasy, burrito-bomb. Not much more to be said.

I have been coming here for the past few months and it’s delicious!!! I order the carne asada fries and chorizo burrito-amazing. It’s conveniently located on the coast, their food is always fresh, and service is friendly. Glad I found them.

My bf grabbed Fili’s for us last night and as usual, they forgot my extra side of guac! This is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened, really annoying to get charged for something and not get it. I experimented and got the Arizona Burrito. Ugh, what a disappointment! Carne Asada(I think), chunks of potato and salsa… that’s it. No sour cream, guac, hot sauce, it was SO flavorless. The potatoes tasted like nothing, the salsa wasn’t seasoned and the meat was meh. I will be sticking with my usual 5 rolled taco special from now on.
